Wow, thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I'm so glad you found the Mung Beans information helpful, and it’s awesome to hear you’re adding them to your healthy bean rotation! 🌱 Mung beans are definitely a great addition, and they’re so versatile and delicious. As for your question, yes, most beans-including lentils, chickpeas, and mung beans-are naturally gluten-free, which makes them perfect for a gluten-free diet. Just be sure to check for cross-contamination if you're buying packaged products, especially if you're super sensitive to gluten. I love how you're embracing such a healthy, plant-based diet! 🙌 Mung beans are sure to fit in beautifully with all the other beans you love, and I’m sure they’ll become one of your favorites too. Thank you again for sharing your story from Trinidad, and may you be blessed as well! 💕
All legumes are good but they should be cooked properly, soak them 12 to 24 hours and then cook at least 30 min at high temperature to reduce lectins. Lectins can have a negative impact on human health at high concentrations.
Thank you for your question! Both whole mung beans and de-husked (split) mung beans offer nutritional benefits. Whole mung beans contain fiber and additional nutrients found in the husk, while de-husked ones might be easier to digest for some individuals. Both varieties can be included in the diet depending on personal preference and cooking methods. Experimenting with both types could help you find what suits your taste and digestion better! 🙏
