That Express motor kicks ass! It’s quite a substancial machine. A bit odd to see such a big motor beeing suspended instead of beeing on top of the frame. The HEA profile is even cast into the concete wall, it can only mean one thing: It’s a heavy weight champ on steriods.

I'm currently staying at this hotel. You got to see the most exciting parts!
Around 4 lifts are currently undergoing maintenance ("open lift shaft" warnings on the doors in front of them). Massive long queues of people waiting to use lifts.
Imagine opening the door to a lift and accidentally safety braking security.

I have done that. It only works sometimes. It is random if someone will know if you are meant to be there or not. But when you do get caught it can be much worse.

in other words someone cut the lift traction ropes. most of the time this happens, the people who do this try to release the safety brake and let the lift freefall until it crashes into the lift pit.
