I really appreciate your appreciation for Tiffany's vocals lol. There are so many people who just completely disregard her vocals because she's hit a couple of bum notes over the years and I honestly think that does such a disservice to her abilities. Particularly when you consider, a common misperception among fans is that she had surgery when she had nodules. Vocal nodules have affected her at two different points during her career and she actually DIDN'T get surgery because of the risk of losing her voice, she's only ever had treatments to keep it under control. So the fact that she's still able to pump out great vocal performances is to be commended imo.
Also, can I just say Tiffany is one of those singers who've really improved over time. Her recent interview with Vogue (the whats in my bag one) had her singing and I was just amazed at how much she's improved.
And at least we got those really great solo works from Taeyeon (and the others) like "11:11", the song that was played at the end of the [Taeyeon Funny Montage Vol 2] last week...
@@MsAsh3070 Yeah, all of the member are full of potential. For example, look at how Hyoyeon become one of the most successful rapper in Korea. SM only discover her dancing skill in her early career. And I think SM should more focus on Jessica and Seohyun a few years ago (not only Taeyeon) bcs both of them are very good vocally, but sadly Jessica never had a chance to solo debut under SM until her departure, and Seohyun's vocal is less recognizable in Korean music industry.
This is also one of my favorites! It's one of the very rare occasions where all my biases (Tiffany, Taeyeon and Jessica) would all have iconic parts! I just love this song! Tiffany is especially so glorious here! 🥰🥰😍

Loving all the SNSD content from you lately! They were my gateway into kpop, the first group that I really started following when I first got into kpop back in 2012. I remember being around for the premiere of the I Got a Boy MV lol How Great Is Your Love is one their songs that I have a soft spot for - I just love the way their voices sound on it, so this was a nice treat. Fun Fact: Sooyoung is the sole lyricist credited for this song so it's kinda funny that it give you church song vibes haha. For other TTS stuff, I recommend checking out Baby Steps (my all time favorite TTS song, and one of my top SNSD-related songs in general) at least. There's no MV since it wasn't the single, but there's a few live stages that you could pick from. Other than Baby Steps, Only U would be my 2nd pick. I heard them sing that one live at KCON 2018 and I've loved it ever since. Same thing w/ Baby Steps though where you'll have to check out either a lyrics vid or a live stage since there's no MV.
If you've been loving Tiffany's voice then I highly suggest for you to react to her performance on King of Masked Singer, Rose of Betrayal. Personally I think it's one of her best performance ever. And her live cover of Moon & Sunrise, which was an original by BoA!
yessss that's why i ult tiffany. her voice is amazing, and she's such a bright soul but is also such a diva at the same time. she used to get the most hate out of anyone in snsd for no reason. she's messed up but has also struggled with vocal nodules so often and she always gets sick during promotion periods so she got so criticized for things that are out of her control. she's such a hard worker and has trained to control her voice through the years. nevertheless, her songs and tone is one of a kind.
Unfortunately, Jessica isnt live in HGIYL, assumedly because the concert came out after she left, SM replaced her live vocals with the studio track... Its why the difference in quality is so different between Jess's voice and the others. SM didnt even try to blend the dubbing to make it sound more live, they just left all the production in :(

I recommend listening to a MR removed, it basically takes away all the instrumental and crowd noise leaving their live raw vocals. You can really hear if they sing live or not. Snsd have the best MR removed in kpop they sound amazing 🤩
They killed us with multiple high notes in MrMr :) I think some of us have some regrets that we couldn't see them perform as OT9, I was a college kid with no money when they were complete, now when I've money I couldn't see them :(
Just so you know SM makes multiple members change their voice - Sunny, Yuri, Hyoyeon and Tiffany. They make them sing out of their comfortable range. Which has knocked all of their confidence at some point

As soon as I listened to the song, an image of a spring day popped into my head. So I wrote lyrics about a love that's like a spring day. I personally wrote the lyrics based on my religious faith. For ballad live performances, my favourite would be “Time Machine” from their Japan tours. It’s definitely a Jessica and Sunny song. (You also get to hear Sunny’s real voice as she didn’t use that cutie voice, and I would recommend you to check out “Let it rain”, another Japanese R&B song which Sunny shines out the most with her lower voice). Another one would be “Everyday Love” from the 3rd Japan Tour, it’s such a beautiful song.
This is actually my all time fave snsd song(Mr. Mr.),it even topped my most streamed song in Spotify year end list for like how many years until now. Imagine how many times I must have listened to this, I could sing along with them already although I dont really speak Korean.
Funfact : How great is your love is a remake song (I forgot the OG title), Sooyoung wrote the lyrics for that melody. And she stated that the song can be translated to being grateful for someone's love for us and also for God's love so you're not entirely wrong hahaha.

