Thank you so much for recording this so the extremely claustrophobic among us can see it. I was having a panic attack just watching. 🙂 When I was in Egypt 13 years ago the inside of the Great Pyramid was still closed. But of all the wonders we saw, two particularly stand out. The first was Medinet Habu, the funerary temple of Ramses III. The other was Abu Simbel. It's a fascinating country everyone should visit.
I am not even claustrophobic I found it very uncomfortable too. And once you decided to climb there is no way of turning back... this is so suffocating. I am so glad I live in the age where I can watch these videos for free.
This is always a secret, but you know something. As an Egyptian, I tell you this is not only puzzling. Every village in Egypt contains great antiquities and amazing collectibles that have not yet been displayed, and the Great Pyramid is not only the only mystery, but there are many.
@ChuckStegall777 In fact, these are secrets that we have not been able to discover yet, and if you think that this is a miracle, look for the golden mask of King Tutankhamun and the statue of Queen Nefertiti, and there are things that are much more miraculous than the pyramid. Thank you, miss. ❤
Phenomenal recording, what a hauntingly beautiful place. Well done for your camera work with the awkward spaces and the crowds! It's incredible they let us mere mortals climb all over and inside it, but I'm happy they do! Really enjoyed this, thank you.

In Athens it was great to visit the Acropolis, also Pompeii was very nice, but my fondest memory was in Rome back in the ninety's. One night we climbed over the fence of the Colosseum and walked through the middle of the arena. It was also a full moon. That was the coolest experience of visiting old buildings in my life.

