I never got scared of creepypastas or internet horror as a kid, but the GB Camera and Sonic CD’s Easter egg awoke new fears and they’re still the scariest Easter eggs to me

Read Dead Redemption 2 is probably one of the most easter-egg-packed game I've ever played. There are HUNDREDS of videos about mysteries, easter eggs, details, and more within this one game. Rockstar did an amazing job

Tuv is such an important youtuber in my life. 8 months ago I attempted to take my own life. I was struggling with depression and addiction and just wanted everything to stop. I failed, fortunately, and have been sober for almost 7 months. When I started watching Tuv I found someone who was like me. A kid chasing his dream and struggling with depression just like I was. I want to say thank you Tuv, for making those difficult times a little easier to get through 💙

Hey Tuv, just wanted to say about the glasses - if you've not worn them in ages, your eyes might have already shifted and degenerated enough that they don't 100% work for you anymore. When I went to my last checkup, the optometrist told me that over about 3 years, the eyes typically degenerate a full numerical level, give or take depending on age and growth. So if you've been leaving those glasses off for more than a few years, you can justify getting a new set that you feel suit your face! Every time I walk out of the optometrist with new glasses, I have to adjust to the sudden shift in depth perception I get from it lmao.

Fun fact: Mullet Mike once talked about the creepy ghost from Super Mario 3D Land and the Hell Valley Sky Trees in Super Mario Galaxy 2 and he later brought up the theory that they might be based on nature spirits from Japanese mythology called kodama.

It is confirmed within the Half Life lore that the people who are infected by the headcrabs are NOT dead, they're alive through-out the entire process, even after the infection and during said infection.
So they feel the pain and the body modifications.

Considering the age which the Fatal Game franchise was released, the faces appearing and the bloody hands were their own creative way of a screensaver
They may not be the creepiest and may not technically be easter eggs, but the sheer number of ghosts of humans in the Pokemon games is creepy. Ones that are 100% definitely ghosts, like the little girl who's implied to have been killed by a Darkrai or the whole haunted mansion thing with the poisoned butler. Not to mention all of the sunken ship in ORAS that seems to imply a professor got murdered for knowing too much.

I love how the ghost room from COD just has a cat picture.
Also the rat doesn't even look scary. It has the normal rat face, which I find cute.
And the HL2 zombie screams sound like swear words from my native language. So I find them funny.

You should've elaborated on Psycho Mantis. He is in fact psychic and can read your movements in game (no matter what cheats you would use). The only way to make yourself unpredictable was to plug your controller into the 2nd player slot. You actually would not have known this back then unless you had a guide or looked on the back of the game case which indicated that MGS was 1-2 players even though the game is exclusively single player.
when I was younger, listening to slowed and reversed songs was probably the scariest thing you could put yourself thru like istg I thought I was gonna get hunted down by the Illuminati for that shit 💀

I love how this video features a wide variety of games, if part 2 were to come out I suggest tuv adds the following, the Alien abduction from Bully, the "On A Rail" screams from Half Life 1, the ghost from Hitman: Contracts, dead beta Cash models from Manhunt, the krypt monster jumpscare from MK 2011, the hidden ice level from Plants vs Zombies 1, the "mehrman" sounds from Saints Row 1's demo, Undertale fun value easter eggs, the Mt. Gordo ghost in GTA V, I hope you see it tuv, keep up the good work!

The athletic team one is extra creepy due to the fact that a (seemingly) SINGULAR killer got every member of a team specializing in wrestling, baseball and fencing.
even if the killer had a gun or two; he would need deadeye and enough ammo in the gun for that.
great video tuv, there were a lot of these creeped me out (my favorite one that i didnt already know was the fatal frame one, tho the nighttime one was also REALLY cool)
slight correction: those were just the main boss themes of Sonic CD JPN and US. While the final boss theme of US is nearly identical, the final boss theme of JPN is very different, being a sort of epic opera lol

If I remember correctly, the creepy faces in Fatal frame happen even in the pause menu. I do remember coming back at four am from getting some chips and seeing that shit in the screen.

I think my favorite creepy video game easter egg is the laughing statues in Splatoon. They really have no reason to be there, but they are and it's so unsettling.

Great video! I remember some other Easter eggs like
-the Dunwich locations in Fallout 3 and 4
-the ghost sounds at graves in Fallout NV
-the cask of amontillado in Fallout 4
-Mr Trenchcoat in GTASA
-the ratman rooms in portal 1 and 2
-hidden rooms in HL2
also this technically isn’t an Easter egg but disturbing nonetheless, the original postal 1 ending.
The original ending screen from 1 and Redux does appear in the end of Postal 4 if you did the pacifist ending.

Something to add on the Doom 2 easter egg, starting up Map 30 (The Icon of Sin) the boss speaks backwards at the player starting up the level but if you reverse the audio it says “To beat the game you must beat me John Romero” meaning that that the easter egg is actually the final boss of the game. Also the only way to damage the boss is by shooting at the forehead of the icon of sin which is where the John Romero head is.

Oh and also you forgot to mention those spooky sounds in the boss stages from splatoon 1.

I just wanna say that with the Sonic CD bit, the song that plays is actually the boss theme. The JP version of the final boss theme is an entirely different song, while the US version of the final boss theme is a remix(?) of the boss theme.

Fun fact about the Romero Head: The devs put in the sprite as a joke because at the time, ID Software was ran by Romero, another fun fact, said Romero Head has 50 less health than a Revenant
