I'm an italian girl and a supporter of both Ermal and Fab since forever (they are not a "band" here in Italy, just friends who wanted to duet for once to spread this beautiful message). I'm really glad to see all this international positive reactions, since here in Italy most of the people (not their fan, obv) said they were just trying to "easy win" by taking advantages of a tragedy (when they're actually two lovely and precious guys). Well this can be said for every song that has lyrics about a tragic story. I France with Mercy taking advantage of the refugees situation? Was Jamala profiting on the Tatar's genocide? These are opinions that will be used every time by people to demean the song, you should not care, Italy's song is great with a very positive message and it would be sad if they don't land at least in top 10.

I was waiting for this song review! This is my number #1 for all the reasons you mentioned, so I can't really bring much to the discussion. I think the key in the Final will be the balance between emotion and lyrics. Many people don't understand Italian, but I think the emotion these 2 singers carry will reach many hearts (like it happened last year with Salvador). I have a feeling the song won't win the contest, but I'm glad they created the song in the first place, it is already a win in itself for me.

You loved all my favourites so far.... This is (behind Czech Republic and Hungary) my 3rd place.... There's something so unbelievably touching about the song, that just can't leave anyone cold. At least it can't leave ME cold. Everytime I listen to this song I'm about to cry... When I first heard it I didn't even know the lyrics, but I knew exactly what they were talking about. There's such a wall of Anger and emotions behind this song. Together with two voices that fit and Support eachother so well, and a simple, but yet odd melody this is just a masterpiece to me. I couldn't describe it any better. I have been a fan of both of them for more than a year now and it means so much to see them at the ESC stage ❤I watched Sanremo, the Italian national final back in February, and they were almost disqualified from the festival, can you believe that? I am glad they surpassed all the obstacles on their way and they are heading to Lisbon. In order to prove that Europe doesn't need extravagant songs and staging. Just two guys, two microphones, two exceptional voices and a masterpiece of a song. Hopes up for #Rome2019.❤
As an Italian, I really like our entry this year but I'm afraid it will fly under the radar. For starters, it isn't really a song that grabs you from the first listen. It took me a while to truly appreciate it after Sanremo, but the generalist public who tunes in on Eurovision on the night and constitutes the majority of voters won't have listened to the song enough to grasp the message and the little, understated elements that make it good. The message, the lyrics and their delivery are also really important to this song and it might be hard for a non-Italian speaker to grasp the raw emotion and meaning behind the words. To a lesser extent, this is a problem we had with Gabbani last year too, "Occidentali's Karma" had the benefit of being an extremely catchy song but by the night a lot of people just labeled it as "the silly song with the gorilla". For better or for worse, "Non mi avete fatto niente" has neither the same degree of catchiness nor the gorilla to stand out. My hope is that the atmosphere of the music and the sentiment Moro and Meta put in their live performance will go past all of this, it worked for Salvador Sobral after all.

I agree with you in everything you said. This is a masterpiece, a true piece of art, and in my opinion, it should win. For its message, for their voices, for just... everything! I cried my eyes out when I first listened to it. It’s just so powerful and beautiful. But I think it’s not being judged correctly by other people because it has not been translated in english. Ermal and Fabrizio said they didn’t want to translate it, because they wanted to keep the message as pure and strong as possible. I honestly like everything about this song: music, lyrics, vocals and the message. This is my favourite this year and I am going to vote for them. Plus, I checked out other songs of Ermal Meta and I must say that he is an amazing artist, definitely discovery of the year for me (Fabrizio is cool too). As an Italian mothertongue speaker, I don't like our entry that much because of how the words are combined, some sentences look quite banale but of course I'm Italian so it's normal that I have this attitude towards the lyrics.. I got this ferling with Grande Amore and l'Essenziale too. However I really appreciate the message and the musical structure! I understand why people like it. Oh, I also saw that we have the same Sanremo winner (I really loved Adesso ❤️). I absolutely love how you put your heart and your knowledge in your reactions. Italy has had solid enties with a strong message for the third year running. The two previous ones, I felt, were let down in the live show, with staging that looked like it belonged on a childrens channel. This years entry is powerful, but for me it took a few listens to get a hang of it. Very pleased this song is in the competition. They will need to come up with some simple yet informative staging for this one to get the message through. Good luck!

I even went in to this with high expectations, since I'm a huge fan of both of them as individual artists and songwriters, but this song - no, this experience - just blew me out of the water and hit me in the feels. Honestly, for me, this song is good when you watch the music video with English subtitles. But because I can barely understand Italian, when I watched in the national selection, my first impression was I felt complaints then anger and chaos with nice break down. Talking about the song, the melody is good, vocals are okay. Well, I hope the general audiences can get messages from the live performance. Hope it does well in the final.
In a recent interview, the singers stated that they won’t translate the song for Eurovision. That won’t probably make things easier, but it would a smart move if they will show the content of the video with Euro-subtitles

I think a top 10 finish is realistic for this song. Personally I hope they make top 5. In terms of a song with a message, this song is ten times better than the French entry even though people seem to love that and aren't bothered about this one. I've loved most of Italy's entries since their return to the contest to be honest- except that one with the wailing guy on the piano that somehow placed 2nd.

