Tretinoin is the most powerful agent in skin regeneration and looking youthful. However, it is a double edged sword. I used it and it worked wonders but it permanently damaged my sebaceous glands in my eyes. Now I have permanent dry eyes. It has gotten better over the years but I regret using tretinoin...It only took 5 months for me to notice the side effects. Be very very very careful...my eye was so dry back then I couldn't even go outside of my room (a very dry eye cannot clean itself from debris in the atmosphere). I had to work googles sometimes...it was very very very very scary. I wasn't the only one. I posted this on reddit a long time ago and still get messages from that post 5 years later. Even if you dont apply it near the eyes...i think the blood veins near the nose sort of bring it up near the glands...who knows! If I HAVE to use tretinoin, i would only use it below the nose area to make sure nothing gets near my eyes and wear an eye mask to make sure it doesn't get near my eyes if I roll over in bed.
