- Power overwhelming sometimes comes in small packages! Introducing Probius, the newest ranged Specialist to join Heroes of the Storm. In this video we’ll show off some of his explosive abilities and share some gameplay tips to help you make the most of Probius, the Curious Probe, as soon as he warps into the Nexus!

He should have additional passive. When attacked... all allies receive alert:
"Your Probes Are Under Attack!"
That would be hilarious!!!

And then Alarak would just say something mean like: "Me, fighting alongside a Templar building instrument...the jokes this realm provides become more desperate"
Or Raynor saying "What is this little boombox thingy?" *beep* "My God it even sings"
Yeah :D Or conversely something like: "Hey there lil' buddy. My Protoss friends always told me how reliable you guys are."
And Probius would say: Bood beep woop: meaning: "I appreciate your kindness Terran, but please don't address me in such diminutive tone, I have lived centuries more than you."

I like this idea. There's honestly quite a few possible skins for Probius. Sadly, we will probably not see them for many months.
Eye of Killrog skin could make a little more sense, you could have tentaclethingies as turrets or floating skulls or something :)

@@Broockle Dehaka is missing an arm in his default form, and you can see his severed and still bleeding in Heart of the Swarm, the game he came from.
Chromie is going to have a LOT of fun with the slows Probius provides.
They will make a good team! Slows+Visions+Zoning Turrets will allow her to stay safe while sniping. Also Temporal Loop into DP+Multiple Warp Rifts+Dragon Breath+Standblast...

The Heroes of the Storm pays more attention to all blizzard communities than the others with theirs. XD
thats why they're the best team Blizz has atm imo :D
Actually I think overwatch has the best dev team. but HOTS is good too. :) subjective of course.
Overwatch team is great, but i think they just don't have enough experience and energy
People complain about too many Warcraft heroes, but when it comes to adding good characters from Starcraft these days Blizzard has to go: "Remember that one probe from the cutscene?"
He's part of the gameplay lore far more than the lore lore.
Cannon rush is one of the oldest cheese in the books, almost as infamous as the Zergling Rush. Anyone who has played Starcraft multiplayer will immediately go "Oh yeah, canon rush!" when they see this hero.
Plucking him from the cinematic is really only there to give him context in the lore. Outside of that, everything about him gameplay wise is full of references that players WILL get.

I can't see them ever putting bastion in. He's too mechanically similar to srgt Hammer. Move around with low damage then drop anchor for massive damage.
LiquidEnigmaGaming Similar... but blizzard may change him a bit. For example. Let the Sentry mode act as Li Ming's beam but with shorter range.

I highly doubt they'll change any Overwatch character they add in. If you've noticed, all Overwatch characters that have been added all retain abilities they use in Overwatch itself.
It literally makes them the easiest ports as they only thing they have to worry about is damage numbers and model porting. Everything else is already there.
NO, we will get a common imp from Diablo, and Punch Kid as heroes.
Model porting? I'm pretty sure they remake the models for HoTS

It's not about the importance of the character, its about what that character brings to the game.
Matt Horner is just a dude. Whats he gonna do? Call in the Hyperion? Raynor already does that.
As for Stukov, he would be a great addition but Probius is a really interesting character kit-wise and as much as I like Stukov, they already have characters that would work in a similar way to how Stukov would theoretically work. I'm sure he'll show up eventually but can't we just be happy about this?
At least its not a Warcraft character or an assassin.

Wait, is Probius a real character in SC2?
Not ingame, but he is the probe from the LotV trailer that warped in that one crucial pylon.
Yes, he saved Aiur in the LotV cinematic, but remained unnamed until now.

Sort of. They are conning him as the Probe featured in the Sc2 trailer who was part of the Akhundelar.
Probes are the workers for the protoss, no real character is based on them.
After initially disappointed about the reveal of a Protoss Probe, I'm now excited about Probius and plan to buy it and test it in PTR. It's not a big name hero, but at least it's unique and quite different than other heroes from the Nexus, even Gaz.
Judging how Artanis keeps promoting everyone, I wouldn't be surprise if Probious is now a Templar

Ok in all honestly he seems far more unique and interesting than the last couple of heroes; maybe not Rag trait. The fact he has a mana bar based on pylons, the fact warp rift needs to be detonated with a Q pulse and just the added little things truly make this an interesting hero. This is why I play the game over others
I love how there is so much potencial for his skins.

