Not controversial at all that you wonder about Baekhyun & Taeyeon. Their relationship was revealed 2 years later after this MV. *But who knows what happened behind the scenes, if they were already dating the whole time or not. Nobody knows. There are also theories that they never dated at all and say SM uses Dating "Scandals" to push promotions or distract from other issues. It was also said for the Jennie & Kai Relationship*. In the end, we will never really know what's the truth.
And I also wanted to say, that I really like that you say that you do not "feel" evey song. I unsubscribed a few reactors because they seemed to like EVERYTHING. That isn't/wasn't really authentic to me.

This was before Baekhyun-Taeyeon relationship. Baekhyun is a huge fanboy of SNSD especially Taeyeon. I think during this era, Baekhyun started to show his feelings haha.
Not to be that kind of fan but I really wish they are still together. Konw why? Because even before, I could see how fond Baekhyun is of Taeyeon and vice versa.

Taeyeon rock song: Devil's Cry :)
Just a fair warning since so many people recommend Devil’s Cry here: Taeyeon did sing it live once for SBS's New Years show and there's a rehearsal cam for that but SBS chose to use a loud backing track for the actual broadcast. All the times she did it as an intro for Run Devil Run were definitely not live and there is heavy processing on the vocal too. It was borderline shocking to see her doing something like that at the time, given SNSD were barely out of their cutesy era, but that's pretty much the value.
I do believe pop-rock tracks of hers like Rescue Me (sounds very Kelly Clarkson) or Time Lapse (was actually written for her by a rock band), while less in your face, are way more authentic and closer to rock in that sense.

Controversial topic: So this was in 2012, back when EXO was just about to debut (SM likes to put their rookies in their veteran groups’ MVs) before the dating announcement happened, which was in 2014. People speculated they were together for close to a year before dispatch (Korean paparazzi basically) caught the photo of them together. But they were actually really good friends before all this, Baekhyun has mentioned before that SNSD is a group that he admires. And Taeyeon is really supportive of EXO’s work. During 2012-2013, where Super Junior, SNSD, Shinee, and EXO were all active at the same time, you could see them dancing to each other’s songs during their performances on music shows and award ceremonies. So basically that was the golden era for the SM family, everyone was/really close to each other. Obviously Taeyeon and Baekhyun aren’t nearly as close as they were, but SNSD and EXO both still support each other’s works.

I think why Holler sounds familiar to you is because the original song is actually an English song and it's an old song. I forgot where I've read it and I can't find it now. Maybe I'm wrong, too.
As for rock, Taeyeon's "I" album is described as pop rock, soft rock and R&B. The only song that comes to mind from this album is 'Stress' and you should check out it's live performance. It's so lit.

Their Twinkle live performances are kinda funny because Seohyun kept hitting Taeyeon’s mic during some parts, and mostly before one of Taeyeon’s solo parts lol. The thing I like about their Twinkle stages the most is when Taeyeon hits her notes?belts? she really has that look on her face that says heck yea I just did that. Though she always does this during her lives, it was very obvious in their Twinkle performances!

You're first two guesses, the intro and the elevator were correct, they actually changed into a different position in the elevator from the intro. they put the maknae in the middle. But the formation would normally be (photoshoots, interviews) Taeyeon - Tiffany - Seohyun (by TTS /age)
