Hi LeAnn! What beautiful mushrooms and yes, I love mushrooms, lol. I wash my mushrooms too, no wetting a paper towel and wiping the dirt off, I want to make sure my food is clean and the cold water freezes me too. I have a big stainless steel pot with a stainless steel strainer insert that I love to use when blanching my foods, makes it so much easier.
You did a beautiful job canning those mushrooms. I know your a happy lady having them on your pantry shelves. Thank you for all your wisdom and time making these wonderful videos, I throughly enjoy each and every one. Have a blessed day can’t wait to see another video. Much love my friend! ❤️

Hmmm I dehydrated oyster, chanterelle, hen of the woods, chicken of the woods, black trumpets, & shitke mushrooms ... wonder if any of those can be canned?

If they are cultivated mushrooms they can be. I have done Oysters mushrooms before. It’s not safe to can wild mushrooms.

I love mushrooms. I use beef/onion broth for my mushrooms.

I use a paper towel holder. I will try that... it sounds yummy!

Would I process at the same time if I added onions too?

I haven’t found a safe tested recipe yet to say you can but I’m going ask certified master food preservationist.

Maybe I will try canning mushrooms, I can’t stand store bought canned mushrooms.

I wonder if you were okay… it’s been a while since I have seen a comment from you… I rarely buy tin can food any more for that reason, the taste. It’s great to hear from you!

Ok! It's driving me crazy! What is the correct spelling of your name? Your husband's name? Your farm type, animals, large garden, etc. Do y'all live near your tamily or his or both? Thanks! I like to know who I'm praying for and asking blessings for.

Linda, I’m LeAnne and my husband is Howard. We are crop farmers that operate his mom’s dairy operation on the side lol. We have a 3200sq foot garden. His mom lives down the road and my family is over an hour away. Thanks Linda for praying for us! I do appreciate it!
