I have been using a note 8 for 4 years now, the only thing that is outdated is it's battery being quite small compared to the newer phones like iPhone 13 but in general this is a good phone
The ability to create GIF animation from Smart Select has been present in the Note7 and later rolled out to the Note5. It's a neat feature indeed!
Having Note 5 for more then a year now I got used to S Pen and everything that comes with it. It's great to see that Samsung is putting efforts to give a proper new functions to S Pen. One with animation, favorite one definitely, something that you need to do with every Android phone. Great video!

Raul Madrid You know Note 5 is a great phone and I'm not in hurry to change. I am not fan of curved screens, don't see the point beside esthetics. Right now I am more into V30. And price tag, little bit over the top...
Blue Moon but now looking at Note 8 I feel outdated the new one feels more futuristic I've tried the demo and feel the difference. Don't forget the multitasking feature. It could be handy
I've had the Note 5 for 2 years and I was happy to upgrade. The Note 5 didn't slow down too much, but I wanted to switch to another carrier and so it seemed like a good time to upgrade.

Have a look inside the notes for action memo, when you write with the pen, there is an additional menu that allows you for example to save a number you have just jotted down, or go to maps based on a postcode you write down. Sure it was on the Note 7 deffo on the Note 5 and earlier

Hi, thanks for the video. How can I get a "blue" note 8 here in the States?
Hi, could you do a video on using the speaker to chat (phone call) with another party while driving? Samsung older models are not very good in speaker when driving and the other party hears distorted voice. I wonder how the Note 8 speaker mode quality is as I do not want to use bluetooth earpiece if possible as it is troublesome to charge earpiece. Thanks
Liked your video and the tricks. The one I'm having trouble with is the "Screen off Memo" feature. I toggled on that feature but it won't write on the blank screen. Any ideas? Thanks

This normal mode on live focus is no more available after latest update why ?
I like the note 8, but it isn't a huge leap ahead like previous version of the phone. Plus in Canada, it is $300 more or so then an S8+. I was planning to get the note 8 when my contract was due early next year but it basically highly depends on price right now :(

I am gravitating towards this phone so much more than the iphone new phones! I have an iphone 6 plus, none of the models that came after it made me wanna buy them..now I want a new phone but I am afraid of the lagging or not getting software updates..its giving me a headache!

All of the features that he highlighted with the S Pen I can do with my LG Stylo 3.....screen off MeMO, Smart select including animation gif capture. No button on the stylus but you can easily select that option to erase. No way I'm trying to say that this phone compares to the Note 8 but for 200 bucks it's well worth the money. I purchase the LG Stylo 3 plus from T-Mobile because I need a phone to hold me over. I'll eventually purchase the LG V30 but I'm in no rush, will wait for the price come down first. LG Stylo 3 is highly recommended.
a lg stylus don't compare to a note 3 little loan a not 5 7 or 8. its a budget phone that copies note features except for palm rejection & pressure sensitivity. at least they finally jumped to fhd on the pro version but the specs are quite mediocre but good phone for the price & if you want a note like phone on a budget. personally I'd hit e bay & look for a note 3 instead though. most features on the n8 carriers won't even support for a yr or so. so a lot is just improvement for the sake of having it. I'm still on my n7 & have a n8 coming in mail & will only pay around 600 by time I send 1 of my n7s back & sell the s7e sammy gave me as a replacement with the 450$ cheque I should come out of it well. & keep my n7 with all its accessories I got at a fraction of their rrp. I'm happy I have 2 phones & 10g ram now
Hey can someone help me I just updated my hp pavilion 15t (i5-7300HQ ,GTX 1050) laptop to windows 10 1703 version, since then when ever I connect my laptop to my mobile data hotspot it says connected but no internet connection. On troubleshooting it says improper ip address.

It seems to have a reminder function to trigger alarm if you leave without your pen. No idea if it is true, still waiting for my Note 8 to arrive impatiently.

Chu Zhen Mok So let's say you don't hear the alarm. You walk away from S Pen which you dropped and you lose it forever. You can buy an S Pen separately and replace it or is it a rip to your entire phone
The saddest part is I am from Malaysia and they will only start to send out Note 8 by 18/9. Argh~~
it will keep saying where is it in the notification bar from my experience but you can just buy a new pen will be fine no need to replace the whole phone.
split screen app is stupid on smartphone you can't see anything and it doesn't look comfortable at alll... floating tiny app like something on sony xperia is better.
ajr13 one of the feature I want most is the split screen. I can browse thru things while watching TH-cam.
so you browsing or watching video? sounds uncomfortable. you neither focus on the video or focus on what you're browsing..

boo! are you a stupid iphone user? because i have the 7Plus and while it has a better camera and 256gb of memory, it's not significantly faster than my Note 2, and my Note 2 has been doing split screen multi-tasking since 2012. there are people who can manage more than one thing at once and the ability to scan youtube videos while chatting about it with a friend on viber can't be beat.
and i'm guessing you haven't looked for directions on google maps while looking for a contact so that you can call and tell them where you're exact location is at that moment

I mean Just look at it..... multitasking on tiny display is silly. it is nice additional for certain task like copying and paste.. but for most it's looks so uncomfortable.
