Nice to hear you visited Nottingham. The lifts inside the bus station (going up to the car park) Usually only one is always turned off. nice to see they were all working when you were there. If you was about a month earlier then you would have been lucky and had a ride in the original otis in the Broadmarsh centre (Not the glass ones, one is tucked away round a corner and the other is an alternative to the escalators) These were modernised about a month ago. You also missed out on some other lifts in the Victoria Center which served the White Carpark, I believe these are generic now, although I have never used them (Just heard the voice as I past them).

I remember In Sydney and I was sleeping in elevator pits and once I forgot to turn the pit safe and inspection mode on and it started moving but at least their are emergency stops in the pits
This car park adjoins the Intu Broadmarsh shopping centre which is to undergo a redevelopment project hopefully starting next year. As part of this the car park will get a refurbishment and these lifts will get replaced. Sorry

Great stuff. The sleep in the pit idea is a good one. Great under tram footage. There appeared to be a WiFi access point on top of the glass lift.
The train sounds like a moog synthesizer that took ketamine.
Northern used to have some with this kind of VFD but when Arriva took over the franchise they replaced them with older units.
Next time you're in that area, visit Barnsley Market. There's an original old Evans lift waiting to be demolished soon.
