I remember a movie that came out in 1986 or 1987, I don't recall the title, but it was about a 10 year old kid who went into a coma for 8 years in the late 70's, and when he came to, unaware of what year it was, he asked somebody, "Why isn't Starsky & Hutch on?" To such the nurse replied, "That show's been cancelled for years."

Back when this show was at it's peak was when David Soul has his only hit Don't Give Up On Us. One evening after the song finished playing on the radio, the DJ said, " That was David Soul, from Husky & Starch."

David had more than one hit song. Silver Lady was number 1 in UK. Also, he had other songs in the chats. He also toured successfully. Had sellout shows. He was the biggest selling artist in the UK in 1978. So you see, he was not a one hit wonder!!

Married 5 times and had 6 kids and did not have to serve in the military either. Then became a British Citizen and managed to smoke himself to death at the age of 80 from COPD. He did have an ok voice. Who am I to criticize him. I was just never a Starsky and Hutch fan and I am 3 years younger than David Soul when he died a few days ago.
