It really really love watching these old Nascar races a whole whole lot and I still watch Nascar and I am still big Nascar fan for a long long time and I want to see a Nascar and I still watch greatest races in Nascar
For some reason, I just love all of the bumper music clips that ESPN used 1995-1997 going to commercial breaks. Wishing I could get a copy of all of them.... But what makes them special is the music is mixed in with the sounds of racing in the background, and especially Bob Jenkins' voice.
@@BossPrepping sure they would suspend him, he made the sport, you see was has happened to nascar since his death, look at the ratings. Nascar died the day earnhardt died
Man... Car's that actually LOOK like factory cars, driver's with personalities and NOT holding their phones, NO stage racing, NO computers or engineers, leaded fuel... Ohhhh the good ol days!!
This is when the track had personality. 75k packed into the place with the mountains of "Thunder Valley" looming in the background! Then Smith decided to turn it into a circus and the place can barely sell 1/2 of it 160k seats. To be fare the attendance problem isn't Bristol's. They just built way too many seats during the "Boom Era" of the mid 90's through early 2000's.
On August 26, 1995, ESPN's Speedworld traveled to Bristol International Raceway in Bristol, Tennessee, for the live coverage of the Goody's 500, during the 1995 NASCAR Winston Cup Series season. At 3:51:40, Terry Labonte crashed the hood of the #5 Kellogg's car during the final lap.🙂
Love the old school music in the old school graphics of ESPN
Thank You for showing this - I've always wanted to see this race - Terry's car was clean until he got to the checkered flag
I remember watching it live on TV and it's one of only a handful of races from my 26 years of watching that's engrained into my memory forrever.

Thank you so much for the pre race conversations and the post race and everything this was one of the greatest races of all time in any series
That was a very crazy night, but well worth it in the end...
Great race! Thanks for uploading!!
Jerry Punch from 1995 (0:20 timestamped from this video) had no clue how correct he was
They don't call him *DR* jerry punch for nothing
I went to the 2019 night race at Bristol motor speedway for my 50th birthday still a fun race
Bill Weber interviews Ward Burton at 10:37.
Dang.....ol....mega lo....mart
OMG he sounds just like his boy in that pre race interview damn o.O
If you’re talking about Dale Earnhardt he was 44 when this race was ran. JR is 46 today.
@@billyjohnson3368 dat voice :) and that slang are the exact same :P
Are y’all speaking of the interview at 15:10 , Doc Punch and Big E!!!! #3fureva.
Classic Dale! Comes from the back 3 times and finishes 2nd! Dale was Nascar!
@36:54.. I spy a future 7x crew chief...
1st race for Ward Burton w/ Bill Davis
thankyou sir
Actually Terry cut down on the bottom blocking dale from getting under him. They don't make them like that guy in the black car anymore
Lol nascar would suspend if they was
@@BossPrepping sure they would suspend him, he made the sport, you see was has happened to nascar since his death, look at the ratings. Nascar died the day earnhardt died
Absolutely good sir #3always
Crowd go's wild during the interview as Rusty bounces a water bottle off of Dale's nose. Good times!

Exactly.
I think getting rid of leaded fuel was a good idea.
@@belkaisbetterthanosea5490it might have been but them getting rid of the 21gal fuel cell was a dumb idea.
You must not believe in evolution
Ole ward Burton was so underrated
I always thought it was cool michael waltrip had his own matching flag 😅
Wow the track has changed so much
Yep for the worst
Wish they would have never touched it

tuowl05 I was there in 2015 for the night race, easily 95% full just like every night race so you must be talking about the day races
I went to Bristol in August 2019 for my 50th birthday changed the speedway has changed alot but the action is still fun to see
Gooder and gooder 😂
At 32:51, the ESPN Update music had a six note tune, which looks like the SportsCenter theme.👍
Good ta see the tide ride….Ruddin it on ta the hall……go rooster
Race Start: 1:05:40
1:14:18 Dale Earnhardt taps Rusty Wallace
1:17:05 Dale gets a Black Flag
Dale learned his lesson , next time in '99 , to make sure to wreck terry in turn 1 instead of 4 !
I just meant to rattle his gage tho
