I've had mine for going on 12 years now. I've changed out an alternator and a manifold lever. The comment about no squeaks or rattles is true. My 911 has all sorts of rattles and squeaks but not my c230. I refuse to get rid of it.
I have a 2005 C320 4-Matic, and I just love it! I love the wheels on the sport though.

This salesman always drops the ball on the retractable cup holder. He missed it completely on the 2003 red cream puff video. They work perfectly. He's trying to push the cup holder down with his finger on the open button. 7:20 They do exactly what they're designed to do if you know how.
One of the last reliable Mercedes with the least bit of issues. After the year of 2010 all of them became problems. Same story with GM and Ford.

It has to be sport edition that's where the AMG is. On my 2007 230 sport it has twin AMG exhaust pipes and a sport badge on the sides

This my be a stupid question but how do I know ow my car is a AMG? Its a 2006 c230 sport. I'm assuming it's an AMG but I figure it would say AMG on it somwhere
The amg they are talking about is basically the amg appearance package for c230. Was designed cosmetically by AMG with ground effects and few other trim details,, it does have some amg suspension and stuff too. If you car is not a V8 then it's not a true AMG or c55. The SPORT badge on side panel behind front wheel indicates AMG appearance package I'm referring to. Basically it's an amg to the general public. Mine has amg on back because after was lightly hit from back body shop thought was an Amg and put the emblem on back where it goes on a C55. In 2 years only 2 ppl ever noticed not a true Amg it's really good clone. Even shops I take it to ask is this an amg

I just bought a 2006 C class with 103K miles on it ? For 4K.. anyone know if that’s a good deal ? The Car has no known mechanical issues. Car is in really good condition. The paint is clean no scratches etc… the inside is in great condition too..
Yeah it’s in good deal but don’t look at the aesthetics rather look at the mechanicals of it. Be on top of it for engine parts, suspension parts and interior electronics. I’m a an owner of one and mine is at 167,000 miles and still running.

@@gochi6542 it depends on weather you know how to inspect before buying, I have a 1995 c280 with 215000 miles the most I've spent on it is a brake job that I did myself I bought it 3 years ago with 18000 miles for $700, a 1997 e320 I bought for $1600 now has 170000 miles daily driver from NJ to NY 7 days a week, only a few misc parts I've replaced like an ignition coil and the hood struts. Like any car you buy you have to know what to look for or else you're picking up someone else's problems. There's always a reason someone sells a car

Nice car, but can't help but be disappointed that the Mercedes makes as much horsepower out of a 2.5 V6 in 2007 as Ford was making in a 2.5 V6 in the 90's.
How does that disappoint you? Ford needed 3.8l of displacement to make 200 hp, Mercedes did it with 2.5, their 3.5 makes far more power than an equivalent 6 cylinder Mustang of the year.

@@bekabeka71 the 2.5 V6 C230 doesn't have a kompressor. Only the 1.8 and 2.3 I4 C230 does.
I just purchased the same car in Iridium Silver. The window sticker was included, in 2007 the base price was $29,535.00, mine has $11,000 in options!! 360 watt 12 speaker 6 CD changer Harmon Kardon System. There is nothing on the car that indicates the model. It just says sport on the front quarter panels. No indication that it is a C230. Best automobile I have ever owned. Built like a tank.

The body kit is amg and exhaust tips. And the sport suspension. When getting my service b done. Dealer pulled up car info. And it said amg body kit for sure but couldn't read the rest. Plus its depends on where car was made. My benz was made in germany not mexico or kansas

i too bad that they do not tell the truth about these c230 with the 2.5l v6 and 350 series 3.5 l v6 with the camshaft idler balance shaft they are the worst headache engines mercedes ever built along with 350 series from 2004 to 2007 it will cost 5,000.00 to 7,000.00 to replace the balance shaft for gear premature failure due to gear is made from too soft of steel and the teeth wear out prematurely and mercedes benz was sued with a class action lawsuit for defective balance shaft unfortunate they were never recalled for defective engine stay away from the engines unless you are prepared to pay for the death code p0016 & p0017 camshafts out of time from jumping the timing chain from worn camshaft balance shaft gear teeth
i forgot you cannot tell if the code is present i have a 2006 c230sport sedan the engine has no sign but with scan it shows the death codes you have to turn the crankshaft till it is at 305 degree's then remove the camshaft position sensors for the #1 bank to see if the circles are centered in the holes they can be slightly off if the are you have a balance shaft gear issue and needs to be replaced if left the gear will eventually will not turn the cams and due catastrophic engine damage
after a lot of research and asking a mercedes engineer about this issue he finally relayed mercedes benz engineer's made a design error in the engine they designed a v6 like a v8 and the engine vibrates excessively so they had to put a balance shaft to cut down on the engine vibration due to 3 cyl on each side and odd number out of balance that is why they discontinued it for 2008 and went to a single chain driven with no balance shaft and rebalanced the crankshaft to compensate for no balance shaft he finally admitted mercedes should compensate all owners the repair with the updated balance shaft that have a hardened gear that now lasts the life of the engine and relaying to owners make sure you use the correct oil which for u.s mobile 1 european car formula it is for german made cars 5w-40 or (10w-40) which is hard to find

@@standyourground9973 the engine is very specific for oil yes you can but the problem is you cannot see the damage inside the engine and what will happen over time your oil passages will plug and wear specific too lubricating the idler shaft gear as the metal is too soft and cause premature failure and unfortunately when it happens you will never hear it until it is too late and even using the right oil you cannot stop the balance shaft gear wear you just wait till the p0016 @p0017 show up on scan codes that means the cams are out of time or simply they have jumped a 1 or 2 teeth on the gear from wear and too fix it$5k to 7k to fix unless you exactly know how to replace it the total kit is not expensive new balance shaft ne cam position sensor new cam magnets and gaskets new chains and rails new oil pump new chain tensioner new crank gear new water pump and belt tensioner it is around $500.00 it is very specific if you make one mistake you will destroy the engine when i do the job and i have the parts i start 1 day and finish the second and i charged the lady 3,700 as she was low income
james smith $3700 for that job? For an old lady? I would’ve done it for $2k and a 24 pack. Where’s your integrity? Additionally, 0w-40 is a pretty thin oil that flows very well so I doubt it’ll be plugging any passages, if anything, it will help clean and expel blocked passages that may have sludged from poor oil service intervals.
i know im late, but dont ever buy one of these.,..crankshaft and camshaft timing issues on allll of em...
