Imagine physically holding a husband down from building and choosing our homeland as home. I love the answers and I will definitely use them because my response has always been to ignore and not respond.
Ignoring sometimes is also a good strategy to avoid getting caught up in a back and forth with people who don’t want to hear anyone talking about relocating back home.
Very nice video. I can definitely relate to what you are saying. We are relocating to Africa too and we are having so much negativity from family members, it's unbelievable. We just ignore them and keep making our plans. I think sometimes, people are so brainwashed by the media that they cannot see things clearly and they make up such silly conclusions about Africa in general no matter which of the 52 countries we pick to go back and live in. I keep telling them that moving to an Africa country means freedom, better living, organic food, a mortgage-free life, and better health. I hope they will understand one day. Keep doing your thing.
It is disappointing when the biggest critics are your family members or close friends. All the things you have mentioned the organic food, better health, mortgage free life etc are THE GOOD LIFE for us. I wish you all the best with your relocation journey let’s us keep doing our thing.
The truth in this! The sad thing is that most people think that being in the diaspora one is "immune to dying", yes, services are there but even in the diaspora people are dying.
The country’s that we live in are good are PR they will never parade their challenges in public so some people are none the wiser until they come to diaspora and see that their streets are not paved with gold. I never thought a white person could be homeless sleeping in the streets and eating out of the bin until I saw it with my own eyes in Great Britain on the streets of London. It shocked me.
It's unbelievable how our own people discourage each other to go back home shuwa. It's so disheartening one says to you, you gonna regret this move then I'm thinking surely in this country where there's no lyfe it's just a sad sad country full of misery bedzi bedzi. I wish our people could just stop this issue of discouraging others please. There is lyfe outside England veduwe. Some will declare handibude muno then I'm thinking haaaa saka kutoda kuendeswa ku home dzemuno without one enjoying their life. Ummmmm its a sad situation, well done to you mai Zuruvi for making such a good decision ndokufunga uku.🙏
Varikuda kugarira ma buy one get one free!! Zvino hakuchina buy one get 3:01 one free 😂😂😂. It's very sad because Zimbabwe has a lot to offer, there is life outside the UK. I think people are now comfortable living from hand to mouth vachimukuria ma shifts! Asi ukaona waita 20 years uchikakaritsana ne shift apa uchiramba kudzokera kumusha haaa pakaipa. People stop demoralising other people who are ready to leave The UK, let's learn to support eachother not to discourage others because iweiwe hauna plan!
There is life outside of these western countries. It’s good to respect each other’s decisions vanoda kugara muno vachizovigirwa muno it’s fine and isu vanoda kudzokera kumusha it’s fine too. Dambudziko riripo nderekutarisirana pasi nekushoropodzana it’s too much manhi.
The sad part for me is the fact that someone will discourage you from returning to your home country which is their own country too. I have accepted that some people including family are settled here and will never go back. But I don’t criticise them for their decision like some do for our decision to relocate back to Zimbabwe. We can’t all be the same but we can show each other respect ✊🏿.
@@TheTandisLivingtheGoodLife Yes 🙌🏾 and they go on to project their own fears by discouraging you. I remember being called so many names when I decided to go home after being in school abroad for 5 years. Ndainzi I’m foolish, who does that, what if they don’t allow you back but my mind was set and I knew that if God wanted me to come back he will grant me a visa to come back. I had already gotten a work permit by then but I really wanted to have that visa stamp on my passport, just to have that freedom to go home when I want to and that meant me leaving the country. If I listened to people and went against my strong intuition I wouldn’t be where I am today. I would still be stuck just because of fear.
Potse potse there will be some who will say she’s back because she was deported 🤣🤣 . I commend you for having the courage to do what you wanted, what felt right for you and what others who were in your position not doing. You are a good example of what an outlier is.
I love your insights throughout this video, Mai Ziruvi. As young as we may be, my husband and I are already working on our relocation plan to move back home. Thanks to you, we are finding your content motivating and very encouraging. Do not get discouraged, you are such an inspiration !😊😊😊😊
I've been in the uk for 2yrs but 1thing for sure people back home are living their best lives,go live your life dear,as of health care only God is in control, ive seen people die within a few months of being in the uk with all the free health care, all the best dear
I remember when I was doing my zim project…. Some comments I got were “ kutambisa mari plus urikudyirwa mari ne kuita zvinhu kwausingagare”. But it was all worth it… Zim is home and I no longer care what other people say about my relocation plan.
Yes that’s another statement they will say “ kuZimbabwe kwacho munoyenda kangani muchasvika mumba menyu mane muchenje” 🤣🤣🤣 the statements are so flabbergasting.
I have watched your journey so far , I’m inspired. I’m planning to go back as well. Cottage completed , main house at slab level. I’m motivated. I will get there God willing.
Much respect to you it’s no small task to build and you’re on house number 2 for that I commend you. Keep on pushing you will definitely get there. Join this community to keep your motivation up.
In the beginning it used to upset me but I learnt that it’s not about me it’s about how they are conflicted them so they start to project their own fears.
I absolutely loved it being home and could see myself doing business - spotted some ideas. But for me my health is a big one... it's needs constant monitoring. But chido chekuenda kumba chiripo! I'm jealous of you (also the Mr is not keen 😑, so I'm trying to convince him SA at least)
You have brought a fair point on one of the many reasons why relocation is not possible for some people. I would love to discuss this further if possible for our upcoming podcast. I totally understand if you are unable to do so you don’t even need to give me a reason. I just think it’s important for those who relocate to be empathetic to those who have the desire but may not be able to do it.

Thank you Gogo. I’m inspired by your journey. I’m hopeful that my children will be able to thrive on their own, when I see Mayfair I think my children will be okay when we relocate.
Do you know what that’s a true observation. Some of the people who say these things did leave their children and then when some of these children were reunited with the children they face a lot of challenges parenting them it’s really sad.
That is an interesting perspective you have there and this may be the case yekuti plan ndopasina and also thinking we are all so relived to have made it out of Zimbabwe to the point where we are not going back then you come across people who are actually planning to go back home. It can be very confusing for some people.

However bottles are a challenge. I hear they can be crushed and used in construction? Any one with such knowledge and how please help😢

When you hear people speaking like this it’s true you will think no one lives there at all. Like it’s barren place when it’s the opposite.
