@Waleska Herrera . Girls Generation are not totally officially disbanded they are focusing their own individual activies such as they have a 5 actress line then others are soloist. Oh no guys. GG is the MOST popular group in kpop history! When you know kpop, you know GG. They are suju era. They've been together for 12 years! React to Girls Generation Lion Heart MV.
SNSD is the top female group in kpop. They call them the Legends of Kpop.
If you went to Korea, gave a list of girl groups with Girls Generation, Twice, Blackpink etc. and asked "who is the most legendary girl group?" - everyone would say Girls Generation for sure. They took South Korea and the world by storm during their peak. It's hard to see their impact because they had their burst of popularity before the internet got as big as it is now, so their MV views are less than new girl groups. But if you research them, you will see that they set all the records for K-Pop girl groups (and even boy groups tbh). Before Girls Generation, it was impossible to see such success, but they started a whole wave. Without them, there would be like 50% less girl groups in KPop right now.
Comparing them to other girl groups doesn't make sense. It's like comparing a new girl group to the Spice Girls and saying "why are the Spice Girls not as big as Fifth Harmony?" - it's hard to see their popularity and how big they are/were in this digital age unless you witnessed their reign.

SNSD are the queens of kpop especially Kim Taeyeon the leader who was listed in Forbes magazine as in the top 40 most powerful/influential people in the world, and was dubbed the “Beyonce of Girls Generation” because of her singing, and recently was chosen by Disney to do the cover of “Into the Unknown” Korea version for Frozen 2!
Hyoyeon is the inspiration for dancing hip-hop and has many admirers from other groups including Momo from twice. She is now a DJ and is a solo artist like the rest of the group but is traveling around the world performing in clubs and parties for many businesses! One of her songs “Punk right now” is so underrrated but one of the best club songs in korea.
When it comes to Super Junior and SNSD they are very close like a family, SNSD also looks after Red Velvet and helps them out. Taeyeon is known as the “Mother of Red Velvet” cause she looks after them so much that they sometimes sleep over at her place!
But SNSD are very funny and know all the dirty little secrets from super junior, Heechul was teasing Sunny on Knowing brother to the point of which she was irritated and said on camera in front of the audience, “ Heechul you want me to REVEAL something?” And Heechul got quiet to where the rest of the cast said, “What is it that she knows?” And Heechul said, “Wait until I quit from SM and join JYP or YG, then we will talk!”
Soo Young and Hyoyeon are know to be the most savage in the group and are funny as hell, they are very witty and sharp. These girls are sweethearts, very close, and treat each other like a real family and help build people up to be the best that they can be.
Soo Young, Seohyun, and Tiff never renewed their contract with SM and left to persue other venue’s where Soo Young and Seohyun took up acting and star in K-drama’s while Tiff came back to the U.S. to persue a solo-singing career. Jessica left a long time ago and is a CEO for her own clothing company.
Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Yoona, and Yuri are still contracted with SM but are all solo artist.
Girls’ Generation is one of the OG girl groups 😂😂 (not as old as OG OG groups like SES and Fink.L but still) and they were actually created to be the sister group of Super Junior and debuted in 2007
They really sparked a rise in girl groups and girl group popularity after they debuted and broke/set a bunch of records during their time,,,they are a powerful group with a bunch of notoriety and respect to this day (kpop royalty 🙌)

