I'm in Canada. I watched Starsky and Hutch though I was not a child at the time. I read about his wife's tragic death, and the foundation he set up in her name. Happy Birthday, and may you have many more.
His wife really was such an amazing person, despite being sick and losing her daughter she did so much for the victims and families of those affected by the disease. Her legacy also continues on with the Elizabeth Glaser pediatric AIDS foundation as well as her son who has taken up her fight.
Paul Michael is a excellent artist and a wonderful actor. He has gad loss but a great blend with David soul. I know he was done with starsky and hutch, and soul wouldn't do it without him. Just a fantastic person.
I recall David Soul saying he hated doing "Starsky and Hutch" the entire time, but I never knew how Paul Glaser felt about it. Glaser is skilled in both comedy and drama, and has made a great contribution to the entertainment field.

Any Starsky and Hutch fan knows that Paul lost his wife and daughter due to a blood transfusion that had the HIV infection in it. My heart broke for him, but was so glad to know that Jake remains healthy despite the HIV that he also carries. I did not know that Paul remarried, but as long as he is happy, that is fantastic. It sucks that he lost his best friend last week, Hutch will always be my favorite tv hunk.
I really wish they wouldn’t do another remake with women….let’s be honest all us teenager girls watched it also because Starsky and Hutch were cute and the guys watched because the cool car and chase scenes…..they don’t need to ruin it by remaking it…do a remake of Cagney and Lacy….

Also true to the series Starsky & Hutch never got married or had any children, so this so-called remake with females doesn't cut it. Plus, the fact that what Paul & David brought to the screen and real life with is real love, friendship caring & chemistry that can never be duplicated or replaced. So whoever wants to do this remake with females need to make them Cagney & Lacey. If whoever wants to do a remake, they need to let Paul & David direct, write & produce it or leave it alone where it ended. The 2004 movie was a flop even the creator didn't like it & David didn't didn't like it. Nor do us real fans like it & we won't won't watch this remake.
