    So I have a Triumph Speed 400, purchased it new a few months back. It currently has 2800 miles. Just the other day I had an issue trying to get it started, then once started and on my way, the check engine light pops on. Emailed the dealer and they told me that this is a common issue and Triumph knows about it. Something about the chip in the ignition key not communicating with the immobilizer unit?? Dealer advised not to be concerned, keep on enjoying the bike the way it is till Triumph creates a firmware update. So now it takes a few times (turn key on/off) to get my NEW bike started. I’ve had two new Royal Enfield’s (350 & 411), a BMW C400GT scooter and never had an issue. Maybe it’s time to turn Japanese. I really like the Yamaha XSR900 ❤! Thanks guys, enjoy your reviews & rides!!

      @@josevi5835 yes, i agree. The xsr900 is a beauty! I’m just about ready to list my triumph speed 400, the check engine light went off by its self and now it’s starting up in one try as usual.

    62 year old Enfield rider. Spent many years doing Karate and Kung fu and have been doing yoga for the last 6 years. So yes, I can touch my toes. I believe all other Enfield riders are the same, so we can all ride cafe racers with ease.😊

    I have a RE GT535 Continental and I'm 66. It's my first Cafe Racer style bike, because I'd always avoided them in my 40 plus years of motorcycling. I'd heeded the stories of aching wrists and cricked backs over my long riding history. I can honestly report that it's one of the most comfortable bikes I've owned, especially on an extended run. I certainly subscribe to the theory that RE riders are more flexible than the average. They're also more adventurous, better looking and live longer.

    I´m personally very interested in the 450cc Guerrilla for my daily use ... it would be perfect for while commuting vs. the Himalaya, being probably ligher, w/ a 17" front wheel, thus much more agile and a lower seat ... plenty of torque and nice design ... I just hope they keep the Google maps on the screen for urban use.

    The side stand on the Himalyan 450 is kept small because the rear suspension can be easily lowered from 825cm to 805cm by changing the lever mechanism position with a fastening screw. With the 805cm setting, the side stand should then fit better and would not have to be shortened.

    5:02 In india Honda makes 2 350 cc roadster which have their Cafe racer official variants that's the reason RE not only can't afford to discontinue Continental GT but also need to release one more cafe racer in 350-450 cc range. Even a small niche market in india can be big enough, considering the population and demand.

    • @Bordpie

      Kind of, it may be more of a roadster like a bigger Hunter 350. They are also working on a Scram 440 which has a larger bore version of the air/oil cooled 411 engine, and will be a cheaper option to the water cooled designs. You can put a big bore kit on the 411 engines anyway if you want.

    One of the biggest reasons I bought the interceptor 650 was the almost complete lack digital bells and whistles, (it's fuel injection and ABS, that's it). I think what would be extremely interesting, (I'm not saying they would sell a single bike if they did it, just that it would be interesting), is if they did a completely analog bike. Like carbs, no ABS, no computer at all. I'm not sure they could even do it with emissions laws, but it would be an interesting bike. Personally I'm looking forward to the Classic 650 if they make one or just make a trim option for the Shotgun to basically make it a classic. If not though j will probably just buy a shotgun and paint and mod it. I live in the U.S. and really I feel like it could become what the sportster was once people here realize it's an actual bike and that you can add a bore kit and cam shaft and double the torque on the thing. Only time will tell though.

    • @jeevanchaukar
      @jeevanchaukar 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Complete analogue may not be possible but I did read about Classic 650 on the cards....
      It will happen in my opinion as RE will fully milk the 650 platform...and why not... it's a good VFM platform...
      Lots of folks in India are buying RE650 as their project bikes and modify them to their heart's content 😅

    • @willernst2721
      @willernst2721 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jeevanchaukar I think it would be awesome if they put a kickstart on the classic. Truthfully I'm not even sure if you can do that on a fuel injection engine, but I think it would be a nice touch. I'm slowly modding my interceptor into a retro sport tourer, (something that never existed but I just think is funny and fun, like I'm making it into what I would imagine a 'dad' bike would have been in the sixties).

    I'm surprised how the western automotive media is too scared to criticize a brand from the east, because of the whole apologetic stance west tends to take towards the east. But indian people can be critical and ALL have called out the unbearable lack of refinement and all the mechanical clatter in the new Sherpa 450 motor. It's quite apparent as soon as you ride it, and yet the western media is too polite or scared to say it.

I'm from India and I own a Royal Enfield the quality and the finishes aren't as good as Triumph and the response by the engine isn't as quick as triumph, Royal enfield has its own sets of designs and character which I think makes really different from triumph. These are not really ROYAL ENFIELD bikes, they are simply a jiggly made bike fitted with a nameplate that was once fitted to a great British bike. Like so many UK bike manufacturers Royal Enfield (GB) went down the pan with the likes of BSA, AJS, Matchless, Norton and a host of others. The old R.E. Meteor production line was shipped out to India and ever since anything produced with a R.E. badge has been a "joke bike". People (silly souls) bought into the nostalgia of a very cheap historic brands like R.E. and A.J.S., these penny pinchers would have better spent their money on a Trabant...............Point of interest I owned a 1961 Royal Enfield Crusader bought in 1963 for £145.......................and then having passed my "test" had a Norton Dominator 99 (600cc) that was souped up with high lift cams, twin carbs, Dunstall mega's and a bucket seat and flew like s*it off a shovel
