Your ambition is envious SMIFF, love the racing to watch and reminisce; these old races are golden and much appreciated during this time when theres no racing👍🏻✌🏻
Such a hard hit for Greg Sacks beginning at the 27:00 mark, and it's eerily similar to another infamous crash at this track that took a life of a NASCAR legend. I tried to determine if Sacks was wearing the HANS device as he was unbuckling. I don't think he was since the device can usually still be seen on drivers after they exit their racecars.
That opening package truly gives the Clash meaning.
i like the fact that van halens song right now is playing during the intro to the busch clash

Wish the Clash was still this format; 50-ish miles, just the previous season’s pole winners. Simple.
I can't believe it. The one who died at the 2001 Daytona 500 won the 1995 Busch Clash, is The Intimidator, Dale Earnhardt Sr.
That wiggle by Dale at
40 : 01 opened the door
Yep, and all the commentators missed it. Kept thinking Jeff Gordon made some awesome move. All he did was take advantage of Dale getting loose.
@@4fanintexas I kept waiting for them to show the replay and say "oh look, Dale got loose".

Sacks was at least 2 lanes off the bottom though thankfully. It looked like Jody Ridley (subbing for Bill Elliott) wrecking at the 1989 Daytona 500.
@@badbooking3221 That's true. I didn't think about that at first.
No HANS back then Sacks even bent the seat
Not a big DW fan, but he was good at covering wrecks. Stayed calm and never got too amped up.
Those starter jackets were the bomb!
A Legend
Raise hell and praise Dale
26:28 segment 1 start
27:25 first caution
33:18 second green flag
40:33 end of segment one
49:55 segment 2 start
57:50 end of the race
30:16 how do they not see Loy Allen hit Greg Sacks??
Even the Sacks in car camera shows him turning left into Martin because Allen hit Sacks in the left rear.
