This was great. Thank for you the detail in your video. Good to see some first generation Honda Pilot love. I didn't notice how you got the reverse signal to the camera, if you didn't use the backup light. I ended up using the reverse light to turn on the camera, and a capacitor to regulate the voltage.
Same problem with a red light on the dash indicating that the rear hatch is not close. I connected the ground wire to the orange wire to the rear hatch lighting. Can you please tell me which bolt on the rear hatch you ended up using as ground for the back-up camera? Thanks
(1)What gauge of wire you used to go from the back of headliner to the front of car to bring the back up camera wire?(2)is it between the headliner and top of Pilot? (3) which part (left or right or middle) of headliner you ran the wire from back to front? I’m having a problem doing this as wire kept stopping from early on and not going forward to the front. How did you do it? Thnx
I used a piece of fiberglass fish tape which is very sturdy - wire would not be stiff enough. The path I took was center rear pointing at the driver side rear corner of the sunroof. Your struggling due to not using a fishing tape though.
@@MurphysLawGarage Thanks. I am going to buy a 50ft fisihing tape from harbor freight and give it another shot. which gauge of fishing tape did you use? Does your androif head unit have steering control wire? mine has two steering control wires, not sure how to connect to my 2005 honda pilot ex-l. Thanks again
No, I’m sorry I don’t, though the PN’s are visible in the video mostly I would still call Crutchfield like we did and let them help you pick the right parts. It’s important because your year/configuration can change what you need.
Did you leave the stock subwoofer disconnected And eliminated it altogether? If you did connect it how did you do it without an amp. I’m going to do this next month. Any help appreciated

I used the backup light + and then chassis ground.
With the adapter, were you able to still have the factory subwoofer functioning?
Yes, everything functioned like OEM.
@@MurphysLawGarage awesome sauce. thanks
Diesel swap should be next.
Mmm, kubota 3cyl swap!
Thank you for this detailed video! God bless!
No problemo!

Any bolt nearby - I don’t remember the specific one. You just need a body ground.
Real talk though. Helpful video. Thanks. LOL
You’re welcome

Alllll the rugrats 😂 cool video 🎉
Yep
"8:51" - That's what she said.
😂
Do you have a link for the parts you used?

How much do you charge for a job like this?. On the same exact vehicle. 2008 pilot.
~$350 would be reasonable I think

All speakers were left alone, the adapter harness mates the needed connections.
Can you link what stereo you used to replace old one?
Not in production anymore, but crutchfield can help you pick one
Thank u 🙏🏾

What crux adapter is it?
