Thank you so much! I was seaching for the website where I can buy the tickets in advance but was't sure which one is the official. Your information is so useful and helping always! Best travel guide for Egypt!
Best places to visit in Egypt and why - Luxor and aswan because it is clean , beutiful nile and nature , colurful houses , and friendly people - sharm el sheikh because it is Eco green , calm and it has beautiful coral reefs and an average weather
Hi Sonia, for most tourists, I don’t find these passes an economical option, but I plan on looking into them at some point for a video. For now, there are tons of changes happening with pricing and how to buy tickets, so I want to wait a bit until things stabilize.
On the website, can you buy the tickets for going inside of the Giza pyramids? It seems that only "Giza Plateau" is selectable online. Also, can you buy those tickets at the Sphinx gate or can you still only buy them at the main gate?
Hi Gus, thanks for the useful information sharing! Just curious if it's important about Nationality and contact number for those ticket? I mean are they checking your passport or nationality when you use tickets for checking-in? Because there is no our Nationality(Taiwan) on this website when checking out.
They don’t check your passport or anything like that, so you’ll be fine. Just make sure you buy a foreigner ticket at the more expensive (not the Egyptian) price.
Hi , have a group of 4 adults and 1 child , we are heading to sharm in april from uk , i keep reading that its cheaper to book things like excursions etc when you arrive in egypt , we all want to go to the pyramids and museum but have nothing booked , prices for 5 for a tour are up over 1000 uk pounds so out of our price range , is there a better deal if we wait until we land in egypt ?? Thankyou for all the helpful tips
If you want to go from Sharm el Sheikh to Cairo in order to see the Giza Pyramids and you're traveling in April, I suspect the tour would be around 1,000 UK Pounds for 5 people. Flights alone are over 126 UK Pounds each round trip, so at five people, that's 630+ UK Pounds for flights alone. Then you need to add in four airport transfers, the transfer out to the Pyramids and back, tickets to the sites, lunch, and the cost of the guide and driver, and gratuities for the guide and driver. So to me, 1,000 UK Pounds or slightly higher by flight for five people makes sense. You could try to book an excursion in-country, but then you are left with the companies, guides, and drivers who are not booked (and sometimes this can mean you are having someone who is sub-par). Often the best companies/guides/drivers are the ones who are booked in advance. Of course, sometimes there are cancellations, so great guides and drivers could be offering trips last minute. Best of luck! Let us know what you end up doing.
@EgyptAdventuresTravel thankyou for the tips , I will keep scouring the Internet and see if a more appealing offer shows itself or we land and see where the wind takes us 😂👍
@EgyptAdventuresTravel update , friend found a chap on Facebook who also has some trip advisor reviews mostly positive and we are now booked for the cairo/pyramids/museum for 180british pounds each , all flights, admissions included except for the mummy room in museum , I believe even lunch is included so very happy in the end , 20pounds each deposit and rest in cash when we get picked up from hotel , have an atm question for you now 😂...... if I use my British visa bank card in an atm I presume I will get egyptian pounds at a favourable exchange rate and this will be done automatically ? Thankyou in advance your videos have been a great help
I think it might only be available for certain monuments, like the GEM. If you do not see it as an option, then you will need to buy a foreigner ticket.
Each site will say the price for children toward the bottom of the area where you buy the ticket. Generally, very young kids (like 3-year-olds) are free, and students (like a 12-year-old) are half price, but you need to check for each site 👍🏼
Hi there! Unfortunately I don’t know the answer to this-can anyone else help? My recommendation is to bring the camera along and then if you’re asked not to use it, put it away and use your phone, or if there’s an extra fee you can pay it on the spot if you think it’s worth it. Sorry I can’t be more help!
Hi Gus. my wife and I are visiting Ciro and Alexandria next week. we only own AMEX, but no MC or VISA. Does this mean we wont be able to visit any of the sites you need tickets for since none of them take cash?
That’s correct-you’ll need to get ahold of a Visa or Mastercard credit card. Amex is not accepted on the online website nor the sites themselves. In fact, Amex is hardly accepted anywhere in Egypt at all. My advice: 1. Use a debit card (linked to a checking account in your home country) since those are always Visa or Mastercard 2. Buy one of those visa gift cards with the $ you need on it for all the tickets you want to buy and use it to buy tickets online in advance (I wouldn’t trust it at the sites themselves) 3. Have a friend or family member who has a Visa/Mastercard buy the tickets online for you and then you pay them back Best of luck!

How does it work for student cards? Do you still need to go to ticket office to show proof of student ID?
You’ll need to have your student ID on you at all times and may be asked to show it at any time.

I cannot see the option to buy the tickets as expatriate 😞 is it available for each monument?
I think it might only be available for certain monuments, like the GEM. If you do not see it as an option, then you will need to buy a foreigner ticket.
Does that include Debit cards? Also how about when you need to pay for photography for an extra fee?
Yes, any Visa or Mastercard will work. For things like photography, if the ticket does not appear online, you will need to buy it on site.

Great video, we want to purchase in advance but heard that the times differ in Ramadan, is the Gem still open and what time
I am not sure of the times during Ramadan -- I have not heard any updates, and I presume it's the normal hours, but can anyone confirm?
