Hi there. I was looking for an alternative to using the Phantom battery and your video was perfect. Now I know I can use a LiPO battery and I bought all the stuff. The battery saved me a fair amount of money as its a lot cheaper than the phantom battery. I could understand you just fine. Keep up the good work and hope to see more hacks to save money with alternatives.
tintek33 I made 2. One with a phantom battery direct to extender and used cat 6E cables and to the phantom battery. And another to an RC battery. Both work fine. Keep on making more DIY videos.
After I watch your video I bought these items on amazon www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EL8TO6C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00935L44E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it has 12v output, I am kind of sure they will work but can you please take a look if this battery pack would work.
tintek33 i have a small problem my dji osmo works only a minute, then it shuts off I am using 12v battery pack As I send the link up there, what do you think it is problem... :(
Serkan Uysal hm, strange... You must know that 10000mah on that battery mean 10000mah on 3,7v if you stepup to 12v you got aome looses here so on 12v you got about 3000-4000mah, still must be enough to power osmo for about 30 mins... There can be some overheating or overcurrent protection, did you check the max current of power bank can give you on 12v port? I make a measurment and osmo can consume about 1-2A of current, that can be more than 5a from the 3,7V battery in the power bank. I use 3s (about 12v) basic lipo battery without problem.
tintek33 hi, please forget about what I said, I found the problem, so there was a bad/ cheap male adapter connections, so i put some aluminum foil inside male connecter the connected into battery pack then it worked well, male adapter was cheap probably... thank you for your comment anyway and your help...
tintek33 but i really think you don’t have to be sorry about anything. you can be proud, because you managed to do all important elements right. right angle, good editting, perfect use of music and a really great explanation of what you do and why. my colleague said the same. i will check out your other videos later! have a nice time!
hmm so its not the standard 5,5mm barrel but a bigger 7,4mm usually found on laptop psu's..but thanks for measuring and seems i need to do some hunting to find a connector. just buying the dji cable is a waste
yes it's some strange dimension, maybe from laptop yes, i didn't think twice and buy original conector for $5, cut it off and solder my type of connector on it. i use power supply most of time, power consumption is about 1A while working or standby but on start up it can go to 2A
yeah cheapest i can find the original 2 pin cable is about 15 euros..but still thats not too bad if i cant get the connector anywhere ill just get that
I finally made mine. And I'm thinking. It should be possible to not have the additional cable to the dji battery. I can just cut the cable from the extender and add a copper pair wire to the battery. Right?
Ricardo Rodriguez thanks, and NO you can't use power bank, it has 5v on usb output for power the osmo you need 12v so you can use 3s lipo, 3s liion, 10 cell nimh/cd, car battery, power supply, solar panel.... Whatever it just must be 12V about 1,5-2A current.
Why didn't you put the LiPo bullet connectors on the end you cut off - opposite the barrel connector? It would have saved you making the small adapter?
can you please show us the detail of which cable is the + and - and is it possible to change the socket head into usb type so we can plug into a power bank? considering everyone should have one nowaday? nive vid btw! cheers
j nuts hy, i think i explain in the vid wich cable is positive and negative. You can't use power bank because it's 5v power source. If you use step up circuit it will drain power bank with about 5-6A (this mean more than 10A out of battery in power bank) i think there is not many power bank that can hold that power
@@papasvaggelis hmm, i don't know because i don't got phantom battery, but you make me start thinking now, maybe there are some dcdc converter inside, or osmo can work with 4s also i don't know, but this original cable is for phantom battery so you can use it.

Hi, I made the connection to the external batterry pack, but cut the cable from the battery to the female connector, so far so good, but just like in your video, my voltage is 11.10 V apparently the osmo does not recognize that voltage less than 12V, since some things are activated in the osmo, but does not turn on the green light and the stabilizer does not react, I hear sounds from inside the osmo in apparent activity. also try to connect it to DC and it is the same voltage (my external battery is 12V 6800MH) Watch for your comments. Greetings thank you.

HI I WOULD LIKE to KNOW the NORMAL BATTERIES 6V 4500mAh 6000mAh 7 NIGHT V,
go well?
nice stuff
the question is. does it make sense to buy 3 18650 batteries and connect to DJI. Will work?
