@@amjbeatz ahhhhhh that’s one spirit I haven’t really tried out yet. I like that the passive gives you more defense. I’ll probably make a build with the bull goat armor set or something using it. See how much base attack damage we can get
the fan is the biggest key here. getting that off is the biggest point. his hits aren't TERRIBLE, so tanking through a couple is fine. get that fan, take his shield down, then go ham

I appreciate how straight forward this is. But, too bad his attack pattern keeps changing on me. Every time I have fought him that first to second phase has been different every time. Idk why.
I messed up because I’m on my third play through and I have not faced him yet!! I totally forgot about the true ending and now that I’m on my third play through the challenge is much more difficult since you can die a lot faster, I’ve been stuck on the the great sage for 3 days now 😂 and eventually when I do beat him again I will have to face Erlang for the first time and I just know it’s gonna be a tough one.
@@trapkoda I made a video on how to beat the great sage as well if you wanna check it out. If you’re on NG+2 then you can use the same strat but include the medicines that buff your damage, crit, crit damage and damage reduction
Would be nice iif thae bat would work. Any bane i sent to him he soaks up into his weapon then banes me. Had to work out my own strat not relying on the bat. Fan. when shield drops.full charged high then wandering wight First stage done axe dodge to the left jump to the right run up azure dust after shield gone few whacks stage 2 done. When shoots knives cloud step when he lands wandering wight impbolise staff spin fan few whacks azure dust for the final shild then dead. This fight is more of a puzzle that rotation he hardly gets any of his moves out.
@@tonylee8784 for the bat to work you gotta have it maxed level and only use it when his shield is gone. Azure dust is the other spirit right ? The bird guy that leaves a frost mist ?
@@lNVenus I had frost build up maxed prob hitting him when his shield was up. No azure dust is the rock thing he stops attacking you when you pop it and can take his full shield down.

You should try with the adept spine shooting fuban staff. Less damage but 25% crit. Infinite Fan 😂

You have to lock on to the enemy to get the fan at him, happened with me too

If you want to take a break from the great sage butt whopping, you can actually fight erlang before the great sage.
