There has never been a country or a nation called western Sahara, The whole conflict is between Algeria which was backed by the east during the cold war time, and Morocco which is backed by the west, all that following the conflict of the two nations over the borders when France left the area. France grabbed lands from Morocco and Tunsia and giving it to Algeria which was its last colonial land which they thought they will stay in it forever after 130 years of occupying it.

Yes, both Spain and France gradually chipped away territories of Morocco in the 19th century and eventually combined their forces to finish off the rest of Moroccan territories in the 20th century. There were also annexations made indeed by the French and the Spanish since they thought those Moroccan territories would be theirs forever. Algeria is not willing to give those territories back. At least 1/6 of Algeria was Moroccan territory, but those 1/6 were indeed also added by the french to Algeria.

If you can't even determine who wants what on a piece of land, isn't that already a sign in itself? Like seriously, claiming the Western Sahara, which if you look at it is a clear continuation of Moroccan territory geographically speaking, if it takes so much effort to deny Morocco's claim on that land and can't even be backed up by popular demand and requires a neighbor country's manipulations then it seems like we're trying too hard to prove this is not Moroccan territory instead of proving this is part of the Republic of Western Sahara.
Compare this with Israel and Palestine. There's a clear and powerful demand for the Palestinian state. Such a contrast.

It won't work because Morocco invaded and massacred a large number of the native people, mostly men resisting the annexation. The women and children fled to refugee camps in Algeria. Then Morocco brought in tons ofi mmigrants from the North attempting population replacement. They even banned the native Sahrawi Hasaniya Arabic dialect. Hundreds of thousands of Sahrawis have been in exile for 40 years.
So the vote would most likely be biased.

This conflict is a result of french and spanish colonization. Moroccan territory was split like a cake among colonizers, they did whatever they wanted, and eventually left Morocco in pieces and fighting for whatever it could have back of its territories. It is not a question of colonaziation as the polizario propaganda suggest, it is a question of a Morocco that's trying to protect its territorial unity and its right to be liberated from the shadows of colonization that left not only Morocco but all African nations stuck in ruins of the past. All these conflicts only benefit global powers in keeping an upper hand on Africa and using its resources, by making it unstable and unable to be independent.

Don't lie to me. Before the Spanish occupation, the Sahara was not part of Morocco. When the Spaniards arrived in the Sahara in 1884, they spoke to the Saharan ruler and the Sultan of Mauritania. That is why, when Morocco and Mauritania, with the assistance of the United Nations in 1975, brought the Sahara case before the Hague court, it ruled that Western Sahara, because of its lack of sovereignty ties, with Morocco and Mauritania, could be subject to resolution 1514, which grants the Saharan people the right of self-determination that awaits them so long.

I really don't believe it, anyone who knows a little bit about history knows that the Sahrawi population was organized into tribes, so asking about a king doesn't make sense. If you know, I'll tell you again, when the Spaniards arrived in the Sahara, they talked to the Sultan of Adrar el-Tmar and the most respected Sahrawi leader in the area. The only solution is to let western Sahara people decide via a free referundum, as decided by united nations in the early sixties. Morroco can say whatever they want, it's not up to them, the reality says that Algerians and Saharouis are against morroco occupation, but one silent player who's also against the morrocan occupation, but he is quiet, but at the same time he accepts western Sahara as an independent country, I am talking about Mauritania.
The funny thing, morroco sleeps for a century and whenever Algerians, muritanias or Saharouis free their lands from French and Spanish occupation, morroco claims that's it's his land!!!!!!!
These three countries knows very well the history of occidental Sahara and they will never let morroco impose his occupation agenda, trust me never ever.
We have the same problem which gulf countries were having with Saddam regim. Morrocans has to respect their neighbors borders or it will end up with a big war in the region, because we won't let them impose such unfairness.
This is the history of western Sahara, and you can judge!!

Actually the blackmail over Spain came from Morocco by spying over the Spanish MP ( Pegasus scandal) and by lifting control over the border at Ceuta and Melilla which led to a flow of illegal migrant into Spanish Territory. Western Sahara territory is not an Algerian affairs simply because there is no territory claims over it. The two concerned by this territory dispute is Morocco and Polisario. The Moroccan Sahara is a disputed territory located in the Western Sahara region of North Africa. It has been the subject of a long-standing conflict between Morocco and the Polisario Front, which seeks independence for the territory.
Morocco claims sovereignty over the region and has established a government presence there, while the Polisario Front maintains control over some parts of the territory. The conflict has been ongoing since the 1970s and has involved military clashes, political negotiations, and international mediation efforts. Currently, the United Nations maintains a peacekeeping mission in the region known as MINURSO, which is tasked with monitoring a ceasefire that was agreed to in 1991. There have been some recent diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict, but it remains unresolved.
