David made that "it's a love story..." comment several times, in print as well as live; there was no doubt he believed every word. And it was so true! The wonderful thing is seeing how much they still love each other today. We all should be so fortunate to have a relationship like theirs!
Yes there were the best cop show ever with the most gorgeous men and best chemistry ❤️❤️love went he said Pual and him are very close Awww best buddies in real life 4-ever, love it thanks 4 sharing💜
I didn't like how they portrayed black men on the show. They showed them as lazy and uneducated and stupid. Look at Kamala Harris and how far America has come. She just won Ohio, Florida and Kentucky.
It's funny, given what we see depicted on television and in film these days, that some critics in the 1970s actually considered Starsky & Hutch to be too violent!! 😄
I never felt the show was violent nor do I now. The love between them was awesome & we need more of it now a days. I would never watch the 2004 movie as those other 2 will never be Starsky & Hutch!! David is right those tabloids are BS!
Surprised at his loss of words, appearing nonplussed...in interviews of recent, he always seems witty and relaxed; might just be the result of life experience, etc.
I thought the VCR tracking was making me nostalgic. But, it is more likely that If I am watching something old enough for tracking to be a thing, then it is probably free of most modern day woke/pc crap. There is a reason that the number one selling artist of 1977 is Mr David Soul.
Quelles bêtises peut raconter la presse ! C'est bien que David Soul remette les pendules à l'heure, et s'énerve contre tous ces mensonges, pour rétablir la vérité sur son rôle dans la série et sur leur relation entre Paul et lui !
It was Bi-Shi- because the show was a hit and not all the crap that people wrote cause they were suppose to be good friends don’t really know but it was a good show for the seventies. But now Starsky & Hutch would not work in the twentieth first century . No freaking way besides those guys are to old now .
❤😢🙏🏻💫 David Soul 2024... Forever!
I loved this era
It's awesome when he says that "Starsky & Hutch", in his opinion, is the "love story between 2 men". It called for a lot of guts to say that in 1977.
Yes. The fact that it was not an easy thing for David to say on television in 1977 just shows that he really meant it. It came from the heart.
@@gary903indeed, he seemed an honest, warm and down to Earth guy.
That's why I like him so much because he's one of the most realistic honest actors I've ever seen

Absolutely. They were true friends. Such a beautiful friendship that lasted for 50 years ❤
What a good looking man David Soul was, wish I had married him ❤
Well then you shouldn't have cheated on him with Starsky. Serves you right!
@trhansen3244 Lol, wasn't me, not guilty
David Soul was some looker, stunning! He was brilliant in Starsky and Hutch and Paul Michael Glaser.
Great interview. I have it recorded on an audio cassette. As i am from France a long time ago a friend had sent it to me so i could hear it.

Love how he started out as the "covered Man" singer on Merv's show and wound up with an amazing career.
Great interview, loved them both in the show in my teens and watch it still
Their is more violence on all shows today, the show was great and real and they were fabulous 👌👌

I seen that when it was new, I was in the 7th grade and a Starsky&Hutch nut…. Besides Baretta.
It was and still a great show
My first action hero in the early 70s. Lee Major's too.
Thanks for posting this!
Thank you.

Thank you Moira for sharing it

I think he's just play-acting as well as being irritated
He was actually quite shy and uncomfortable with interviewers in the early days.
So pleased he debunked the rubbish about them in a feud and how they hate each other. Magazines haven't changed!
❤❤❤❤

What do mean selling artist? Selling what?
His hit single don't give up on us was a smash that year @@hermanhale9258

Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec toi. Il savait remettre les journalistes à leur place et il avait entièrement raison, puissance mille 🤗
Tout à fait d'accord. Tout ces magazines qui racontaient n'importe quoi juste pour vendre.
Starsky and hutch was good ,not knocking them but us brits had bodie and doyle and prior to that the sweeney proper tv😂
Why is he sitting so close to him..?
Because he liked him a lot! Who wouldn't!
I noticed that too.
