Satan is trying to yoke us to bondage however we need to yoke ourselves with Christ and be free from the bondage of the adversary. This is what I gather from what you are saying, Caitlyn. And by making covenants in the House of the Lord and staying on the covenant path we do just that... We yoke ourselves with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! I bear testimony that this is true. Sincerely, Brother Powers

Our temple is closing for renovations. It will be closed for over a year. It all depends on how much mold they find in the walls (remember, I live in Florida) and how deep it is. We have a total of five in Florida, but until the Tallahassee temple is dedicated, there will only be one operating temple, and that one has limited sessions. It's four hours away. Tallahassee would be about ten hours away. That and Jacksonville (when it gets dedicated) will cover Florida's panhandle, and when they are all complete and renovated, we'll have Tampa, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale to cover the peninsula. But Tampa (which will be our temple) hasn't even had the groundbreaking yet. So, until things move, we will only have one operating temple with limited sessions. It's going to be a trial. But temples are the answer!

I have been a member my entire life, and as I grew up, the nearest temples to me were always 3 hour away from my hometown. For a dozen years, I prayed for a temple, but as time passed, I kind of took it for granted that I the nearest temples would only be in the Phoenix area of Arizona and the temple in San Diego, California.
But! Now we will have a temple here in Yuma, Arizona! I have no idea why Yuma was chosen. Apparently, it was chosen because a temple will help Yuma, Arizona grow financially.
Fun fact: For those who dont know, my hometown is named Yuma because that is the name of the nomadic native american tribe, called the Yuman Tribe, that was in the area when Yuma was founded nearly 100 years ago. They helped the eary settelers make a port on the Colorado River that still runs through Yuma to this day, and apparently, it the founders were thankful for the help, that as the town grew, the town was named Yuma.

Sorry, sorry. I did some research into this and I need to correct what I said regarding the founding of Yuma.
During the Calirfornia Gold Rush, what was then called Colorado City in 1854, Yuma was the safest place to cross the Colorado River.
Eventually it would be named Arizona City, and finally in 1914, the city was renamed as Yuma, in honor of the Yuman Tribe.

I love the analogy you share of breaking the yoke of bondage for a yoke with our Savior. It is amazing that 98% of our members will be that close to the Temple. It's been fun to watch you get started and grow with your channel. Thank you for sharing your testimony and these important insights.🤗

I have not watched your whole video yet, but my gut feeling is that Temples are going to be needed, like never before…as we go into the Millennium! Yes, it is important so that all members have access to those eternal blessings found in the temple TODAY, but looking ahead as Father in Heaven certainly does, He is planning for the Thousand Years of Peace that is rapidly approaching us! My opinion of course! Enjoy your channel! Bob

My temple is a smaller temple. We are busy espe ially when nearby temples close for cleaning. I started do sealings on the first sealing group every day. We were kucky to have enough patrons to do coupkes little lone sealing children to parents. Since conference, we now have multiple sealing rooms busy.
Brad Wilcox gave a talk about what will happen when Christ returns. We could have millions of people requesting to join his church. Once they are baptized, wont they want to go to the temple for themselves and their deceased family members? I have heard that at that time, temples will need to ve open 14 hours a day.

I love the parable of the trees. Poverty exists because of wickedness in the hearts of men. Cleanse hearts and people will take care of one another, much like the trees do. The focus on Temples is right on as they change our hearts.

It is a happy, sad moment when you desire to do many things in the temple but have to make appointments, and are then limited on what you can do because of the high volume of people that are going and serving in the temples we now have. When one hungers to serve but is limited it just brings more of a hunger and desire for more temples and for the point in time where we will be able to spend as much time in the Lord's house as our hearts desire. I might say I'm craving the moment spoken of when the temples will be open 24 hours a day. What a fantastic problem to have, so many people attending the temple that there is not a lot of time to complete a pile of ordinances because of the sheer volume of people doing the Lord's work. It makes me happy for the progressing of the Lord's work, but sad that I cannot do as much as I would like to do. Alas, there will be a time when those problems will be removed and we can freely serve for an unexpected amount of time. What a blessed day that will be, and oh how I look forward to it.

    • @BettyHorn

I don't know that it will happen until we get enough people willing to serve as workers. At least, that's our problem here. I keep telling myself that it's all only temporary.

Could you share the list of blessings? The one of the deliverance of the yoke of this world showed me how little I know on how to apply the verses. I am use to read literally what is said, but your example opened my eyes on how can I apply the scriptures to my self. I still continue to study the section but I would love to learn more from that list. And yes, that promise is so great, when we feel stuck and in emotional/spiritual slavery.❤

