Thanks for this review! I have the X3 and wondered if it was worth upgrading to the X4. Since I edit all my videos in FCP, I can take the X3 footage and get the colors to look better and having better resolution is always a nice upgrade, but the lack of HDR photos is a show stopper for virtual tours. I may wait for the next upgrade, as it should be significant when compared to the X3.

Good question, it's still invisible! The pole you see in my shots is from the other camera. I had both the X3 and X4 setup side by side so when the footage is from the X4, you're seeing the stick from the X3 and vice versa :)

Just sold my X4 as you mentioned its just incremental upgrade so only good for BTS and you cant rely on them for the shots with lens flare etc

just picked up x4 for 350. is the stick not invisible anymore:? you were skating with the pole visible in shots
Good question, it's still invisible! The pole you see in my shots is from the other camera. I had both the X3 and X4 setup side by side so when the footage is from the X4, you're seeing the stick from the X3 and vice versa :)

I think they can send software updates to fix alot of quality issues in the x3 however they won't because they will lose money on the x4... sad
