Do you know if it's possible for a salvini cichlid to breed with a firemouth cichlid, because I have them in a 55 gallon aquarium by themselves, they get along great and they follow each other around everywhere? The salvini is a female, the firemouth is a male.
Great video Jason! I have 6 white clouds, but they seem to chase each other a LOT - especially during meal times and, actually, just generally. But maybe i need to give them more hiding spaces? Just wondering if you’ve experienced the crazy chasing. I do observe that your’s are much “thicker” than mine..maybe im not feeding enuf O_o They do hang around the corys to eat their wafers even after they are full, its a bit aggressive 🤔
@@PrimeTimeAquatics ok I will see if I can add a few more. I have 6 lambchop rasboras in quarantine, but i could prob add a few more minnows . I dont want to overcrowd, but there probably is still space (with 8 corys)? Thank you!!

I have a school of white cloud minnows and one of the fish keeps flaring and chasing the other fish, I’m a little worried. Is there something I can do? There are 6 in a 50 gallon, empty tank. I’m getting 8 more. Also the fish that’s keeps flaring seems like a male, I’ve tried sexing them and there seem to be 2 males to 4 females. It only seems like the smaller male that’s doing this, he also flares at his reflection. Is he trying to impress the females? All water parameters are good for them.
I was considering putting 6 in a 10 gallon. Would it be possible to get two of each standard, gold, and long fin? Will they school together fine, or do they need to be the same kind?
Hi I have a question not related to the video. I don't know who to ask. I transferred some blue mystery snails to an open top snake enclosure. All of them were on the snake.(red tail boa) are they harmful?

Hope you like them!
these are a great no hassle fish and shrimp safe .
Hey Jason! How many white clouds would you recommend for a species only 20 long? Thank you!
You could comfortably start with 12-15?
I had one in with Tetras and Endlers and it was very territorial, moved him on and my other fish are a lot happier now. It was kinda agressive.
Might have been because he was on his own. Glad things are working well now.
would 5 of these be ok for a shallow 5 gallon?
Informative video, thanks 👍
For a species only tank of minnows and Pygmy corys with plants, what temp?
Do you know if it's possible for a salvini cichlid to breed with a firemouth cichlid, because I have them in a 55 gallon aquarium by themselves, they get along great and they follow each other around everywhere? The salvini is a female, the firemouth is a male.
I don't think so?
I wish longfins had the gold gene!
I thought I've seen some long fin gold.
They do expect you need to breed gold to long fin breeding long fin gold to long fin gold is a lethal gene
Is that US gallons? Great video
Yes - thank you!
Thanks bud 🤜🏻🤛🏻
How often you feed them? I keep reading they can eat up to 3 times a day
I feed all my fish twice a day.
Beautiful
Awesome beautiful fish 😍
Great video Jason! I have 6 white clouds, but they seem to chase each other a LOT - especially during meal times and, actually, just generally. No harm is done, no ripped fins or anything, but mine just seem more aggressive than usual? I have them in a 22G long (36x12x12) with plants and a big piece of drift wood, so lots of space.
I might try adding another 6-8?
@@PrimeTimeAquatics ok I will see if I can add a few more. I have 6 lambchop rasboras in quarantine, but i could prob add a few more minnows . I dont want to overcrowd, but there probably is still space (with 8 corys)? Thank you!!
@@PrimeTimeAquatics have you ever done a video about how many fish to appropriately add to a tank and how? Like how much is considered overstocking? Thanks and keep up the great work! Really love your content! I want to buy a shirt 🤣
Will gold fish eat the eggs and or fry from wcmm's? Thanks
They will often eat the adults too when the goldfish get large enough.
I just checked again and it seems two males are flaring.
That can happen. They usually don't harm one another. Adding more more certainly help.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics ok thank you
I have 6 golden WCMMs and I wondering if I can put 2 normal WCMMs with the other 6?
Sure
I know axolotl aren't supposed to really have tank mates, but this is the highest recommended fish to put with them. What do you think.
I haven’t kept axolotls but I wonder if they would eat these guys?
How long does it take for wCMinnow eggs to hatch.... at what temperature do they hatch... ..
Thank you! I love mine and this was great info! 👍🏻
What size tank do I need for a pair of Viejas
I would go at least a 75 gallon.
Is it possible to take them with betta fish in same aquarium?
We did that combo without any issues.
I was considering putting 6 in a 10 gallon. Would it be possible to get two of each standard, gold, and long fin? Will they school together fine, or do they need to be the same kind?
They would probably do fine together and most likely swim together as if they were all the same variety.
Hi I have a question not related to the video. I don't know who to ask. I transferred some blue mystery snails to an open top snake enclosure. All of them were on the snake.(red tail boa) are they harmful?
My first guess is probably not, but I'm not sure.
Will tropical plants be ok at the lower temp of 71-75
Yep - they usually do just fine!
