Informative but still confusing and vague. Also I think important is the harmful side effects of these harsh chemicals. Most are hormone disrupters. I did purchase your program, I found that to be exactly the same. For instance I have a granite bathroom vanity with polished stainless steel faucets. What product disinfects this surface safely without harming me or the granite? Yes on the green cleaning products. Also do ecloths do what they are said todo?
Hey Renee… you’re absolutely right about side effects, which is why I mentioned reading the warning labels. So I always protect myself by wearing gloves and a mask. I’ve also found that I am personally allergic to certain products, so I just steer clear of those products entirely. For cleaning your granite vanity and faucet, I’d recommend Dawn. It’s almost PH neutral, having a PH value of 9, which means it’s safe on granite. It just doesn’t have the level of disinfection that other ‘harsher’ products do. So it really becomes a question of… how much disinfection is needed? Was someone in the home or office sick and are you trying to kill the bacteria left behind? Or is this just a routine cleaning? In public settings, like my commercial cleaning clients, I can disinfect a bathroom with a ‘harsher’ product. But then someone could come in 5 minutes later with an illness and reverse my work. That’s why it’s always going to be important for every individual to have a good personal hygiene regimen to protect themselves. That’s what matters most. As for cleaning cloths that also disinfect, I don’t personally buy into those. But I’m doing more research before I make a video about it. 😊 Since you’re a course student you might rewatch the video inside the course on the Science of Cleaning, as I go deeper into the topic there.