There do not seem to be many Starcraft players here. The most important question: Do the Photon Cannons have detection?
One of his questing talents gives them detection when you complete it.

So cool, please keep these specialists coming, these are without a doubt the best in this game and often are really fun to play.
Then there will be a SCV, Drone, Peasant, Peon, Wisp, and a Acolyte unite.

Most excited I've been for a hero in a long while, and it's for a little protoss probe of all things. Looks like an even more fun Gazlowe-ish playstyle, and considering Gazlower's one of my all-time favorite HotS heroes... yeah. I haven't bought a new hero on day 1 in a long time but this guy's going to change that.

So, he/it(?) was that Probe. Thing is, you only see Kaldalis having survived slightly before the Pylon has warped in... Speaking of Kaldalis, I hope he didn't die and wasn't controlled by Amon... Also hope he gets added as a Hero; that Reclamation video got me right in the feels... Fenix too

I was wasn't too keen on playing him when he came out, but a few months ago I gave him a try and he quickly became my favorite character!
I can't wait to try this little guy out.

i've been wishing so long for an "un-sung hero" like probe or SCV and looks like they brought him in the right way, way to go Blizz i love this, still hoping for an SCV one day and maybe a zergling or like 3-5 zerglings as a single moving unit

Gazlowe is also becoming a better Gazlowe. They are reworking him!
Probius will be about ranged damage and burst, where Gazlowe will be more about attack dmg and sustain dmg.
Well, they are making him better in every way. Deth Lazor can be channeled at any time, turret targeting baseline, xplodium range increased, and his robo-goblin is now a combination of sprint/stoneskin/+100% attack damage (his former lv.20 upgrade). Doubt those are all the changes, but we'll see.

There better be a talent called "Pylo the Pylon" with the talent having some sort of affect with having no pylons or them dying. FOR PYLO!

SS S that's his level 20 talent for his first ult. let's him.... construct additional pylon.......
The ultimate that makes the Pylons shoot gives you also 1 extra Pylon. So you can build up to 3 with that one, if I remember correctly.
Yeh, they said you can construct two untalented, implying that you can probably talent to add an additional pylon.

you have to wait for level 20 to construct the additional pylon, assuming you picked that route. no additional pylons if you pick null gate.

I just had the dream that after the next hero therewill be released the Lei Shen as the new one and his R will be called Throne of Thunder. It had a simillar effect like Karthus R in LoL ( after short delay, deal dmg to all enemy champions ). Was a nice dream, but i hope that Blizzard will make a lot more interesting heroes with funny taunts like Probius, leaving like. Keep going Blizz :*
Lei Shen isnt doubtful to come into HotS one day, considering he was the end boss of a whole patch.

Considering how the WC3 Blademaster's moves were pretty much entirely transferred to Samuro, I wonder if the same could be said for the WC3 Lich in regards to Kel'thuzad?
I want him to be a mage and I think that they will keep his Frost Nova and Ult the same. However if they keep his other 2 skills then he would rather be a specialist/support/utility than a range assasin mage, kinda like Mediv and Tassadar.
Yeah, and I'm actually glad. Warcraft had a little spree going on for a while there, those five heroes in a row. Could do with a breather from warcraft for a little longer, I'm sure many would agree.

Nah, he'd have an ability to buff one of the heroes into insane levels, whilst nerfing another into oblivion. Also, an ultimate laugh that oneshots everyone.

tassadars walls are lower cooldown, if they gave the ability more usability they would have to increase the cooldown and mana cost.

I don't get it.
In portal there is a specific malfunctioning personality orb called the space orb, which, basically constantly goes on about space, mostly just saying space though. Pardon my terminology likely being off, I am not a portal player, just someone that gets the reference.

it was in the ending scene of portal 2, where that core was flying around in space and enjoying every second of it it screamed "SPAAAAAAACEEEE".
I like how at the end 4:32, they say to use null gate to control the enemy teams movement. Null gate is placed at an angle, to the side. Enemy team changes direction to walk through it.
Because they're trying to escape Rag's Heroic that goes down the entire lane, which is what Gul'Dan successfully did
