Love the hattons coaches in video. It just looks out of this video so happy I called my Hornby order. Will order the GNR for sure as there would go great with range of my steam train. But great video and great looking 9F.
Morning ben Hope you are well? Yes the hattons coach is nod to up coming video and where this model loco would of been built in real life. I try to blend it in. Yes the 9f is fantastic model. Thank you for the kind words and watching and commenting on the video Keep safe ARP
Hi Adi, Great review. Good to see Hornby have finally updated this loco the diecast boiler is a good touch, also good the firebox glow did work well at the slow speeds wonder if it has any flickering effects in DCC. I have a Bachmann Evening Star which is a fine model that was better than the old Hornby ones, this one now has the edge but with the RRP at more than £100 over what I paid for mine I should think so as well. All the best. Cheers Rob.
Hi Robin Hope you are well? Thank you for the kind comment I don't own a Bachmann 9f because Bachmann models seem to hate my 2nd radius track my lyr 5 class my 2-8-0 wds and few smaller Bachmann loco keep derailing on my 2nd radius. The new hornby model is alot heavier tender is plastic still. It a lovely model Thank you for watching and commenting Keep safe ARP
Morning Richard I hope you are well? Thank you for the kind words You won't be disappointed with the model. Hornby have gone to a lot of trouble to get this model right. It has some great features too. Thank you for watching and commenting Keep safe ARP

Morning Paul I hope you are well? Thank you for the kind words Yes it well worth the wait for this model. Well made and hornby have gone too a lot trouble to get it right Thank you for watching and commenting Keep safe ARP
I remember them! This model is a massive improvement on Hornby’s last 9F offering. I have fingers crossed that Hornby will produce 77xxx BR Standard 3MT 2-6-0s…🤞
It fantastic model I can't say enough good things about it I've got a few hornby stuff on pre order Still hoping for great bear and streamlined King and Castle and b17 Keep safe ARP
Lovely model . I have 92167. I didnt get crew with mine. Its running ok on DCC but with a very slight lock up a slow speed? Have to run it in more. Yours if you dont mind me saying seems to have a pick up scraping noise from the loco? Dont know if you heard it? Might just need tweaking there? Great review
Morning Alan Hope you are well? Thank you for the kind words Yes it pick up on front wheel. It happens now and then. As for the crew ring the shop or hornby and see if they send a replacement crew out. I know Bachmann did same with a few bits my v2 was missing. Thank you for watching and commenting Keep safe ARP
Why no mention of the rivet detail on the boiler which appears to be incorrect as none of the pictures in the hMRS book on the 9Fs show this. The boiler casing seems to be one piece with joins or rivet detail
Hi james I hope you are well? I simply forgot but you can see them in the pictures. I seen the debate on rmweb Am sorry I forgot Thank you for watching and commenting Keep safe ARP
@@AdiPullen thanks for your Adi. The only picture I can find with anything that remotely looks like the Hornby boiler is a Crosti boiler being fitted to the frames during construction and before the outer sheeting has been affixed
Hi Adi, Well done on this with what you are saying a far better model than your Railroad one but it should be for the price but looks good and nicely reveiwed. Cheers Robert.
Morning Robert I hope you are well? Thank you your kind words I know what you saying with prices But it what it is But yes this is a fantastic model I've got nothing to lose saying that. Thank you for commenting and watching Keep safe ARP
Nice review Adi. Amazing how prices gone up for new Hornby loco's. At+ 200£ it's not my budget. Die-cast boiler ok but firebox flicker is just another gadget as are sprung buffers. It doesn't make a difference to me. The running & pulling power seems ok and the satin black paintwork is a nice touch as is the included locomotive crew. All in all I get two fantastic Hornby O1's for the less money and compared with the new Dapol Manor this loco is way to expensive. Success & happy model railroading !
Hi filip Hope you are well? ,it just way of the world with prices But I know what you are saying. Oxford rail the same to The model it self in my opinion is worth the money. It great puller too and it can do second radius too. Thank you for watching and commenting Keep safe ARP

Quick query - you say it's a 21 pin socket, but the ads say its 8 pin - which is it?
21 on box and instructions

Very basic error - they made the axles 2.33mm too short. (Yes, a smartarse comment, I apologise. But still true.)
Maybe but no expert