Man, I wondered so much how it is to enter the Cheops pyramid! Thank you so much for providing this realistic video! This is no less than one of the most impressive places of mankind - hope I also can be there soon!
Thank you for sharing this video. It brings back memories from when I visited the Great Pyramid in summer of 2001. The pyramid is a fantastic accomplishment of ancient engineering. Even the obvious elements such as planning and logistics involved in constructing this structure were impressive achievements.
It’s upsetting to see all the names carved into the walls and damage that’s been done from the thousands upon thousands of hands that have touched every inch of that place. I wish I could travel back in time to the 60’s like some of the previous commenters so I could see it in better condition. I’ve always been so fascinated by the pyramids, but would be let down by all the other tourists ruining the experience.
Coming from Assassin Creed Origins Tour mode, and then clicking on this video it is shocking to see how much different it is. In the game set in 75 BCE it all of this and more is shown in pretty good detail. Great video, and I recommend the Tour mode of A.C.O
I’m studying ancient Egypt in school right now, and I always love to look up videos, pictures, virtual tours, etc. On what I’m learning. This video was so cool! So interesting and exciting to see and learn about ancient Egyptian’s thought processes when it comes to architecture and just living in general! I did get a little claustrophobic watching this though haha
Really nice job filming the details of the inside of the pyramid, here. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us. It's really fascinating!!!
A tomb like this may not seem important to us now, but to the people who had these structures built, it was the most important task of their lives. It was everything to them and their immortality depended on it. Also, they were more than a tomb just like a cathedral is not simply a tomb for saints.
Thanks! The beauty of the Khufu's pyramid is every few years you can deep dive into the new footage like this video you've kindly shared with us, I've been really busy and haven't had time to dig for new videos in a few years and there's so much footage piled up in that time. I appreciate all the little tips and payments you had to make along the way to get this footage, everyone and their brother has their hand out for a tip there :)
@@reallygoodfood9481 You are asking about something. I am searching in the comments on it. The smell from the inside is so beautiful, the smell of time and history that I approached the walls to smell its smell. Believe me, it is a very strange smell and it does not always change. You smell it and feel it. A scent that touches your heart and you will never forget it.
@@Mr.Grimsdale ..I remember the corridor stones leading to the chamber. They were black. The only color I remember of the Grand Gallery was the pale, yellow stains at the base. Jean Pierre thinks that was pig grease used for lubrication of wooden rollers used for hauling the upper chamber stones.
@@charlesbogle6544 It definitely had to be something beyond basic physical human muscular strength and the use of levers in my opinion. How the will to build something so back breakingly difficult by hand could exist is hard for me to fathom but i'm only capable of thinking from my frame of reference I suppose.
Thanks Kaimark for putting up this video. For someone like myself who will never be able to get there it is just wonderful. It's the nearest thing to being there for me. Thanks again . .
@@brianr3699 exactly! It was a burial place for the pharaoh/King/God incarnate. Covered with lime stone in the gold cap not only as a tribute to the gods but away for the king to enter the afterlife. So yes it was a tomb.
Really really magnificent monument ever built by human being on Earth. I sometimes think about the gigantic size of the Giza pyramid. Once the famous historian of Greece Herodotus visited this pyramid and he had seen a list of people worked here and how many years they worked here. Herodotas saw in the list that per day the workers needed twenty thousand kilogram of wheat flour and potatoes type vegetables etc. Absolutely fantastic.Herodotas came at this pyramid 2500 years ago then it was old enough about 2500 years.
At the end of the night Napoleon Bonaparte stayed in this pyramid, he came out of the pyramid with fear and trembling in the morning and said these words near his death: "Oh, what's the use, you won't believe even if I tell you what I saw" and after saying these, he went back to bed...
So great to see the inside of the pyramid, but I would never go through those narrow corridors. I once went into a cave in France and in the middle of the tour I had an attack of claustrophobia.
Thanks for sharing your interesting story. Indeed, walking through the Great Pyramid is a real challenge but at the same time a wonderful experience. Have you ever been to Egypt?
There are medicine which will keep you relaxed and awake and let your enjoy ...ask your GP for it and go have fun! And they are short acting and comfortable.
I went to Khufu pyramid yesterday and it’s narrow and steep ramp. I had to kneel and almost crawl while walking the entire time. I feel bad for anyone pass the age 50+ doing this while sweating buckets. My thighs are still burning from walking those ramps
This was an excellent video. Hilarious that you recorded the sign that said no recording. Do they think people won't want to visit such a magnificent place if they see a video of it? If going in person ever becomes realistic for me, I definitely shall. Until then, it is wonderful to live in an age where I can still directly experience world heritage sites.
Amazing that the videograher was'nt caught,we had members of our tour group that their camera was confiscated. But nevertheless it is a wonder for the whole world to see how the inside of the pyramid was built.
I couldn't go past the entrance of the first passage this morning, as it was crowded and I felt I was suffocating, but thanks to your video now I know what I missed! Grazie!
The sign near the entrance clearly stated "no video." I guess they're pretty lax about it. Most of the people seem to be taking the whole thing sort of matter-of-fact. I would be in total awe of the whole thing. I hope I get to visit some day. It's on my bucket list.
Thank you so much for this video. This tour and all of Egypt has been on my bucket list for a very long time. However at my age and physical condition I'm not sure I could do this much walking and climbing. So the next best things is your lovely video!
On your bucket list a “very long time”. Book yourself a trip! You never know how much time you have. Don’t wait if you can afford it. I look forward to seeing your video of your trip!
Unbelievably remarkable. This is very high on my list of places to visit. Seeing people sitting on the outside stones had me wondering what the peoples of those long past times would think. Both of us, and the city they started etc. I've seen interior 3d maps of the pyramid, but they don't quite convey just how steep that passage is. And then the chamber itself... it's a little humbling to think that it was meant to never be seen by human eyes ever again. And was for thousands of years. The heat has me wondering... is that just the heat from outside entering through the door and rising up into the chamber and getting stuck?
I was there in 1979 when the company I worked for sent me to train the locals on military radio repair, the plane ticket cost $6000 back then and there were hardly any other people in there, I was mostly by my self inside the great pyramid of Cheops.
Thanks for a great video, I'll be visiting the pyramids next month. I don't want to go inside anymore! It says we have to leave the camera behind, was it allowed then?
Anyone know why there are metal brackets sticking out from the walls of the grand gallery? 6:35 Where they added in the early 1900s for scaffolding, or repairs? Or were they really added at construction time? (the air shaft had metallic handles afterall so they might be native perhaps?
Настоящую красоту и величие пирамид можно почувствовать ночью,когда нет толпы туристов.Многие,очень многие из них,просто приехали поглазеть,а не проникнуться величием древнего Египта.
Thank you for showing us that cant make it to that side of the world, this is fascinating! And gave me alot of anxiety...Im not claustrophobic but I dont think I'd do well in those narrow spaces. Amazing to think how this looked when it was 1st completed
Sería formidable conocer y conversar con el Arquitecto y toda ésta gente que diseño y construyó está grandiosa obra.. Saludos desde Guayaquil-Ecuador!!
Hello, my dear brother, this building is more than 4000 years old, and its construction is considered the secret of our civilization. The stones weigh many tons, but they are more than 2 million stones, and there is no engineer who can build this with simple primitive tools. 😂
Thank you very much for your feedback. Yes it was unfortunately not possible to enter the queen chamber and the rooms below. As far as I know this was possible in the past.
Best theory to me is that this structure had to do with some kind of Energy transmission or generation this is the most likely explanation. Since we just discovered we can transmit electricity wirelessely but our tech is still quite limited, these guys perharps had the technology to even harness power from the stars/solar. As for how it was built men will come and go but we will never know.Thnks for the video bro
Like being there: K.L.. Given the narrow passages that are built tight for the movement for one; brings to mind the words of the Jackson Browne's song lyric line... ''In the end there is one dance you do alone.''
Why do the granite blocks in the Great Gallery and in the "pharaoh's tomb" look like they were cut with laser precision, but the stones on the outside of the pyramid don't have that precision? And where are the hieroglyphs on the walls?!?
This is marvelous. Respect to the Architecture, the workers & to the Paroh's for the creation of such magnificient item. 😍 Apart from this it seems a bit scary to me. It kinda looks very sufficating somehow😢

