I really appreciate your understanding that match score doesn't always equate to utility in games; I have a lot of games where I'm distracting or keeping people suppressed for other players to get the kill. Same thing for the variety of builds. I could wander around in the Dragon with 3 snubnosed and get 600 damage a game, but it would be incredibly boring.
I love the HLF-C because of the SPEED. 4x SRM-4s, 4x H-MLs, 19 DHS and 4 1/2 tons of ammo married to a XL 360 and MASC. After speed tweak, you can hit 131 KPH in a 60 ton mech boating 72 Firepower and a Heat Neutral SRM-16. Great for bullying mediums and lights and flanking anything heavier.
I remember that first round. One AFK and one coward, but happy to finally see my name in a Baradul video even though we lost. On a side note as a LRM CPLT main (800+ hrs) I would like to note that inner sphere LRMs are superior to clan for the simple fact they fire all missiles at the same time. Losing lock is the bane of LRMs so its better to have all your missiles traveling at the same time. While clan LRMs look cooler they suffer more from potential damage loss due to the fact you require a longer lock from fire to hit to insure all the missiles land. Hence the less you stagger your LRMs/Missiles the more damage you'll achieve. Heat build up be damned.
At least i Know now what im Up against later in MWO .. time to max Out AMS. Thanks Bara ;)... On a sidenote : Thanks for getting the hellfire some Love.

If the LRMs offend your "Meta Sensibilities", you can easily swap them for ATM-6's & use the extra tonnage for more ammo, heat sinks, or some lasers if you need to engage something in the minimum range of the ATMs.
@@jake120007 That'd be the ATM-12 rack that you're thinking of. ATM 3's are 1.5 tons & 2 crits each, 6's are 3.5 tons & 3 crits, 9's are 5 tons & 4 crits, and the 12's are 7 tons & 5 crits.

My highlander 2c build uses 2 lrms 15 s in combination with two ultra ac10s and some medium lasers and nothing makes a guy not want to stare you down like lobbing some lrms at them. Great way to save some armor while dishing out the other weapons into them while they run.😅
i was doing a similar build on a sunspider, the ECM is quite nice, but the hellfire is awesome too. Too bad that everthing has ECM and AMS is kinda crazy now. great build and great games.

I'd drop one LRM15 to a 10, then add a Med Laser, or a couple Sm Lasers, that's just Me though. I see LRM boats run out of ammo all the time, then have nothing for the late game. I'm always worried about that lol! I know it's silly, but just in case...
The Hunchback IIC-B is good for a build like that that, since it has a pair of CT energy hardpoints so you can have both your TAG and a back-up laser without much worry of them getting shot off.
when i build a missle boat of any type i always include some back up weapons to deal with pesty players that see lrm streams and close the gap you can use anything from micropulse or small pulse to Ersmalls to meds
I get really uncomfortable with no secondaries, so for me it's 3xLRM+Artemis and 3 ERMLs plus lots of ammo and TAG....plus being able to shoot UAV's easily. :)
i find that using LRM's like ATMs i simply enjoy more than using ATMs due to the tonnage limitations (that said i am by no means a missile guy) and what i mean by that is medium-close range LRMing so i still share armor with my team and my missiles get shot down less cause im close and get my own locks alot
Been playing this a bit recently, my history with mechwarrior goes back to MW2, I had everything apart from MW3 Pirate moon, so I have to ask, what the actual F have they done to the Timberwolf in MWO, it's a shadow of how it was depicted in those games, very weak armour, incredibly poor weapons, LRM's have never been this bad in previous games, ok part of that is because of ECM, but even without they're incredibly slow to lock on to anything, and don't seem to do much damage at all. I was thinking of getting MW5 now it's on steam, but if it's anything like this I think I'll for once, not bother.
The reticule is jittering because he is activating MASC, a 'Mech system that increases your speed but causes your reticule to jitter about while doing so.
They show up on the map for a little bit longer but it doesn't extend the target lock. Basically spotting people helps your team know where they are going but it doesn't give any additional benefit for lock-on weapons.

It's even possible to do this on the HLF-B and get that extra missile velocity,
you only have to change the LRM-15s to 3×LRM-20s
When ever someone tries to put my builds down I always reply with "When you buy my Mechs for me, then you can tell me how to build them!"

Bin playing NTG-JK as a poptart narc mech with 3xLRM 20 and LBX 10 and it has the mobility now to not suck at it.

Got a challenge for ya! Twin ERLL on a ECM mist Lynx! Hint: almost no armor save for the quirks. BUT - good laser quirks too.
I only own the Void, and always struggle to find its strong point.
Same, I mostly use x2 erppcs and an lbx10. It does OK, not great though

Around the Dmg to heat ratio Clan LRM 15 is probably the most efficient but if you just want raw dmg go with the 20

I don't think you CAN underrun C-LRMs. Clans don't do minimum ranges.
