Any info on that plane crash??? I'm LOVING these videos. I'm working on my commercial license, fixed-wing. Wondering if I made the right decision or if I should've gone rotary!! HAHA
Man those rocks looked awfully close !! I was pulling my elbows in tight while watching :-) What a fantastic flight. Thanks for posting... I loved this. ...
Awesome video. Thanks so much. How do you judge rotor span? Do you have a visual cue, like a spot on the windscreen or somewhere else on the helicopter that you refer to when judging how close you are to the cliff face?
Wow looks like flying on top of the world! Amazing scenery. Very jealous, only fly over flat boring long island, no canyons, mountains, valleys, stream landings nothing, except for flights around manhattan, nothing here. good luck with lessons
Not completely certain myself, but I would assume Mischa is looking at R/RPM when the power setting gets to 100% to detect a drop in R/RPM which would be an indication of overpitching. I just put the BCH Mountain Course on my To-Do List once I get my commercial rating, no more doubt about that after watching this video!! Thanks, you guys!
When at max power (100%) during hover the pilot must watch the rotor RPM. If the rotor rpm decreases (droops) that indicates the helicopter does not have enough power to sustain the hover and will begin to loose altitude and could even crash. The pilot has to get the helicopter moving (increases lift) and probably decrease pitch immediately. Which is why Misha leaves an "escape" route when testing for power. None pilot speaking here, but I am pretty sure that sums it up.
Man you’re making BC look to good! We already got to many tourists lol
That would be TOO and TOO
The day after I win the lotto..I'm headed to B.C. to start my lessons..

It really is hard to imagine all the fun you guys have out there. Fantastic video of mountain work and practice...
It's so amazing to look at it from the video screen itself. I wonder how much fun you people had watching everything in real.
Incredible flight and views. Helicopters paradise, sailplanes and hang gliders playground.
Mischa...un muy bonito vuelo hoy
....felicidades...!¡..😊🤗
Wow! Even in So Cal, our mountains don't have the variety unless we get much farther north. I am envious.
The footage is amazing and I love seeing you train new pilots. Its inspiring.
Awesome video. Thanks so much.

What is rotor droop?
