    I’ve lived in AZ my entire life, and in elementary school, my teacher taught the class how to cool down in the 100+ temperatures: go to the kitchen sink and fill it with enough cool-to-cold water to submerge my arm in it. After a few minutes, I was way cooled down.
    When I got into medical school, I found the mechanism behind this is that the blood flowing through my arm cooled down, then it circulated to my core, thereby dropping my core temp. So.... the cold towel is cooling down the larger arteries and veins in your neck, working much more efficiently!! Brilliant advice, Angela. Gold star for you ⭐️

      LOL. Thanks for saying so. We decided on episode 1 that all our shows would be G-rated and family-friendly so they would be safe to watch for every audience. What this means is that we don't/won't include any obscene images of violence, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, needles, nudity, or any cursing or swearing. I love ecloths! I think in my first few weeks of using them I was constantly trying to find things to challenge them to shine, was not disappointed. Though in the UK our window pack is an orange waffle cloth and an orange shining cloth, I'd love the bright yellow ones! But they're often super cheap (ecloths) depending on when you buy them. I've bought them as low as £1.99 before (apparently that's $2.62 at the time of writing this) which makes them easy on the pocket too.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AskAngelaBrown certainly worth it. I've not really ever paid very much for my e cloth cloths, the cheapest ones are the anti bacterial ones on Amazon for I think it's £3 a pack atm which is a pack of 2, but amazon warehouse is also worth checking out too, I picked up a 4 pack last night for £6 which worked out the same, £1.50 a cloth. Always check amazon warehouse because there is massive savings to be had. The pack I got last night usually retails at about £15 and an open box doesn't bother me.

    Also, for an alternative to kitchen towel I tend to use washable bamboo towels. They come on a roll, and you can wash them a good few times before they need binning. I need to buy more soon, but the last lot was bought about 2 years ago which isn't bad going.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, people love those. For homeowners we recommend them over paper towels, but for professional use we try to stick with cotton terry and microfiber since we can (and need to wash them often) to prevent cross-contamination from house to house. Thanks for reminding us about them. Less waste saves the earth. :-)

    LOVE, LOVE your videos Angela. I have a question though: When you wipe down surfaces and/or bath tubs and bath walls/shower walls, do you do so with a damp or completely dry terry towel?

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Typically on a job we use cotton terry cloths in the bathtub or shower. They are dry when we start the job and after wiping down the walls they are damp. We clean the floor of the shower last, and those damp towels we put right outside the shower door on the floor so we can step or kneel on them when coming out of the shower because we have removed the bath mat and are sort of drying off our shoes so we don't track water all over the clients bathroom floor.

      Thank you so much for such an immediate response. Love your presentations and all the help you offer to make house cleaning easier and quicker using great products that you personally have tried. My freezer is a minus 1. I've tried lightly wrung and tightly wrung, in the container it comes in and just by itself in the freezer and both times frozen solid. I initially tore it slightly tried to pry it apart, dumb move on my part. I thought of putting ice cubes in a small bucket with water, adding the absorber let it sit a few minutes wring out and use. I do love it, it does the job of helping to cool you down.

    What do yousuggest for extra shinny laminate floors? I'm having lint problems when I wet mop them with a microfibre drying towell I use 14""*14". Everything else leaves a film residue, the microfibre doesn't but it leaves lint that I can see with a sideways light I shine on the floor.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi John!
      Here are a few things you can try:
      First, make sure that you're using a cleaner that is specifically designed for laminate floors. The cleaners are formulated to be gentle on the surface and won't leave behind any residue or buildup that can dull the finish.
      Also, consider using a different type of mop or cleaning tool. While microfiber towels are great for cleaning, sometimes they can leave behind lint or fibers on the floor. You might want to try using a mop with a microfiber pad that is designed to trap dirt and debris without leaving lint behind.
      Another option is to use a floor buffer or polisher to add shine to your laminate floors. These machines use gentle polishing pads to buff the surface and remove any scuffs or marks, leaving the floors looking clean and shiny.
      Finally, be sure to avoid using too much water when cleaning your laminate floors. Too much water can damage the surface and can also be cause part of the lint problem you're experiencing. Use a damp mop or cleaning tool, and be sure to dry the floors thoroughly after cleaning to avoid leaving behind any moisture or residue.
      Hope this helps!

Hopefully I got the real thing but they came with no instructions on how to care for them and if you can put them in the dryer. Also, I watched your video a couple of times, but I’m not sure which side to use for what on the bright wipes?

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for your feedback! Microfiber cloths can usually be machine washed and air-dried to maintain their effectiveness. Regarding usage, microfiber often has a designated side for specific tasks; a smoother side for general cleaning and a more textured side for tougher stains. Experiment with both sides to see which works best for different cleaning needs.

    How do you feel about ecloths? They seem to be good quality and are also for water use only but I can't bring myself to clean my stovetop and kitchen counter with just water after cooking. (There is a designated stovetop cloth and kitchen cloth). Also, you are supposed to only rinse them out afterwards for daily use but again I can't bring myself to use it again without actually washing them. I can see reusing the one for mirrors but what do you think of this method for the kitchen?

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Cat Nip they are great for so many things. And the answer is it depends on the type of job you are cleaning. If your kitchen needs a degreaser then you’re going to need something stronger than an ecloth, maybe even a scrub brush. The key is to use the least amount of chemicals needed to do the job right. If your stovetopjust needs a light wipe down, the ecloths are fine. 👍

      +Billye if you’re talking about for the weight equipment, you have metal bars with padding. For those you can use a damp terry cloth or a damp microfiber cloth. If you’re going to be spraying the cloths you can spray them with a disinfectant cleaner like OdoBan. That will remove the odors and clean and sanitize them at the same time. You can use a duster or the same type of cloths for the skirting’s or baseboards. 👍
      It sounds like a wonderful room. 😍
