My dad was a big Neil Diamond fan. This song was a fitting tribute to play at both my dad's graveside service and his memorial. In fact, I played it in his room right after he died. Thank you, Neil, for this lasting memory.

This takes me back to a special time in my youth. Summer of 1973 and I was twelve years old and consumed by the music of The Hollies, Buffalo Springfield , The Byrds and my favorite songwriter Neil Diamond. For my birthday, my mother and father took me to see Neil at Saratoga Performing Arts, my first concert in a string of hundreds over the decades. Still, to this day, I honor that day and my now deceased parents by picking up the guitar and playing I am I Said or Holly Holy. He is truly one of the greatest singer-songwriters that this country has had and forever in my memories.
What a special man we were blessed to have. So gifted .. Thank you Neil Diamond for so many beautiful songs 🎵 🎶 🎵 that touched our hearts as only you could..❤
I love the way he sings and the way he performs to the audience, he gives it all! He is a good singer songwriter and he deserved the Hall of Fame award because he wants us to have a great time! I love him forever 😊❤

I have loved this man from the beginning and will until my last breath. And he will live on in the minds of those who love me because that will not be able to remember me without remembering how much I loved him. He with his music got me through the darkest year of my life because of a serious illness. If I ever face such a time again, I will return to listening to him only again.