I would love to visit the Pyramids but I'm afraid of what it would do to my delicate esteem. Seeing that ancient pile of stone might make me rethink my place on Earth and how insignificance I really am. I prefer to keep that to myself.
Been there, done that... :) 30 years ago, and I recall almost no-one else in there with me. Must have been a slow day. Looks like they upgraded the lighting. There used to be just bare incandescent lightbulbs with gaps along the way, so I had to use my small mag-light in dark areas. Anyway, thanks. Watching, I had a hard time recognizing (recalling) some areas. Too long ago--seems like another ancient time for me!
Actually it's Khufu aka Cheops. Khufu was his Egyptian name, Cheops was the name the Hellenic Macedonian Greeks gave him thousands of years later when they conquered Egpyt prior to founding its final Ptolemaic dynasty.

@ChuckStegall777 They actually had advanced knowledge on constructions, they were pretty smart

My eldest brother went there as an 82nd Airborne in 1982 and took live videos, it's just amazing how the pyramids even exist.

I've always wanted to go there but it's much easier watching from here. Thanks for great video.
Thank you for sharing this video. It brings back memories from when I visited the Great Pyramid in summer of 2001. The pyramid is a fantastic accomplishment of ancient engineering. Even the obvious elements such as planning and logistics involved in constructing this structure were impressive achievements.
@K. K. The Pyramids were constructed by Aliens it's impossible for humans at that time to build a structure like that.
No, everybody says you ruin it for them. Stay home!
you'd also be another tourist ruining the experience to someone else
I went in the smallest pyramid inside, people have graffitied all inside the pyramid. It was so sad to see
The other tourists would want you to stay home so that the crowd is less, you aren't special.
What about all the modern construction in there and electrical wires and what is behind the sarcofagh? AC?!
Coming from Assassin Creed Origins Tour mode, and then clicking on this video it is shocking to see how much different it is. In the game set in 75 BCE it all of this and more is shown in pretty good detail. Great video, and I recommend the Tour mode of A.C.O

That’s not a tomb. That’s something way more significant. Absolutely stunning.
A tomb like this may not seem important to us now, but to the people who had these structures built, it was the most important task of their lives. It was everything to them and their immortality depended on it. Also, they were more than a tomb just like a cathedral is not simply a tomb for saints.

The pyramids were built by man. No question.
The pyramids were covered with polished white limestone and reflected sunlight all around them. The Great Pyramid was definitely not a tomb.

The sign near the entrance clearly stated "no video." I guess they're pretty lax about it.

The acoustics in the kings chamber are mind boggling
How do you build something like that back then. Amazing.
This is the secret that has baffled many scientists
I was there in 1979 when the company I worked for sent me to train the locals on military radio repair, the plane ticket cost $6000 back then and there were hardly any other people in there, I was mostly by my self inside the great pyramid of Cheops.
