Great content, you rep what real heli pilots should more be like. My father flew helicopters for 14 000hrs and fixed 7 000hrs. Transport Canada for 50 odd years it takes certain character like him to do so well, you have that character sir.
Mischa....as cool as a cucumber. Well done Sam, you're a natural for sure, I am amazed how much you have mastered this in such a short time, it looks difficult even though you probably have the best instructor there is.
Again a great pleasure to watch! On a side note - not trying to be a smart-a.. - I noticed that in some of the turns such as the circuits, the aircraft appears to be skidding with the trim string pointing towards the center of the turn. Learned to look for such cues when analyzing my own flight training cockpit videos.
During the power off on takeoff exercise, is the drift caused by cyclic inputs (over correct/under correct) ? The movements are so subtle - it’s hard to see what’s happening... is the cyclic that sensitive to control imputes?
I love your videos. I wonder about all the places you go down or land, are private property? How do you choose these places? Do you have permission? Do you receive complaints? Cheers.
Hello. I have one question about vertical take off you performed in this video. When you are in vertical take of before getting airspeed, you are in grey zone of V/H diagram. How to safely manage power quit and autorotation in this situation? Thank you :)
BC is super nice, except for all that snow and cold weather. I live in the southwest (New Mexico). I hope you land a great job. I really enjoy watching you learn to fly..you’ve got a great instructor too. Thanks for the videos and best wishes.
So weird, it’s about six inches to the right of the trim string throughout the whole video. I’ve watched pretty much every video Mischa has made in the G2 and I’ve never noticed it before. Nice work flying by the way. 👌🏽
Outstanding instructions...very talented student. Rare to see such positive progress in helo's.

R Mac thank you!!
Awesome, Sam you're doing great! I can't wait to start my training...

Tom Wolf yeah I have really noticed a lot of mistakes watching the videos back, definitely a powerful resource to debrief.
Good teacher !
Excellent video. 👍👍

Thanks fellas! You’re doing great Sam. Just curious if Sam will be working in Canada or US.
Gee Dubb likely the US, but I’m starting to really like BC....

I see a new opaque strip on the windscreen in front of Sam, are you using it as a reference for a maneuver?
flightmech77 it's just a reflection. Unless you are referring to the trim string?

It's a reflection. It disappears at 11:04. I wonder if it's the bright white edge of Sam's shoe reflecting?
Nah, not his shoe. It's something else reflecting.
I see what it is now, it’s the white part of the top of the iPad in the mount reflecting. 👍🏼
Slapped :)
...👍👍👍👍👍👌
