To be fair for those who didn't see him use Return in the anime, it was just a bunch of scraps, I remember thinking as a kid that episode was so cool because that's what schoolyard yugioh was, you just take your best cards and try to make them as cohesive as possible.

When's "How Broken Were Chazz Princeton's Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga Cards?" though many Dragons haven't been implemented in OCG yet like Hurricane Dragon & Burning Dragon.
That list would be 3 cards. Light and Darkness is very powerful and saw tons of play. Dark-End Dragon was a decent Synchro option due to non-destruction removal. Light-End Dragon is a bit more situational but was still played by a few people.

Armed Dragons were a pretty big staple in an old friend of mine’s Blue-Eyes Deck. They were like his Midcard play when he didn’t get his Blue-Eyes stuff firsthand
Haven't even watched it yet, but gave it a like cause Manjoume deserves it.
The anime effect of Ring of Defense allows you to negate effect damage as well.
Actually, Inferno Reckless Summon was used in an OTK deck, that I found fascinating. It used Plaguespreader Zombie, some other level 2 monsters that were easy to summon, Number 93: Utopia Kaiser, and Number 100: Numeron Dragon. Basically, the strategy is, summon 4 or more rank-2 Number monsters like Number 45: Crumble Logos the Prophet of Demolition, Number 65: Djinn Buster, and even Number 96: Dark Mist in a pinch. From there, summon Utopia Kaiser, use it to summon Number 9: Dyson Sphere and some rank 8 Number like Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings. What they were didn't matter, because you'd make Number 100: Numeron Dragon before you use Utopia Kaiser's effect, and use Numeron Dragon's effect to gain ridiculous amounts of attack. Utopia Kaiser is rank 12, plus a rank 8 and rank 9, as well as Numeron Dragon's rank 1, puts the total to 30, giving Numeron Dragon 30,000 attack. Sure, Utopia Kaiser halves all battle damage your opponent takes and prevents you from special summoning for the rest of the turn, but at that point Numeron Dragon has more than enough to one-shot you when attacking over pretty much anything. Even if you had a Five-Headed Dragon for some reason, 25,000/2 is still 12,500 damage.
It was only really popular online though, because Utopia Kaiser was a prize card, and therefore, prohibitively expensive. And by the time it was released in North America as anything else, the deck wasn't viable anymore. Either something got banned or errataed, or the game just moved on to such a climate where the deck couldn't survive long enough to stack the board with enough level 2 monsters. It wasn't even that great in the first place, although it did show how good Number 45: Crumble Logos the Prophet of Demolition is. Even Djinn Buster can pull its weight if you need it to, and Gachi Gachi Gantetsu is still a solid defensive card, even if it can't handle getting banished or sent to the graveyard.

This video made me remember that Chazz had a deck consisting of individual cards he each found randomly somewhere. And somehow he turned that pile of cards into a workable deck :O

Ring of defense can’t be chained to Ring of Destruction without negating your effort in the first place. I forgot that and learned the hard way for Legacy of the Duelist. Also, your opponent can ONLY take damage if you do, which is why Ring of Defense can no longer be chained to it.

I was wondering how strong is Luna's deck from Yu-Gi-Oh 5d's because in the show, it said she was a dueling prodigy at the age of 3 taking out some of the elite duelist Rex Goodwin had in his bracket and blacked out during a duel later on as she mainly used beast cards to win somehow and while we never got a real look at all of her cards I'd like to see what the deck would look like based on your opinions.
I don’t know most of the cards Luna used in the show, but unfortunately her actual deck is weak. She’s the only main character whose deck doesn’t have an archetype or a consistent strategy. The others all have Blackwings, Morphtronics, Resonators, or Synchrons, and even Aki’s deck has a plant theme and a powerful boss monster in Black Rose Dragon. Luna’s cards simply don’t work together the way everyone else’s cards do. I wish that weren’t true, because Luna deserved much better than what she got.
Ojama country can make a high defense card into an attacker by stats switching, drawback is you need an ojama to make it work.

Chazz was such a good rival character, but jeez Louise did the later seasons just throw him in the trash. I actually really dig a lot of his pre-Ojama cards, especially Inferno Reckless Summon

I've half-jokingly said it before, but it feels like the writing for GX from season 2 onward was taken over by a new person who absolutely hated all the characters from season 1 except Jaden
@@HybridAngelZero Best I can assume is that, similar to what would happen later in Arc-V and Vrains and even 5D's to an extent, they lost confidence in what they started with and just tried to make things revolve around the main character as much as possible to streamline the plotting. Maybe in GX it started because they were less confident about managing a weekly show without a manga to base it on? Who knows. All I _do_ know is that the series composer for Vrains, most of 5D's, and Zexal in both forms steadily started having more and more writing influence for one reason or another, being the composer for the last season of both DM and GX, and the trend towards messianic protagonist-writing definitely feels like something we can "credit" him for.
We can certainly credit him for codifying and maintaining the [s]proud[/s] tradition of forgetting women exist, if nothing else...

