You might need a fogger to maintain the humidity if your toad keeps soaking in the bowl every night. I lost a toad to dehydration because I only gave him a water bowl and didn't use a fogger because I disregarded how important it was to pay attention to the moisture in the air.
Glad you enjoyed! The only regular maintenance I do is cleaning the water dish and trimming the plants when they get too big. Otherwise the clean up crew takes care of most everything else. I have a different video on my channel all about bioactive tank maintenance!
I took in a toad to feed it and draw it for a week, but it was too cold to release it afterwords. I figured I keep it for a season, but my sister just told me they forget how to hunt. ;-; I’m quite fond of him, and have him set up in a 20 gal, but I still feel a bit bad
HELP! Question...I have a toad I rescued from a car dealership parking lot. I took him home and set up a tank. Had him about about a year and he dug a hole I assume to hibernate. Then he came out after a while. Soon he Hibernated again during the winter of 2023 & it's now April 2024 and he has not come out. I'm getting concerned and wondering what's going on..whether he died while buried or will he come out eventually?
Looking at Mr. Toad it seems he is well fed and quite happy with his new home.
Can't wait to see how big of a unit they turn into! Bet it would include a sweet new enclosure upgrade video 😉
Crossing my fingers for a male cause females get SO big 🤞🤞🤞
Ah! And a soaking bowl! Very helpful. Very nice!
so adorable oh my goodness
I love that idea of pockets of sphagnum moss (damp)!
The cutest baby!! Looks cozy 🥹
Aw what a cute little toad. Glad he likes his enclosure. Great video
A lot of care was put into this. ❤
Great looking build! I bet your toad loves it in there!
Thanks!!
Do you have to clean? How often? What process...i.e. remove everything and replace or what do you do?
i have 11 toads
I have 2 male and female plus a baby that keeps almost getting eaten 😂

Thank you for the tip! We have him hooked up to a Mist King now, so he gets regular misting c:
Great video, what type of maintenance do you do and at what timeframe?

I’m just curious but why didn’t you do a background? 😮
