When did you show how to affix the clips? I saw you drilling a hole, and then cleaning the dirt, and the next moment I saw a number of clips already installed - am I missing something?
Question: on the door side, I only have a single 2x4 stud under the sheetrock and Kerdi, where the door hinges would go . Is that enough? I know EXACTLY where it is. Thanks for any help on this question
The little plastic at the bottom, is it really suppose to be on the inside? I have it and it gets wet and tracks the water outside when you open the door. Wouldn’t it work better outside?
Do these types of doors need to be installed into an area with a stud? I've seen them installed with a marble piece over the tile, I'm assuming to create more support?
"We're going to go ahead now and set the glass in..." then video completely skips it - the single most important thing I was waiting to see. How do you set the glass down on the bottom without it breaking?
He mentioned a 1/4” gap between the door and glass panel, but you all used a door stopper. They just installed a new door on mine and there is a 0.5cm gap. A little bigger than 3/16” on both side, wall side and glass panel side of the door. Did they cut the door too short? I don’t have a door stopper so the gap is just there. The last door didn’t have one either but sat almost exactly flush.
I have hardie becker board and tiles on my remodel shower. Do we need to anchor a frameless glass shower door to stud? If there is no stud, then is it ok to just anchor it to the wall? Would you recommend a swing door or slide door?
@@TwinHomeExperts that's the issue we are having. We got our shower door installed, it looks the same at this install BUT the door hinge side leaks terribly and every time we shower, the floor is a puddle, our floor mats are getting destroyed from constant washing and drying. We are so irritated and we dont know how to remedy the situation. Our door is exactly like the one in the video. The gap between door and tile is causing the issue.
Y'all did a great job but Im on the east coast so cant hire to install mine. Unidoor brand has hinged area pre cut. I am assuming then I have no choice as to where to place hinges. How did you choose where to put hinges and what brand was this

What happens when there's no stud on the wall that you need to hand the door to?
You put backing behind the wall

Much easier getting through ceramic than porcelain.
Where can i purchase this hardware

yes, studs will typically be in the hinge area . Thank you for your comment .
Usually folks put double 2x6 as end studs. This assures you have something sturdy to hang off.

It is recommended to anchor to a stud, however i done many that did not anchor on a stud.
I always assure I plan mine to have studs behind as those doors are very heavy. A door that eventually sags is going to end up as a shattered door.
ok , need to be careful screw cap don't come loose
Love the channel. Quick question are anchors good for kerdi or hydro block systems or do I need to fasten to studs
So what stops the water on the door hinge side? There's no seal.!
Great Question! We dont have any issues with leaks there..There is nothing you put there. Thanks so much for posting.

*You are installing the "clips" onto the curb. Won't this compromise your water proof curb?*
Not at all. It is normally caulked. I always apply caulk in the screw hole under the mounting clip.
This is nicely done! Not sure why so many thumbs down.

Do you ever block the hinges ? Are you using CRL hardware ?