I dont like his character but the big brain plays he did with his "0 atk" deck was the most impressive sht to me in the entire yugioh anime.

The errated Ring of destruction isn't really that bad. It's just limited to make it way more fair. It has become the most balanced trap card, much like Mirror force.

As a behind the scenes question, why did you change the thumbnail? No preference either way just interested. Love the vids!
The video was doing decently well and it had decent watch time, but the clickthrough rate was a little lower than usual on videos like this. So that told me that the thumbnail wasn't good enough. I generally have at least 2 or 3 backup thumbnails for every video just in case this sort of thing happens :)

Oh, Ring of Destruction had that errata of you taking the damage first. Thought that was Self Destruct Button.
If self destruct button had that, then it would be the worst card in the game, since it's effect would basically become "you lose the duel".

Weird how ojamas best searcher still to this day is to either set ojama blue and hope it is destroyed by battle, or by hoping that they leave a low attack point monster in attack position and punching it with 0 attack point ojama blue destroying it by battle, hoping that they dont called by the grave it at the first oppertunity, its a tough game with ojamas but its cool they need a better searcher

Ojama Trio against the early burning abyss Decks was some of the funniest shit ever. It was such a troll giving them useless tokens where if they didnt have Tourguide they pretty much couldnt summon anything 😂

You can still Draw with Ring of Destruction
While a Chain will stop if your opponent or yourself loses all remaining life points, a single card effect does not. It MUST fully resolve before the ruling of a Win or Lose is decided.
This particular ruling changed back in 2015. Konami wrote an article about it :)

Even if they errata painful choice going send 5 cards from your deck to your graveyard including at least 1 spell, 1 trap, 1 normal and 1 effect monster. It would still be broken you'd have to not be able to use the card that turn

Next video could timelords be broken what do they need
To use Rasta's scales: Consistency is okay thanks to support cards, but it rapidly dwindles as they return to the deck. Power is weird since they have 0s but good effects to hit enemy board but needing to battle also makes them very slow. Comeback ability is so bad that even in the anime Z-ONE needed to run a card that gave him like a +5 to remain threatening. Protection is pretty much okay, at least when your hand isn't empty. Versatility, they're too limited since they all do similar things, and establishing a board makes Timelords into bricks so you can't do very well splashing them into Level 10 decks, or Fairy decks outside of maybe using one of them (Metaion or Sandaion probably) as an option in Trains.
Yeah, I was at a tournament once and my opponent played Ojama Trio against me! I was playing an older build of my T.G. deck... "Yeah, thanks for the Synchro Material, dickhead!" I only had the Lv 3 Tuner T.G. Jet Falcon in my hand... Monster-wise, that is!

A Chazz roleplay deck is actually super fun to use in Duel Links. Althought it does rely heavily on Ojamamatch if you actually want to win with it, even against the AI.

Can you cover Kite or shark next really enjoyed them in the anime also vetrix would be cool. Zexel gets a lot of shit but in my opinion is a very solid anime specially s2
The only reason GX and Zexal got bad first impressions is because a lot of people get annoyed by the hyperactive main character trope. I admit I used to be one of those people, but after finally watching GX, Jaden has kinda grown on me, so perhaps the same will happen if I give Zexal a try. As a returning player from old-school YGO, I was quite surprised by how intuitive XYZ summoning was as a new game mechanic, so... I wouldn't mind knowing the lore behind it.

@@nkyfong No no no; the last two completed shows are bad, Zexal isn't a part of that. Zexal, frankly, might be the best if only because it didn't constantly shoot itself in the foot on dropped subplots and wasted character potential. That was still there, but post-Duel Monsters, it was rife. People give the latter portions of 5D's crap for wasting time and characters and forgetting subplots left and right, but it had NOTHING on the crapfest that Arc-V(a) became. You _can_ at least watch that one for a time - opinions vary as to whether you should stick with just the first season or watch to the end of the second - but the ending is such an unmitigated DISASTER, outside of a few choice duels it's completely unworthy of your time. And Vrains...Vrains managed to end well at least, but it too was a mess, and unlike Arc-V, didn't even have a "good" period.
If you want specific details on those two, I'll get into more, but again, you're better off going from Zexal _straight_ into Sevens. The last two Studio Gallop shows are just, on the whole, not. good. at. all.

@@nkyfong Not at first; it's a slow burn. Again tho; I'd _almost_ recommend the dub for Arc-V/Vrains so you could just have them on in the background and skim thru them more easily. Merely _almost,_ of course, because hearing dub names and at least half of any dub cast is generally enough to make your ears bleed. (seriously: "Zuzu Boyle"?? "Gong Strong"??? "Reiji" becomes "Declan"??? _"George Gore"???_ WTFIWWY???)
