On a different youtube account at the moment but I asked earlier about buying this. I currently use 4 ipads for the Zibo plane but the biggest issue is not having the Captains inboard screen available that has the map and route etc on it. Seeing your one earlier made me go off and almost purchase Air Manager for the PC, a Knobster and a touchscreen monitor. I was about to press purchase for the knobster but thought I should double check this thread. Then I realised that this is not available to me at the moment. So there was no point in ordering the items just mentioned. So if this is available I would be spending some money at siminnovations but not until it is. regards Trevor
Trevor Matthews You ,me and a lot of us are hoping this gets released. He did mention Sim innovations might be working on this. Not 100% sure though. Fingers crossed.
Zibo 737 is free? Love this content, I mentioned in another video how I would love to see these same panels, but 787-9 replicas instead of 737/747. I’m almost there with a full touch cockpit and would just be the icing on the cake for me. I appreciate these may take time to design and configure. Keep up the content bud 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻
Peter Finkill Just watch the channel and I’ll be keeping you up-to-date on the plans for this. The guys at Sim innovations are considering modeling the required instruments without xtextureextractor. Then it would be possible to run the panel on a separate computer that was not attached to the computer running x-plane.
Hi Russ, seems I've been doing some parallel development of AM panels for the ZIBO B738X. I use the ZHSI system which works really well. For one thing it allows DU switching which I've managed to model. I should PM you on one of the forums to touch base as I can't post an image here. I'm retired now and flew B732, B707 and A320 but spent most of my career on B747. Regards Ian
Sure. It somewhat defeats the realism of no mouse bot the knobster can be enabled regardless if a mouse or touch is used to select the knobs. Once selected the knob still adds realism to the input and especially with multiple stacked knobs with a push button like the Garmin G530 or G1000.
Hello Sir. If I am not mistaken XTextureExtractor resets every sim restart. I believe the next best step is to integrate them all into air manager? Will the panels be up in siminnovations website? Best regards.
Lorence Dominic Narcise not sure exactly what you mean by saying it resets. Actually the XTE windows open every time the airplane is launched in the positions they were last saved. This is actually much better than the situation with the pop out windows in X plane because if you close them and open the aircraft in X-Plane again the windows will not be open. In XTE the window locations are saved manually and retain to be reloaded upon each start of the aircraft.
I've been using the EFIS and MCP panels for a while now and they work well. For info, with the XPLANE 11.50 Beta I had to change from using XTextureExtractor to ZHSI. Also, I had coded a couple of my own small components and recent updates to the Zibo mod meant I had to change my use of a couple of the datarefs (for example I think the flaps position was previously and int and is now a float). I guess you might see this too? And possibly for your overhead panel (which I haven't used). Nice work, Russ.
yes it seems like they have changed almost all the datarefs to FLOAT. Version 1.3 of XTextureExtractor stiull works fine with Vulkan XP11... at least with Zibo. I need to look at zHSI
@@rbarlow I think it might be because of Zibo's use of C++ now. I had some code which was doing a direct comparison with an int (for an auto-brake component, I think) and I had to change it to do a range check instead. It didn't take long to fix but I had to use the dataref plugin to check what was going on.
Hi Russ! looks great. quick question, did you do a "custom" extraction (like you demonstrate in a previous video for the Cirrus Vision) to get the clock & Standby ADI?
Steve W No I think the default definition file for the Zibo is included with versions 1.3 and later of X texture extractor...If not let me know and we can get it to you
Steve W Unfortunately the laminar default 737 has only a few of the systems modeled. Zibo has tried to make all the switches operate correctly.Fortunately the Zibo version is free. If you want realism I would definitely download it and fly it instead
@@rbarlow Thanks for the reply Russ. I had just downloaded XTexture extractor 2.0 yesterday. It seems to only "pop-out" the PFD, ND, upper & lower engine DUs and the iPad configuration window from the Zibo 737(I'm using latest build). No luck with clock or IFSD that you have there. Not a big deal but just trying to build a multi-configuration, multi-monitor, touchscreen type (home use) FTD as I get back into flying the 737NG (after a little over a year on 767s which my airline just permanently parked, a bit earlier than expected). Again, thanks so much for your great videos and information. I've been a r/w commercial pilot for just over 30 years (26 in airlines) but a "flightsimmer" for nearly 40! (sublogic ATP days!)
@@rbarlow sorry, I should have mentioned I am using Zibo mod, 3.40.9. I'm somewhat new to X-plane but definitely what you might call an "advanced" flightsimmer ;-)
Hi Russ... unrelated question, but I didn’t know who else to ask... do you know if there are any plans to incorporate or sync the lighting (like sun effects) of the actual airplane panels with Air Manager panels? I’m sure it’s not so simple, but it really would add a new level of realism to Air Manager... thx as always... Joey
Yes the sun would be tough since sun position and aircraft orientation and heading constantly changing. Also since the Air MGR panels have 2D graphics(the reason it can run on a very low powered computer) the shadows which are stationary wouldn’t be correct. There is a scheme for night panel lighting since that is easier in the 2d panel
@@rbarlow Great work Russ, Thanks for ur time. I am studing in Ballarat. I brought the AM, Overhead panel, and 3 iiyama touch screens. I really need the 737 main panel to practice my procedure. Would u like send it to my Gmail? kelvin155586@gmail.com

Not yet. People suggest using zHSI instead of XTextureExtractor so Zi want to look at that