Just to let u guys know about what currently all the members are doing:
Taeyeon(leader aka queen of vocals aka queen of ost): she has been releasing her solo songs almost every year and she just release her 2nd full album recently. Check out her title track ‘Spark’ and she is also the one who was officially chosen by Disney to sing frozen 2 (kor ver) of ‘into the unknown’
Tiffany(1/3 that left SM) : currently went back to her hometown in LA and starting all over again there. She’s been on tours and also release alot of new music this year. She also the first female kpop to have won ‘best solo breakout’ from iHeart Radio Awards this year (winning over the fifth harmony girls).
Sunny: she is probably the only one in snsd who focus more on variety program. She does MC, Variety and also musical.
Hyoyeon: The dancer of the group and also the best female dancer in kpop. The first ever female kpop to ever become a DJ. She’s currently focus on her DJ tour all over Asia and some other cities.
Yuri: She just finish her musical. She also just debut as a solo artist last year with an album called ‘The first scene’ . She does acting as well apart from doing music.
Sooyoung (2/3 that left SM): same as Yuri, she also does music and acting but currently focusing more on acting. Her new drama is coming out next year! (Can’t waiiit!)
Yoona: the visuals of snsd as well as korean most beautiful kpop idol. She does MC, also hv a solo song by SM Station and her main focus is acting.
Seohyun (3/3 who left SM): maknae of the group who also does have solo songs, do musical and acting as well.
Basically girls generation are known as the nation girl group and even with their solo works, they are very successful which is hard for any other group to achieve that. You can see that a lot of kpop group look up to them as they were called ‘textbook for idols’ sorry for the long list, i tried to summarise this actually. SNSD TTS - Baby Steps and Twinkle if u want Vocals . But Girls' Generation together are the best not only TTS
Super Junior and Girls Generation are each others mirror. They were both in the same era, Girls Generation TTS is equivalent to Super Juniors KRY which are the three main vocalist of said groups into sub units. I suggest reacting to KRY- Point of No Return. but also Girls Generation as a whole which are 8 members (was 9 til 2014) You can look them up and take your pick on reacting to any of the songs cause they are all AMAZING!! These three are Tae-Ti-Seo (TTS), a subgroup of SNSD /Girls Generation (debuted in 2007 as 9 members--Jessica left in 2014 to the great sadness of the other members and to fans). Seohyun is on the piano--classically trained, has a sweet pure voice and is good at English and Japanese. Taeyon is the blonde, She's the purest, most subtle vocalist,few can match her (and she's a great mimic--her English skills are thanks to talent, and Tiffany . Tiffany is American-born, good range with a lot of power and tonal flexibility.
Whether 9 (2007-14) or 8 (2014--2017) all the members have had good to great voices which have only improved over time. They harmonize beautifully, their songs are vocally complex and interesting, they broke ground and broke records like no other K-Pop group--they have an unmatched depth of talent and craft and as a bonus they are all super nice and funny. Though not active together as an 8-members together, they are NOT disbanded--GG/SNSD still exists. They are all doing solo work now, but they still contribute to each others solo projects.

They are really really huge especially back in 2009 - 2011/12. They were the first and only girl group to be acknowledged as the nation’s girl group. They are such legends that their song, Gee was placed first for eight consecutive weeks on Mnet’s chart and up till now, no one has broken that record. When they debuted in 2007, boy groups were dominating the Kpop industry and market. Girls’ Generation was the only girl group capable of competing with them. They are all pursuing their solo activities now, and will come back someday when the time is right. Also, fyi they have not disbanded.

Fun Fact the first version of SuperM was a sub unit called Younique. It had all the main dancers from all the most popular groups at the time including Taemin (Shinee), Kai (Exo), Eunhyuk (Suju), and Hyoyeon (Girls Gen). They are girls, and now they're the whole real legend in kpop
SNSD barelly known in this 3rd era bc yeah they barelly has an promotion and show. And some member quit the agency to Pursue their own carrer and dream. But yeah they are still slaying with their solo carrer or activity and they are one of the best kpop group. They are legend. And if you want to hear some emotional song i recommend you itnw (into the new world) Ballad version-snsd (in Tokyo dome). Its one of the best song that will get you emotional.
One of the T's in TTS, Tiffany Young, is currently promoting in the US. There's a LOT of Girls Generation content out there, including all of the solos and subgroups. They were literally the hottest group in Kpop from 2013-2015, and built a legendary history of live performances. You can't get much bigger than GG.

Girls' Generation is Korea's National Girl Group they are huge too, they paved the way for girl groups and almost all of the girl groups look up to them, idolize them and wanna be like them, they are legendary, beautiful and very talented, they even call the textbook of girl groups. They didn't disband they just had a hiatus and now every members are focusing on their solo career but they will comeback as a group, their last comeback as a group was last 2017 and their song is Holiday and last 2018 they have another sub-unit which is OH-GG! and they release a song called Lil Touch you should check it out.
