I completely agree with you on the topic. Hopefully more people see this before the final character cause based on certain things sakurai has said the last character is probably another anime swordsman from a game he really likes.
I don’t hate the sword fighters or anyone who enjoys the sword fighters, but I just wish that some other kinds of characters made it in. I get that lots of people enjoy the sword fighters, but what about the other people that enjoy different types of characters? It’s amazing that many of the characters representations helped their respective series overall, but there’s lots of characters whose series are still poorly represented. The main one being sonic. I would’ve loved to see knuckles or tails. I don’t know, I don’t want to sound hateful but it just feels very disappointing. I wish that someone would see the whole “sword fighter” argument from the side of the people that don’t enjoy the sword fighters. Still, very nice video.

Like you say everyone is entitled to their own opinion, no need to think that just because someone hates something you're supposed to hate it too. That's their opinion, your opinion doesn't need to change. Even if that person is your best friend. Let's say your friend hates something example would be Smash, and he says that I don't play it because of etc. Are you going to stop playing it for him or her? No! If they stop talking to you or argue about it because you play it then you should just forget about them. Find better friends or people who will accept your opinion no matter what. I swear people like those who think if their opinion is not heard, and then send death threats shouldn't even have internet. That's messed up, and shouldn't be seen as a human being. This is very similar to anime shows and manga. If not the same to be honest. Creators of Games and Manga get death threats, hate like they're suppose to listen to the fans. They can listen, maybe try to do what you want, but at the end of the day, THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT TO DO! That's their life's work not yours. You want something to change? Go do something for yourself where your opinion will matter. Like BlazinBacon said "The world doesn't revolve around your opinion". Sorry for the long paragraph, hopefully I made sense. Just that it makes me upset that people can't express their opinion about something, and those who send death threats.
