- Medivh is a powerful ranged Specialist who wields arcane powers to manipulate the battlefield to the benefit of his team-and to the detriment of his enemies. This really seems like one of those heroes that will be horrendously OP in the right hands.
Or just against new players that will stupidly chase the raven or group up too much. :3
I have had teammates that.. purposely spread the Poly Bomb... So annoying.
I've never seen anyone chase the raven LOL
As a good mediv player i can tell you that he isn't op,but in the right hands he can be incredibly useful for the allies and very annoying for the enemies...

This trailer made me play the WC3 campaign again.
Too bad you couldn't control Medvih in WC3 game.

I didn't know that trolls in WC-verse regenerated. Is this "new" in WoW?
WoW trolls used to have a trait that increased health regen and kept some going in combat idk if it's still a thing. But it's from the established lore.

Tack I rewatched it and it looked like the scene is in Nagrand, and it doesn't look like Medivh so maybe not. Still an awesome easter egg.
Aw man, that Warcraft 3 music. So much nostalgia right now... So happy they got the original Medivh voice actor for him, too (still salty about Anub'arak not being Steve Blum, but at least Rexxar is).
At least its not the Anub'arak voice they went for in hearthstone yikes.

Fairly certain Steve Blum wasn't the original Rexxar or Anub'arak, but he'd be a fitting voice for Anub'arak.
Anub'arak's played by the same actor in WotLK, Hearthstone and Heroes.

I love that they brought back Michel Bell for his voice. Cam Clarke is good, but Michael's voice always fit Medivh's character better.

Oh, NICE! You got Michael Bell to return as the voice. I met him in Seattle last year; one of the all-time best voice actors.

Too bad they couldn't get him for Hearthstone.
While many of you will fondly remember Michael Bell for his work as Medivh, I'll always see him as the Reaper of Souls, Raziel.

The Case for a Surrender Button
1) Even if two teams have roughly the same MMR, there are factors that come into play that can affects a player’s MMR at the time. Several things can help determine one’s performance in a highly competitive environment:
a) Lack of nutrients
b) Adversely under the influence of substances
c) Emotional issues
d) Connection and hardware issues
e) Fatigue
f) Health issues
g) Psychiatric disorders causing one to troll
h) Apathy
i) And others
2) Players can determine other player’s MMR at the time through their personal judgement. Unlike children movies, where the good guys tend to win, sometimes there is no hope. And players know it. In Starcraft II and Hearthstone, players are allowed to leave matches if they judge the match to be unwinnable. Heroes of the Storm player’s judgement should also be respected by giving them the option to surrender.
3) The absence of a surrender button allows the following manifestations:
a) Player lose their limited time that can be spent on a match of higher quality or an activity that is in enjoyable. This is in addition to the time lost that is spent on gaining ladder experience points by obtaining well deserved wins; this type of time lost is unavoidable even with a surrender button. Nonetheless, it is noteworthy to mention this type of time lost.
b) You get penalized for your good judgement and your unwillingness to commit to fruitless endeavors by leaving the match.
c) Being pressured to ‘play’ a match or participate in an activity against one’s choice does not encourage civil behavior. It probably does the opposite - it increases the likelihood of salty behavior.
We got 2 Warcraft in a row. It would make sense if the next one is a SC or Diablo. Still waiting for Imperius, Malthael and Alarak. So, maybe later. And by the way, Kel'thuzard is way more important and cooler than Zul'jin. We also had enough assassin for now.

I like how they change the old specialist symbol just for the release of Medivh, so specialists aren't always considered to be only good at pushing. THEN they show the old symbol in his Spotlight video.
A fairly interesting hero; not a lot of damage potential, but insane utility. I feel like he's gonna quickly become a favorite x)

Instead of commenting about a hero I want in the future, I'm actually commenting to let you know how awesome this one is. I play this game way more than League now and I was kinda disappointed by the lack of utility champs. This guy made me so happy when I saw his kit. Thanks for this :)

I love the specialist classification, since he doesn't seem build for pushing, but would see play as a dps. He seems almost like a support, if that didn't mean "healer."

I mean, he does look good and very hard to use. Kind of like a very specialized support. The guy that sets up the plays, not the one that makes it. But not necesarily very OP. It may even be very weak.

I was originally going to talk about how Medivh should probably be classified as a support (if support had to be healers, then it would be called the healer class).
But after scrolling through the comments, I'm just glad that others are waiting for my favourite lich to join the Nexus.

How? Portal is close range. Abathur can see the raven in the minimap which can give him time to dodge the owls
Dude, he can use D, not get hit, scout for Abathur, and Tyrande can Sentinel
Abathur is doing like 10,000 things at the same time, he can't just keep running away all the time

anything that isn't warcraft related would be awesome lol.... I have played wow since launch and I have played the warcraft games too as well so don't get me wrong that I do not like warcraft stuff I'm quit fond of warcraft..... but heros of the storm is getting to a point where it should just be renamed heros of warcraft not to mention the warcraft map they recently added.... I like the map but at the same time I was really disappointed they did not come out with a starcraft map in celebration of legacy of the void release considering it is the last SC game they would make at least for some time
I love his music theme. it sounds like a variation of the motif that played when we first see him arriving in the Human's cinematic in WC3.

Medivh is already a legend.. and one of the strongest characters in the Warcraft Universe
Khadgar is stronger. Khadgar managed to kill his master Medivh, and help lead against the Burning Legend.

At the end of 2016, as they said last BlizzCon.
They decided they wanted to move in a different direction with it. Instead of making it all objective based with mini versions of map objectives, they want it to be more like tavern brawl in Hearthstone, or at least more whacky and not just straightforward objectives. So there really is no good guess as to when it's coming out.
All i want is Warcraft RTS game with this engine, that would be beyond awesome!

He was supposed to be, but they decided to push him into specialist since he doesn't heal. People were asking to put Tassadar into the Specialist category for quite a long time.
The game usually tries to match up teams of at least 1 warrior and 1 support, the party without a dedicated heal arguably performs worse on average. Imo it's a good move to put him into the specialist category.
He doesn't directly heal or give shields, so his role is a bit unclear. That's why Specialist exists

people are too stupid not to spread living bombs around so i can already see how some lemmings are going to polymorph entire teams.
This one will prob be a bit harder to spread tho since there will be a big giant circle around your ally vs the little animation of fire that is only visible on your ally, but im sure there will still be some fools not paying attention lol.
Not what I was expecting at all for Medivh, (I expected a killer assassin,) but this sounds really cool. I'm looking forward to getting to try his abilities out once he hits the Nexus.

Joshua Colpron Yep there should definetly be some Troll and Draenei ( even though i dont care for Draenei i think that every race should be represented). But i dont think we can hope for another Undeads since we have Sylvanas and Stitches.
