Nice video. I do stuff like this just for practice. A few weeks ago I had a free flow on my second stage. Sip some air, see if there is something in the second stage. Bang it on my hand a few times. Take another sip. Turn the valve off and turn it back on. Still free flowing. Switch to my alternative air source (it was not free flowing). Try a few more things to stop the free flow. No joy. Slowly ascent to the surface. Call the dive. No panic. just a little annoyed I had to call the dive. If more people did "playing around sessions" I bet there'd be less panicked divers shooting to the surface.
Amazing to see so many comments from obviously certified divers on breathing just from air bubbles? I thought to breath air from a broken second stage (similar case) constantly blowing air (bubbles) is part of any OWD certification.....Great job Achim.
A good instructor will teach you breathing from a free-flowing 2nd stage. A better instructor will also teach you how to breathe from your inflator in an emergency. Breathing straight from the tank valve I haven't seen in any recreational dive training.
This is so good man!! So great DEMO of what is a PROPER DIVE SKILLS, this diver / organisation really knows what id DIVE!! Tones of respect man! Good Video!! Amazed!.. I have to try that for sure!
No way man he sucks because he forgot to show us how to clear a mask with no air bubbles escaping 3 times on one breath. If he was skilled very professional he could do this also and not just breath from bubbles.
Good demonstration for higher skill levels for a diver. Improving diver skills by doing things like this is good and might just save a divers life when it really counts. People may not realise that the diver videoing this is probably a safety diver for the exercise as well. So he's not doing this on his own.
How does the exercise ends? We can see 3 stops with 3 différents kinds of situation but I would like to know how do you finish this.... Go back to the first tank.?
At last, an organization that understands, that every dive is different and requires different approach. Not all dives need double cilynders, stage or drysuit! I am tired of watching dirs, diving full.armor for a 10 meters dive at 40 degrees air temperature. For fucks sake, enjoy and get wet !!
I expected, that at the end there would be no tank only a regulator :)
Great Idea - next time :-D
I just figured he would suck the air out of the water.
O that made me laugh so much!

Hi Achim! Super Video! Where did you get this very nice orange tec-fins?
I was expecting him to start using his gills after the last inflator milestone 😂

Would like to see this done at 30m

What about the mask, is there any reason not to wear it?
Reduce comfort.
What's the depth?
around 5 meters if I remember correct
ok ;)
greetings from Poland
This is mad ! :P
can u show us how to clear a mask without any bubbles leaving and do it few times on a single breath, while maintaining trim and neutral buoyancy.
Total idiot. Can you please stop asking stupid questions and learn how to construct a proper sentence? Moron.