It’s actually a list of ways you can serve.
      Here it is!
Invite someone from another faith or viewpoint to do something social with you.
Resolve a conflict in your life.
Make everyday life accessible for others. What do they miss? Want? Need?
      Be funny and be kind.
Fast and give a generous fast offering; refraining from eating for 24 hours so someone else can eat is an elegant solution anyone can try.
Improve your skills at preserving food so it can be eaten out of season.
Set aside a little non-perishable food, when possible, to build a reserve.
Plan RS/EQ activities for new parents that include practical education and support.
Put your phone away and interact with people by looking in their eyes.
      Choose a project on JustServe.
Organize and post a project on JustServe.
Prepare healthy snacks to share with friends.
Help kids read aloud. Nothing improves children’s cognitive skills more than reading with adults who care about them.
Give books as gifts and share why you specifically chose it for that person.
      Surprise people with your talents.
Start a recipe-sharing group for new ways to prepare and love vegetables.
Find other incentives besides sugary treats for Primary, soccer practice, FHE, and after-school snacks.
Find a chance to focus on cooperation instead of competition.
Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved.
Research the specific reasons that hunger might be on the rise in Rexburg.
Volunteer to read to a school class.
Help a child with homework after school.
Share music with someone you love.
      Listen to music they love.
Cook with kids and let them make decisions about how meals are prepared.
Plant a garden and share the produce.
Choose healthier food options for yourself.
See if a walk in nature will lift your spirit.
      Take someone with you.
Ensure a private place and supportive environment at church, work, and campus for mothers who breastfeed or pump.
Support local lending libraries and other resources for good books.
Work with your local government to ensure your community’s access to water, air, and food sources are free from contaminants and impurities.
      Grow something from a seed.

Not to be unrighteously judgemental but according to the legitimate bible, the LDS (Mormon) church is not biblical and its members are not born again Christians. You do not accept Christ as God. Only God is good and can give Himself as a pure, unblemished, sacrifice for our sins (which Christ did). Only God (Yahweh) is our Savior. There is noone else. You do not believe in the triune God. The traditional, legitimate bible clearly teaches that all three persons of the trinity are God. If you trust the LDS version of the bible, book of mormon, and the other man-made so-called authoritative documents e.g pearl of great price, etc... according to the legitimate bible, you will perish.

I think you would be surprised at how much we have in common.
I 100% believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ! That only He has the power to save! I also believe that Jesus Christ is a God! Also, I read the King James Bible, as well as other versions sometimes for clarification ie. NIV, NEV… I am also trying to become a new person in Christ! It is a process and I strive to get closer to Him everyday and allow Him to change my heart and my very being!
I’m grateful for the Book of Mormon, because it teaches the same truths that the Bible does! It teaches of Jesus Christ and of a people who are striving to follow Him. In fact His name is referenced every 1.7 verses to equal 3,925 times through the book! That’s amazing to me, not only that but the Holy Ghost has witnessed to me of the goodness of it. I’m grateful for my belief in yet “another witness” of Jesus Christ.
I’m also grateful for the knowledge I have that God wants all of His children to be happy forever and return to Him! Not just members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons/lds) but all of His children who choose to believe in Jesus Christ! I think we will all be surprised at how loving He truly is.

@@AnticipatingChristsreturn So, if we become "gods" how does that happen? Who gives us our "god" power e.g. omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, holiness, righteousness, etc...? These are characteristics of Jehovah the ONLY God. The first commandment says in part "... thou shalt have no other gods before me..." And later, "...I am a jealous God..." Throughout the scriptures it is stated explicitly and implicitly that there is only one God - Jehovah. Also, the holy trinity is strongly implied throughout both old and new testaments. Jesus is not "a god". He is THE GOD. If you believe He is a god, you will perish because as "a god" He would not be "without blemish or spot" only "THE GOD is perfect and able to pay for our sins.

@@scottnyseth6755you are a victim of what Paul warned us about in Ephesians 1:8, that is to beware of people who would preach "another gospel". Your belief about the nature and person of God reflects the false teachings of the Nicene Creed rather than the gospel taught by Christ. The creeds of man that sprung up after the death of the apostles are philosophies of man mingled with Scripture. This resulted in the foolish doctrines taught by traditional Christianity. If you doubt that just ask yourself why there are so many Christian churches with differing beliefs. That is why it was necessary for a restoration in order for true doctrine to be available once again. We teach that the Godhead consists of three separate and distinct individuals, namely, God, the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. God the Father and Jesus Christ have glorified and perfected bodies of flesh and bone. The Holy Ghost is a personage of Spirit. They are physically seperate but perfectly united in will and purpose. And because of the Blood of Christ which perfects us we can become like God. Because of his death we are cleansed from sin and become perfect. Because of his resurrection we will be resurrected to a perfect and immortal body. And because of his atonement we can have Eternal life. Now, if we are perfect, immortal, and have eternal life, aren't these the attributes of a God. We believe that we will be heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. What will we inherit? We will be given all that God has.

@@rckburris If you do not believe the Nicene Creed, a belief statement that was produced by Godly men that had access to better sources of information than we ever did in Joseph Smith's time until the present, then you will not believe anything I try to show you from the bible. I only warn that if you persist in believing man-made "revelations" like the Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, etc... YOU WILL PERISH. If you believe that God who had the power and wisdom to create heaven and earth and all things in them, but can't keep His word accurate for all to read and obtain salvation, then you will believe anything that tickles your ears. Respectfully I tell you, YOU ARE THE VICTIM.
