I love this rendition and the colorization. I treasure each of his renditions/interpretations, but this one has something different, something more. Usually it is in the ending of the song where the differences lie, but in this version, it is throughout the song, with an amazing degree of passion & intensity with each word and phrse that make it so real and authentic and personal. Each time he cries out, "I am, I said," You feel that he is experiencing the raw emotions of the song as he is singing it. It's not as much a performance as a personal experience that we are witnessing. And that makes it real and powerful as he shares his emotions & most inner self. For that I am grateful and in awe.

Amazing! So many can relate to the words of this song - but none other than Neil can bring that vibrant emotion to it. Words, Music, Voice, Looks - what is he?? Is he real.....or a fantasy?
When I first heard this song over 50 years ago it cried out to me in stronger terms than I could ever imagined from a song. Throughout my life it has continued to connect with me in one way or another. The song is a Masterpiece! This performance may be one of the best. Thank you. Neil is the entire package....a poet, lyricist, musical artist, singer...and amazing performer. His conveyance of emotion is unsurpassed. Neil, thank you for the gift that you have given to so many. I too prayed for peaceful years before my youth had gone....and was able to find them. Your words provided me with the hope and courage to make that journey.
