A few days ago I cleaned a device that was in much better condition. As you said, it was full of dust and dirt. I don't find these videos convincing either. The artwork is nice, but there's no need for such games.
Even if some of the videos on YT restoring are not 100% real it still give people the chance to know faults in circuits too which i know are genuine because i have fixed random components for many years even before i knew some of the components shown on YT videos now if it wasn't for these guys all over YT there would be a lot more land fill i am saying this in late 2024 now too.

It says restoration. At no point do they tell you how it got to the state it is in. Who cares who did what. They took something broken and "restored" it.

I love these vids but when it comes to cleaning plastics or anything covered in filth, stop cleaning with a brush in a plastic tub with soap and simply place in your kitchen sink or bath tub or use a hose in backyard and use your sprayer, with hot water, to clean it and use your brush/q-tips there. I see electronic youtubers do this many minute nonsense too. I love the repairs and restorations but these cleaning methods are not sane :) I promise people will be satisfied with the terrible lighting of your kitchen, bathroom, or backyard hose.

The entire post by if my post is about how doing it ina tub takes 10 times longer than what I suggested. Their time and especially mine, the viewer, matters. Keyboard weirdos.
I can imagine how she restores her man after a breakdown. If you know what I mean. She can do such miracles with a regular tape recorder. Beautiful girl, respect.