You loved all my favourites so far.... This is (behind Czech Republic and Hungary) my 3rd place.... There's something so unbelievably touching about the song, that just can't leave anyone cold. At least it can't leave ME cold. Everytime I listen to this song I'm about to cry... When I first heard it I didn't even know the lyrics, but I knew exactly what they were talking about. There's such a wall of Anger and emotions behind this song. Together with two voices that fit and Support eachother so well, and a simple, but yet odd melody this is just a masterpiece to me. And I don't even care if they get to top 5 or 10 because they've already touched something in my heart that Counts much more than Eurovision victory. Much Love from Germany to our Italian friends

I couldn't describe it any better. I have been a fan of both of them for more than a year now and it means so much to see them at the ESC stage ❤I watched Sanremo, the Italian national final back in February, and they were almost disqualified from the festival, can you believe that? I am glad they surpassed all the obstacles on their way and they are heading to Lisbon. In order to prove that Europe doesn't need extravagant songs and staging. Just two guys, two microphones, two exceptional voices and a masterpiece of a song. Hopes up for #Rome2019.❤
As an Italian, I really like our entry this year but I'm afraid it will fly under the radar.
For starters, it isn't really a song that grabs you from the first listen. It took me a while to truly appreciate it after Sanremo, but the generalist public who tunes in on Eurovision on the night and constitutes the majority of voters won't have listened to the song enough to grasp the message and the little, understated elements that make it good.
The message, the lyrics and their delivery are also really important to this song and it might be hard for a non-Italian speaker to grasp the raw emotion and meaning behind the words. To a lesser extent, this is a problem we had with Gabbani last year too, "Occidentali's Karma" had the benefit of being an extremely catchy song but by the night a lot of people just labeled it as "the silly song with the gorilla". For better or for worse, "Non mi avete fatto niente" has neither the same degree of catchiness nor the gorilla to stand out.
My hope is that the atmosphere of the music and the sentiment Moro and Meta put in their live performance will go past all of this, it worked for Salvador Sobral after all.

As I said, I think it's a song that relies more on the emotional and lyrical delivery, so for other people it might not be as strong depending on their taste. I cried my eyes out when I first listened to it. It’s just so powerful and beautiful. But I think it’s not being judged correctly by other people because it has not been translated in english. I honestly like everything about this song: music, lyrics, vocals and the message. This is my favourite this year and I am going to vote for them. Plus, I checked out other songs of Ermal Meta and I must say that he is an amazing artist, definitely discovery of the year for me (Fabrizio is cool too). I don't think we will be particularly successful with this song, I actually see this being ignored when the time comes, but honestly many of us don't care that much! Yet again we are doing something different that we hadn't done before, the song is beautifully written, Ermal and Fabrizio are two amazing artists, and I'm just so happy that yet again I can say "I'm just proud we're sending this!"...if we get a bad result the real reason I'll be sad is that these two don't deserve to be ignored..but well, let's see what happens!

I've met Fabrizio in one of his signing session and he was so kind, in an interview he said that this is one of the song he likes to sing the most. As an Italian mothertongue speaker, I don't like our entry that much because of how the words are combined, some sentences look quite banale but of course I'm Italian so it's normal that I have this attitude towards the lyrics.. this is also my favourite song this year. I lost track of how many times I listened to it but never fails to get me emotional.
Italy has had solid enties with a strong message for the third year running. The two previous ones, I felt, were let down in the live show, with staging that looked like it belonged on a childrens channel. This years entry is powerful, but for me it took a few listens to get a hang of it. Very pleased this song is in the competition. They will need to come up with some simple yet informative staging for this one to get the message through. Good luck!

Honestly, for me, this song is good when you watch the music video with English subtitles. But because I can barely understand Italian, when I watched in the national selection, my first impression was I felt complaints then anger and chaos with nice break down. Talking about the song, the melody is good, vocals are okay. Well, I hope the general audiences can get messages from the live performance. Hope it does well in the final.
In a recent interview, the singers stated that they won’t translate the song for Eurovision. That won’t probably make things easier, but it would a smart move if they will show the content of the video with Euro-subtitles

I think a top 10 finish is realistic for this song. Personally I hope they make top 5. In terms of a song with a message, this song is ten times better than the French entry even though people seem to love that and aren't bothered about this one. I've loved most of Italy's entries since their return to the contest to be honest- except that one with the wailing guy on the piano that somehow placed 2nd.