SNSD picked up two ballads from an LA singer named Jenny Hyun. They redid the music and wrote Korean lyrics. You can hear Jenny's original songs "I Still Believe in Love" and "Watching Over Me" on YT, which became SNSD's "How Great Is Your Love" and "Mistake" respectively.

I'm a 10 years old SONE and enjoying SNSD's music dan MVs so much. Most of the concert videos are actually uploaded illegally and usually cut into each song. So when those videos are uploaded we really didn't pay much attention about those performances (we didn't even know that the video exists). After SNSD last comeback, I was not really into TH-cam, I barely see SNSD on my TH-cam homepage/recommendation (not like it used to be when 95% of my homepage would be SNSD content) But in 1 year, mainly because of the pandemic, I see some reactors (you're the one of it 😆) reacting to old SNSD (and solo member) MVs and performance. That's how I discovered about these amazing performace videos and be like "Wow!! SNSD is so amazing, but they are waaaaay more than what I thought they are". And that makes my love for SNSD is growing stronger everyday. Mr Mr is my favourite album from SNSD and my favourite song is Goodbye! It's very funky and sassy, it's got some powerful vocals but it's also soft too -idk it's just everything to me, I love it so much! They did a live performance of it on Sketchbook too, please check it out~ 💖

Sir Austin, idk if u have the time to watch this, but i really recommend watching Invincible Youth (an old variety with Yuri & Sunny + Hara from Kara, Hyomin from T-ara, Narsha from B.E.G., Hyuna when she was with 4Minute, and Sunhwa from Secret), and the reason i say this is not only bc it's a really fun and wholesome show, but also Sunny was at her top confidence levels during the show, she would often break into singing while planting tomatoes or smth (the variety is them on a farm lol) and that's when i fell deeply in love with her voice! She has srsly the sweetest most capyivating voice

I hope you'll react to their Into the New World version (I don't know how to call that version. Maybe acapella version. Haha) in Girl and Peace concert. They're wearing the same clothes like in "How Great Is Your Love" performance. I think you'll love them more because of their vocals again. SNSD's stability is just so insane.
For ballad live performances, my favourite would be “Time Machine” from their Japan tours. It’s definitely a Jessica and Sunny song. (You also get to hear Sunny’s real voice as she didn’t use that cutie voice, and I would recommend you to check out “Let it rain”, another Japanese R&B song which Sunny shines out the most with her lower voice). Another one would be “Everyday Love” from the 3rd Japan Tour, it’s such a beautiful song.

I'm a 10 years old SONE and enjoying SNSD's music dan MVs so much. Most of the concert videos are actually uploaded illegally and usually cut into each song. So when those videos are uploaded we really didn't pay much attention about those performances (we didn't even know that the video exists). After SNSD last comeback, I was not really into TH-cam, I barely see SNSD on my TH-cam homepage/recommendation (not like it used to be when 95% of my homepage would be SNSD content)
But in 1 year, mainly because of the pandemic, I see some reactors (you're the one of it 😆) reacting to old SNSD (and solo member) MVs and performance. That's how I discovered about these amazing performace videos and be like "Wow!! SNSD is so amazing, but they are waaaaay more than what I thought they are". And that makes my love for SNSD is growing stronger everyday.

Mr Mr is my favourite album from SNSD and my favourite song is Goodbye! It's very funky and sassy, it's got some powerful vocals but it's also soft too -idk it's just everything to me, I love it so much!

When you started to get emotional about not seeing OT9 live I felt that shit because even though I’ve been a fan for like 14+ years, I was a kid and obviously didn’t have the resources to see them. Now that I’m an adult and make my own money I’m emotional and hella sad I’ll never see all 9 performing 😭😭
Sir Austin, idk if u have the time to watch this, but i really recommend watching Invincible Youth (an old variety with Yuri & Sunny + Hara from Kara, Hyomin from T-ara, Narsha from B.E.G., Hyuna when she was with 4Minute, and Sunhwa from Secret), and the reason i say this is not only bc it's a really fun and wholesome show, but also Sunny was at her top confidence levels during the show, she would often break into singing while planting tomatoes or smth (the variety is them on a farm lol) and that's when i fell deeply in love with her voice! She has srsly the sweetest most capyivating voice
