- I got the idea for this video from my friend, slickricklj.
Tommy & Kimberly faced off against their evil Mutant Ranger counterparts in "Mighty Morphin' Mutants".
Adam & Katherine battled their Shadow counterparts in the episode "Shadow Rangers".
Both pairs of rangers were ultimately defeated in these initial encounters, but which duo held their own the best? - บันเทิง

Tommy and Kim hands down. Kims gymnastics training made her stronger and more agile than Kat. Adam was good at martial arts, but he hadn't had the years of training that Tommy had.

Plus Jason David Frank was actually a martial artist off screen as well, so comparing them isn't really fair

Kat's fight in that episode was a joke, and that is not the character or the actress's fault. Kimberly's was cut way back compared to how much Tommy got to fight too, so eh, overall the MMPR fight was better choreographed and had more happening. Adam's fight was much more a back and forth whereas Tommy's was just a relentless attack.
I met Tommy, Adam and Catherine at the London Comic Con a few months ago. Awesome.

Tommy can't decide whether he is green ranger or white ranger with that green and white top on.
It's hard to choose between Tommy and Adam, but I would definitely say Kimberly is better than Katherine.

Both teams got their asses handed to them but Tommy and Kim put Adam and Kat to shame but that's neither Adam's nor Kat's fault because Tommy and Kim fought Mutant Ranger putties but Adam and Kat fought Shadow Ranger clones of themselves!
Whenever I start fights i'll make sure I'll start doing Kart Wheels first, that's what I learn from this video ;)

Tommy was giving it everything he's got, his experience, but he could have improvised to catch Green Mutant off guard.
Adam was using his surrounding environment to his advantage, but he didn't last long.
so The boys are tied.
Kimberly, she used not just traditional fight moves but like usual displayed a lot of agility, by incorporating her Gymnastic Skills.
Kat, was doing okay, but she was defeated fast.
So Kimberly takes first place.
I get comparing two similar fights, but like many people pointed out below, the Shadow Rangers were a lot stronger than some enhanced Putties and it's really not fair to compare S2 Tommy and Kim with Turbo Adam and Katherine since the latter two had a ton more experience by their fight scene.

Kat was not in this episode. This was either the tail end of season one or sometime right before Jason, Zack, and Trini were written out of the show. Tommy had to still wear green shirts to try and trick us into thinking that Zack, Trini, and Jason had not left the show ; using all of the recycled footage of the command center and unmorphed fight footage involving the three, plus newer footage of the episodes that Austin, Thuy and Walter were not actually involved with.
I say Tommy and Kim Not because they are the best but because I've seen both episodes

You only showed us a few seconds of Katherine so I can't really make a good judgement call here. Show us more of the fight with Katherine and then we can all make a good assessment.

That is the bulk of the fight Katherine had with the shadow ranger. The next time you see Katherine she is on the ground and shadow pink grabs her arm behind her back and teleports her away.

To try to compare Tommy and Adam or Kim and Kat you gotta get a better fight scene with Adam and Kat. The one you used definitely make Tommy and Kim look better. Just an observation.
Tommy and Kimberly all the way because their fight in skill we're challenged and they could have won if the evil rangers didn't leave. Adam and Kat knew that the evil rangers had the same powers and they still shrugged.
obviously tommy and kim did better. but to be unbias. The ones that tommy and kim were fighting were just putties, while the ones adam and kat were facing if I remember correctly were actually copied clones.
That, and the ones Adam and Kat were fighting were using their own powers against them, so their job was much harder.

Yea, this is pretty obvious. Tommy and Adam's fights were in general better than the girl's but Tommy v. Adam and Kim v. Kat Tommy and Kim won. The mutant actually never even landed a hit on Kim the way they did on Kat. I almost don't understand why Kim landed on the ground next to Tommy unless it was from that little push the mutant gave here there at the end. Then with Tommy and Adam well the clone is just laying major smack down on Adam while Tommy is at least doing well defending himself.
Kim definitely but Adam is the male equivalent to Kimberly on many levels.

JDF and Johnny Yong Bosch often didn't need stunt doubles. Amy Jo if you look uses her gymnastics and the odd kick. The guys are the real deal with martial arts. Katherine is the same...little MA.
