  • I never wanted to relocate to Zimbabwe it was something that I thought of or planned certainly not before we had bought a house in the UK at least!. Relocating back to our home countries as people who are in the diaspora can be a challenge. In this video i share how I overcame this challenge.
    Hello 👋🏿 thank you for stopping by and taking the time to watch our video.
    About Us:
    We are the Tandi’s and this is our channel documenting our journey back home to Zimbabwe. We have lived in the UK for over 20 years. In a bid to prepare for our relocation journey back to Zimbabwe we are building our homestead in rural Zimbabwe.
    Our goal is to have a sustainable and self-sufficient homestead that is offgrid. We are going to install a borehole, solar for electricity and everything else.
    We are creating a safe space on our channel to build a community of like minded people who have the desire to relocate back to their home country. In this space we can share ideas, stories and expertise with each other.
    Expect a 1 video from us every Friday and if we post an extra video that week then it’s a bonus!
    So subscribe , comment , share and like 👍🏿 our video.

    I believe that there are so many opportunities back home and you can always make good money in Zim. Been living here i diaspora for over 27 years and I started my journey to relocate back home in 2022 and I am enjoying it:)

      I believe this also and it’s good that as people in the diaspora we are sharing ideas as a collective. Your win is my win and my win is yours those are the principles of Ubuntu. Please share your journey with us I’m looking to speak to Diaspora’s who have made the leap and get their advice, tips and what they have learned. If this is something you would interested you please let me know.

      Absolutely, I am more than willing to do so and I have just started a youtube channel called Mkanyamixedfarming Where I will be sharing my entire journey. The only problem is that I am new on youtube and I am not yet familiar everything around youtube. However, I am doing my best for a beginner:) Keep up the good work

    I resonated most with the part where you spoke about seeing yourselves purchasing a house in the diaspora despite having prioritized building in zim first and also having lived in the diaspora for over 20 years .
    While the general thinking is probably that after being overseas for that long,one should have had at least purchased a home where they are , I’ve recently started appreciating that everyone’s story and paths all differ, there’s definitely lots of societal pressure however one should always do what makes sense for them and their family so Kudos to you for embracing your circumstances and the path you’re on🎉 Thanks for the transparency and the much needed reality check

      You are welcome and thank you for sharing your experience and you are right it comes down to what you need to prioritise first. I’m glad Zuruvi stuck to his plan instead of me feeling like a lost out I actually gained a lot more and as a couple we grew even more stronger.

    Been following since day 1. Always inspired. We have been in Kings land for a year now, and as u wr saying about discussing and being on the same page rings so true, we discussed wen we came that at one point we need to return back home and stay there so as soon as we settled here we started building slowly back home and it's been amazing. So just know that u are not only inspiring people who have been in the diaspora for a long time, but also the new wave of immigrants. Pamberi nekuvaka

    Thanks Mai Zuruvi been a follower in the terraces, my problem and i think with most people is what we are going to do back in Zim that will sustain us as much or as comfortable as it is here in the UK, tinotya kuno broker kkk would you mind sharing with us not really the exact details of how you planned your financial stability and provisions that will sustain you in Zim, but ideas on the time frame it lasted you to trust kuti if we go back home this is what will support your family, the projects you saw are now bringing cash in zim and also the time it took you to save to building your dream house and be left with enough moeny to relocate

    • @TheTandisLivingtheGoodLife
      @TheTandisLivingtheGoodLife  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I fully 💯 understand what you mean and I guess it comes to down to your personal reasons as to why you are going home and how relocating looks to you for example I know people who come to the UK and work for a few months and go back home. Starting businesses and side hustling is definitely not for everyone. So we will talk about this because when I went home I so some possible ventures for people who wish to do something to make an income so that vasazo broker 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Thank you for coming down the terraces.
