They look nice,. However, the price on many glass door options are crazy. They make custom shower curtains that run on a track from the ceiling that look nice and drape all the way to the floor. Definitely more reasonable choice.
Thanks for the video - at 2:05 - you have a Euro glide door - but it seems to only slide for one door. Do they make that style that slides for both doors like your standard tub slider doors?
Nice explanations. On the sliding door on the rollers/rail you said that one complaint is that a small amount of water leaks out. Can this problem be decreased by putting the door on the opposite side of the shower from the shower head? However this would be less convenient when opening the door to turn on the shower while you wait for the water to warm up possible causing the user to get wet with cold water? What do you think?
That first frameless is exactly what we want. Ours will also open against a short piece of wall like that. When you open that door all the way, what does it bump into? Is there a special bumper for glass doors, or a hinge that stops at 90 degrees and won't let the door go any farther?
It should always cost the customer twice or more than what the installer pays for those of you who really want to know. Why twice as much? Its basically insurance, this way if a panel is damaged the installer still makes a lil money. If everything goes well then the installer makes his bonus 🙂
Flat glass frameless panels should not be costly. Cutting holes in glass should not be costly. Good quality hardware (stainless steel) can be costly. Good quality planning and installation labour is priceless (even if you do it yourself).
My interest in any of their products was instantly gone as soon as I heard that a complaint was leaking of the door, but 'it's no big deal'. WHAT? That a used cheesy used car sales tactic if I ever saw one! Wate will destroy and rot things so yes, it is a major deal. I've also wondered why folks have become so bunged up on shower doors 'looking great'. How many people come in watch you shower or stare at your bathroom and say 'ohhhhh my what a good looking shower door, I can die hapy now'...sigh
He completely skipped over the style door I have. Those sliders on the stand are cool and all, but what’s the one on the bottom that he called oil bronze isn’t a slider… what is it?!? Mine is messed up and doesn’t close properly!
One question, should this glass door be inward or outward when opened? I mostly see these glass doors are outward; different from wooden ones which is always inward.
Thanks for posting a very informative video. We're about to rip out a bathtub and are undecided about installing a walk in frameless shower or one with a door so it's not so draughty.
Any of these doors can be gotten for more than half of his price range, I have purchased two, one from lowes and the other online and neither was above $500 and that was for frameless and semi frameless. Oh 2024 prices
Show some respect, don’t bother watching, the man kindly explained the different options and it helped me out learning and choosing which route I would like to go. Be kind for 2021, it’s a cold world out there already!
It's not every day that Steve Kerr runs me through my best shower door options.
kerr has hit hard times with covid
The most useful and helpful video I seen today. Thank you!
It's quiet...it's solid....followed up by a squeak. :)
What was the avg cost to the 2nd to the last door that you showed? I didn’t hear you mention the cost. Thanks!!

What kind of tile is in the first tub? Which is the best for a small shower?
Great video! So the best frameless to prevent water leakage is the Inline panel door?
Thank you for your great advice on shower door options.
Can I use plexiglass or fiberglass instead of actual glass for my shower door?
My town needs this guy

Does 59 inch bypass shower door fit on 60 inch shower base?!
you guys do great work
I've just recently had a client want a plexiglass shower door because of handicap family members. That sort of thing is nowhere to be found
Great overview! But where are the rats?
my tub threshold slims down at one area to two inches. is there a slliding door that will work?
What's a good glass or best thick glass for a bypass door tub?
maybe 10mm tempered glass or ultra clear glass

Do all these shower doors you demoed have regular glass, or Optiwhite? They all had the greenish tint on the edge, so I'm thinking regular glass.
Yes clear glass is an option. Great question!
That $1800 door goes for $450-650 online and it will be double sliding and you can put a water dam along the bottom to deflect water from coming out
i need to see a bifold door option
