    We have been Egypt since Sept and would agree with Gus. We haven't noticed anything different and have felt safe. Most of our Egyptian friends are worried tourists will stop coming as their livelihood relies on tourism. We can support them by not canceling our trips.

      I am very surprised by your comment. All countries of the world have beggars, even in developed countries such as America and France. Any society has good and evil, and good always triumphs. Logic does not judge a developed country like Italy for the presence of the mafia. Likewise, the state of Chicago in America is the most powerful country in the world. This state is ruled by it. Gangs, what do you think now? Make sure that Egypt is a completely safe country and its people are naturally friendly and welcoming to its guests. In addition, we have a professional police that secures tourists and provides them with a safe atmosphere to enjoy their visit.

      @@hashimelmasry2050 I've not been, but I've watched videos and most of them talk about scams and hustling and touts. By sheer logic no-one wants to be scammed out of their hard earn money, especially if they went on holiday to enjoy and relax and keep their loved ones safe. Please don't take it so personally.

    My buddy and I took a fully escorted 2 week tour of Egypt, Jordan, and Israel, just after the Arab Spring. There were hardly any tourists there. We had the entire country to ourselves. I highly agree that having a reputable tour company is the way to go. They have all the contacts, arrange the guides and drivers, and make sure that all facets of travel are taken care of. I found the Egyptians to be very friendly and hospitable. The ones engaged in the tourism industry are most interested in making money, not making political enemies. In addition to the references you provided on the US State Department, I have heard that both the Australian and British foreign offices put out guidance for their citizens that are much more objective than the ones put out by US Government agencies. You might consider checking these out as well.

    I happen to live here and have lived here a long time now. Originally I lived in the US and I was and I am an American citizen. However, I have a permanent visa because I want to live in Egypt the rest of my life and prefer it to every other country in the world there are no people like the Egyptian‘s. They are the sweetest, kindest warmest people in the world, in my opinion, Israel needs to calm down and quit trying to drag everybody in the World War III. They’ve been causing problems since I was a little girl living in the states with the Palestinian people they don’t want anybody else in Israel, which they have changed the name from Palestine, which has been its name from ancient times. I will remember working at a place in hearing to Jewish men on the phone with their families and telling their sons to hurry up and get over to Palestine and get the land while they can! I have never been so disgusted! We don’t like them very much in the United States. As a rule they have put their families in places of power, which is what they do and how they take over.

      My pleasure! It’s definitely closer geographically than other tourist areas in Egypt, but otherwise I don’t see much more risk to holidaying in Sharm or Dahab. The Egyptian government has a very heavy security presence in these areas, and their top priority is the safety of the tourists who are visiting the southern Sinai.

    We watched your videos before we went to Egypt and it was so helpful.
    My wife and I just got back from Egypt and Jordan.
    To be honest we were more annoyed and afraid of scams of Egypt than the war.
    We paid for a private tailored-tour with an Egyptian tour company and at first it was ok but we realized we ended up paying a Premium for #GhettoLuxury
    My dream was to see the Pyramids on my 40th birthday which I did and I’m so grateful for but 10 days in Egypt was way too long.
    We ended off with a 4 day tour in Jordan 🇯🇴 which was like a breath of fresh air literally. Nice people great service and competent people.
    We will never be going back to Egypt.
    My only advice for those who want to go is to make sure to be on a large group tour (less chances of scamming you) and to see the pyramids and leave lol like 2-3 days max.
    Will definitely be making a TH-cam video on avoiding scams in Egypt

    I've been following the situation. As a former visitor to Egypt, and I want to go again; I think most fears are based on the possibility of planes being shot down by a missile going astray, or by Israel expanding their aggression if Egypt opens the border for the Rafah Gaza refugees. As someone who has previously visited Egypt, I am not concerned about hostility from Egyptians. Plus, the Egyptian government keeps up with tourists. They know who we are and where we are. We had a police escort during one day trip. Plus, they communicated via text messages, giving us a source to contact if necessary.

      Yes, totally safe to travel at any time and to take Uber. I have never been out to Sphinx Airport, so I’m not sure how Uber works out there, but I just opened the app to check and it appears that Uber picks up at Sphinx and can take you to your hotel in Zamalek for around $20 USD. Other option if you want something more secure is to ask your hotel how much it costs for them to arrange a transfer.

    There is always some terror problem in Egypt that sporatically causes dealth every few years. The problem is that no one knows when will this happen.
    That being said, 99%+ of tourists are fine and the destination is wonderful.

    • @EgyptAdventuresTravel
      @EgyptAdventuresTravel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I agree that it is a wonderful destination and that almost always it is perfectly safe. Unfortunately things happen all over the world in large cities, but when things happen in certain places (like in the Middle East/North Africa) it for some reason carries more weight than when something happens in a city in Europe/North America.

      @hashimelmasry2050 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My brother, there is no terrorism in Egypt. The people of Egypt uprooted terrorism from its roots decades ago. The problem that our region suffers from is the presence of a criminal state that kills thousands of children and women, namely Israel, and does not care about the world’s calls for it to stop. Therefore, feelings of hatred towards it are increasing even in all parts of the world in America, France and Britain. In Spain, the Israelis are exposed to accidents, and in Egypt as well, and this is not a measure. This is a result of their barbaric behavior against infants and children. Imagine, in a month, they killed 8,000 children under 4 years old.

    • @itsthemetho
      @itsthemetho 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love Egyptian history and have many friends from there. But nearly ever year or two there is some terriost attack. The last one was in Alexandria in 2023 killing 3 people. The Sinai insurgency was only claimed to have ended in Jan 2023 by the Egyptian President. I hope so, but I doubt it.
      Is the risk huge to tourists? No. Millions come to Egypt year on year without being affected. The health issues from things like untreated flat worms (S. haematobium) are probably a bigger risk to most tourists.
      I hope brother that you are right about the end of terrorism within Egypt.

    My country (the Netherlands) still has a yellow advice (no 'reconsider', but be careful) for the main parts of Egypt. I don't know if you've heard, but with the recent election victory of anti-islam politician Geert Wilders, is it still safe to travel to Egypt?

    It's at level 3 because of potential risk. Things could happen and there's always a risk. Feeling safe because nothing is currently occurring is not always wise.

      Yes, tourists sticking to the areas like dowtown Cairo or areas where the tourist sites are will not encounter any issues. Even in very remote parts of Cairo and Egypt though, I still feel much safer than I do in large cities in the USA.

    Play it safe...you don't want to become a static like the 2 tourists in Alexandria or the many kidnapped Americans from Israel

    • @EgyptAdventuresTravel
      @EgyptAdventuresTravel  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The two tourists killed in Alexandria, while very tragic, doesn’t make me feel unsafe. Maybe that’s because I’m from the USA where people are in unsafe situations all the time, lots of the times from people with guns? Maybe people from different countries would feel differently. I actually feel safer in the streets of Cairo than I do in the USA.
      And Americans kidnapped from Israel also doesn’t concern me. I would never see a situation where an American tourist in Egypt, when sticking to the main cities like Sharm, Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Alexandria, would ever be kidnapped.
      It’s important though for each traveler to think about the safety risks of traveling anywhere, and make decisions accordingly. But, per the US State Department and US Embassy, the situation regarding security in Egypt hasn’t really changed, aside from recommending using increased precautions.

      @@zhanonaltay5466 yeah didn't change much and the killing of those two tourists while tragic won't affect you on a daily basis since we know that people can't be judged based on their government or religion even Israelis most of the time get only some cold stares if they announce themselves as long as you are not a dick you would be fine
