People complain that the s8 don't have dual camera. Now ppl complain the note has new dual camera. People complain about only 4 gb of ram. Now they complain 6gb is not enough
people complaining about the wrong things.

3 get rid of the disgusting glass back.
Al R people complaint about old plastic backs on samsung...when samsung changed to glass they complained about the glass back...smh
zz zz People complains about the Removal of IR blaster, but they never realize an $1000 iphone doesn't has it
Techy Taco , yea it sure doesn't that's why we are Android users where you can customize and have multiple features. But the heck with that right?
I'm so glad that samsung is continuing to include waterproofing, a headphone jack, and an SD card slot while creating one of the largest screen to body ratios on the smartphone market using OLED 1440p. I'm all about critical feedback but if we push too hard for dual speaker for example, im afraid it might cost the headphone jack, battery size or waterproofing to achieve these and honestly i dont use my phone speaker more than these other features. People are being extremely harsh on this phone but I have yet to see any legitimate criticism outside of "it looks too close to the S8".. if it aint broke dont fix it
FunziesGuy know why people are rambling on about stereo speakers? it's because iphone has them that's why. if it was samsung that took off the headphone jack, the same thing would've happened.
Modikoe Pule I don't think that the stereo speakers had anything to do with the Fruit devices. It has to do with ease of use. When you have to increase the volume and/or hold the phone in a certain way just to fully understand the speech on a video (or, why not, enjoy some music off of your phone), then something's missing. The Note 8 is missing something important to a real ease of use.

The people complaining about this phone are probably people who already have the S8, but as somebody who has only used iPhones for years, this phone looks phenomenal, and I can't wait for it to be my first Samsung experience.

A squared S8 plus with dual cam, S Pen, and some additional software features. Nice!
I like how half the comments are "Oh I'd rather just have the s8, this isn't a big improvement." Yeah, we get it. This phone is for part of the fanbase that uses the S pen or wants a bigger screen, not everyone. Why do you think the s lineup exists?
No kidding. If it weren't for my job, I would prefer a Pixel. The S-pen is a killer feature in the field: I can annotate maps for bids (which I do almost every day), get signatures in the field without feeling like a dork, do fine markup work on photos I attach to accounts, etc. It is indispensable. For a desk jockey, yeah, I get it, the S-pen is just a gimmick. But everybody has different use cases. If I could force our field database app to play nice with multi-window, I'd never need any better tech.

Definitely gonna get this phone. I have always been a fan of the note series. The s pen is my favourite feature. I love the whole art on the go.
Nice vid!! Can you add apps to the lock-screen on the note 8? Also on the note 8 does it show the carrier name on the top left lock-screen, if so, can that be removed? thanks! :)

I have the problem on note 8 screen when using s pen. When i hover over spen on the area near earpiece it flicks and moves to location other than that. You can observe it too. Its problem of all the note 8

writing this comment from Note 8. The feeling is awesome. I was using Note 5 for about 3 years. Not looking to use anything else anymore.
The entire package of new features is appealing. Have already ordered direct from Samsung and was able to take advantage of the trade-in incentive for former Note 7 owners. A $425 discount is significant.
The note 3 had app pairings for multi window. I'm surprised they took it away
I have the S8 and the battery on mine is awsome i took it off the charger at 100% at 10 lastnight and still haven't bin on charger yet my phone is at 51% right now so battery on s8 good with me so i think the note 8 should have good battery life
Dennis Finley is it really that good? I wanted to get one but my s7's battery won't get me to the end of the day anymore (although I've had it for close to 2 years now)

Thats odd cause i bought the 8 plus and had to charge 2 to 3 times a day but when i got bored in got note 8 i only charge once a in the mourning but tbh note 8 has 6gbs of ram but the s8 felt smoother and snappier theres no way an s pen glorified stylus uses 2gbs of ram but their both great just no perfect Samsung yet to me but i wouldn't switch to any other fruit or android device

Damn i wish the dual camera feature was in my S8+ . Overall prefer the design in the S series compared to the note 8 cause of the softed look compared to the squarish ones. (Dont really like the design placement of the camera tho but thats my opinion). Other than that not bad
The most important setback is limiting the gif text. I mean you are supposed to write whatever you wish to write without any kind of limit

Where did you get these note 8 from?
got mines early before official release date and the features are nice...i like the feel of the phone and slimness...it is a tall phone and bixby is pretty cool as I learn what i can do with it..the 'bixby vision' on the camera is pretty cool too...can capture an image of anyhing not the barcode and it will look up similar products..havent seen that on any phone....and the Augmented reality on the camera is cool too...battery life so far is ok, but they really did add some high tech features to the phone im stilling learning and testing out

The note8 is perfect I have a Galaxy s8plus right now and it's a great phone with a beautiful stream I'm looking forward of upgrading to the Note 8 especially more RAM I will get my S Pen back since I am in no enthusiast

Miniature battery, curved display is a gimmick, no stereo speakers, awkward placement of the fingerprint sensor, etc.
4k video streaming....except on verizon, where you can stream in 720.

I had to trade in my Note 7 for the Pixel XL which is still going strong. Unfortunately I don't think I can go back to the Note now as nice as it looks.

Honestly they should either combine the S and Note series or make the Note series the standard model. One premium Samsung phone to compete with everything else.

Massive screen plus the edges really concern me. Firstly because if you drop it it is done, and secondly, it will be a pain to hold it without touching the edges by accident. I suppose you can put a nice case to prevent that but the device will end up being massive.

Is the Note 8's "wide" lens comparable to the LG G6's wide angle lens? Or is the Note 8's wide angle lens just a standard angle lens that's "wide" because it's wider than the 2nd zoom lens?

Basically the app pair feature is existed in Note 3 before...
It's still pretty much an s8 plus with a pen the only really new feature is the camera which is basically an iPhone 7 plus camera which is almost a year old
When a smaller battery becomes worthwhile mentioning you really get the feeling that a company is desperate for the public to regain confidence in them. How's a smaller battery supposed to keep the phone from catching on fire? It doesn't sounds like they've changed the battery mechanics
the last 3 features could be added to the S8 via an update.. so basically, this phone doesn't have a lot to differentiate itself from the S8.

note is just too powerful to miss out on no matter how u look at it...note 8 is the king
5 years ago I was in between Note 2 and S3. Got the note, still using it. S3 died out 1 year later. Now I've waited for Note rather than getting the S8. I say the note is more future proof and good for people like me who changes their phones once in 3-4 years.
Can't wait till it's out....I hope my note 4 makes it lol
